360° Restaurant Piz Gloria in Lauterbrunnen

I visited this mountain and restaurant several years ago and we had a good experience. The 360 restaurant is very nice with amazing panoramic views of the surrounding mountain area. One of the main reasons for visiting was not only to see the mountain, but to visit the restaurant as it was a popular filming location for one of the James bond movies. The food and drink was tasty, at the time we met the manager and she was very friendly and talk to many people. She said that people mainly come here for the James bond filming location. I would recommend getting a reservation for the restaurant as it is popular and can get busy. When I visited it wasn't too bad but it was a little busy. If you in Switzerland, this mountain and restaurant is worth a visit - Recommend

Service very poor, shouting around to communicate with each other. Seem very stressed and forget orders. It takes ages to get noticed. ambience is great.

If you've reached the top of the mountain, you should come eat here as well. I like sparkling wine and drinks that can be refilled at any time. The food is delicious, buffet style with a lot to choose from, good atmosphere, the restaurant rotates 360 degrees. Eat and enjoy a unique view. Anyone who is afraid of dizziness Let me tell you, I don't have any dizziness. But if you get up to scoop up food, you have to remember your seat as well😁😁 It's like when you drink, you can't find a table. Photography lovers must like the views that rotate for unique photos. Overall, I like it. Next time will definitely come again.

I loved the place, although I wish it had been clear the day I went. I was there in April and that day it was cloudy and snowing, but from time to time the clouds allowed me to see the beautiful view of the mountains around. The restaurant has a small museum related to the filming of the James Bond 007 Movie, and you don't have to pay extra money to enter. You will find references to the movie everywhere, even in the bathrooms hehe. To enjoy the view in the rotating area (360 degrees), it is important to make a reservation in advance, and if you go before May, be prepared for the possibility of not being able to see the landscape because there may be a lot of clouds. If you have the Swiss Travel Pass you only pay 50% of the cost of the cable car to get to the top where the restaurant is. Enjoy your trip to Piz Gloria Schilthorn!

Good service and good food. We ordered a la carte. There is still the option of a brunch at a fixed price. You can then help yourself at the counter. We were then able to get our own dishes, but only selected ones. Great view as we sat right by the window. If you come during peak meal times, it's better to make a reservation.

Great. Very fast service. The restaurant was full of customers, but they found a seat for us. The tables with visitors rotate in a circle, but the window sill does not. Therefore, do not put things on the windowsill, otherwise they will move away. I saw a man looking for his missing helmet. There is a James Bond menu. Or you can pay 37 francs per person and get food from the buffet.

Booking is highly recommended. James Bond Brunch is a really good value, all you can eat, including drinks.

Revolving restaurant with view. Went for ala carte and find it more worth it as compared to buffet of $37 chf per adult.

It was fun to sit on the revolving side. But in 20 mins started feeling dizzy 😄 Food was good. Really liked the snitzel and tomato soup.

Piz Gloria is a very good restaurant at the Schilthorn station in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland. The food is very good, offering a large variety of plates. My wife had the pork schnitzel and I had the vegetarian spaghetti Piz Gloria, both being delicious. The service was excellent, with Davide taking excellent care of us. And having lunch in a rotating restaurant with these magnificent views of the Alps cannot be beaten.

Delicious Food With Mountain View Especially When You Sit Neat The Windows. Since I Came In Weekday , Resto Was Not Too Crowded And They Served Fast. Love The Spagetti , The Ham Baguette , And Salad. Cold Weather Makes Stomach Craving For Food.

The quality of the food is below average and too expensive, the friendliness of the staff is poor - if you don't tip you will be left standing and not said goodbye. The cable car drivers shout at the guests. Catastrophe! But the view is worth the visit. In Graubünden people are more tourism and hospitable. There it was understood who paid the wages, in contrast to the Bernese Oberland. They don't eat nails there...

Ok food, expensive according to the story

All James Bond friends should watch the film again before visiting. The outside view is in the film. The beautiful view is available in the restaurant or the viewing platform. Even though the burger with 007 branding wasn't the best of my life (in the truest sense), I still recommend eating it THERE. And another espresso from a 007 cup. And visiting the toilet. The 180 degree film is well worth seeing.

Waited 20 minutes to get acknowledged, waited another 15 for drinks, +25 mins for food, both orders incorrect, couldn’t get waiter’s attention to fix it so we just dealt with it. Food was not good. Staff seemed nice but our waiter was very rude. Windows are so dirty you can’t even enjoy the view. Not worth it at all, just come up for the view and go back to Mürren for food!

A meal in the rotating restaurant will set you back more than 60 francs. The dinner includes the rotating restaurant experience and the mor than 100 franc cost of getting there.

Pretty good food. Thought the price was very reasonable for Switzerland. Great view, most of the day. Clouds rolled in but then rolled away. You can always check the live cam before buying tickets. I had the Sausage Wheel with onion gravy and Rosti. My wife had the spaghetti Piz Gloria. She said hers was ok, mine was great, that's why I have 4 stars. Also had cappuccinos.

This is a beautifully located restaurant and only access is via cable car. It was where James Bond (on her majesty's service) was filmed in 1969. The restaurant itself does not rotate but the internal ring located by the windows of the restaurant rotates giving you a 360 view as it rotates. Food is ok, quite pricey for what it is and not many halal items. Overall it was a great experience and did get some amazing shots from outside the restaurant.

You have to see it once, it's impressive. And also the peace and quiet that you can enjoy when it's turning. You can simply perceive everything differently. The food was also delicious, enough choice, and nice service staff

Good. I hiked up late getting here so the faculties were closed. But otherwise clean and good.

As soon as I entered (after 3 p.m.), the female staff member guided me to the middle seat and said, "This is the only seat available." He said and quickly walked away. When I looked back, I was upset because there were many empty seats near the window, so I told the male employee that I wanted to change seats and then did so. When ordering, ask, “Would the small size fries be enough for two women to eat?” I asked, and was given an unserviceable response, “How should I know, it’s up to you to decide.” “Okay, then just give me the small size. (I also ordered other menu items)” and when I tried to pay after eating, they asked me to pay for the large size. When I told them I had ordered a small, they yelled at me and said, “You guys ate the large size, so pay for it.” (I thought I was going to get scolded by my parents for raising my voice.) "I ordered small french fries because I also ordered other menu items, and I even asked you a question. How do we know if the food served is small or large? ?" The answer came back... "No but you ate Large!" If possible, I would have just paid, but I said I couldn't pay that way because I thought other customers (especially Asians) would have this attitude. Isn't it right to say sorry for making a mistake? everyone! If they don't "purposely" give you a window seat, don't bother eating here (it's not delicious enough to eat here while being treated like this). If you are racially discriminated against (dismissive) due to poor service, please stand up to them confidently. See the scenery from the outdoor observatory^^

Nice restaurant. I was expecting exorbitantly high prices for the location. Pleasantly surprised it wasn't the case.Seeing a different mountain peak every few minutes was great.

There are beautiful views, an awful lot of people both up and on the way in the cable car. Food overpriced €12 mini soup and there is no place to sit, if there are more of you, you have to book a table in advance. They are currently remodeling the entire restaurant from the side.

We booked for the buffet lunch which was nice. The thin air being so high up unfortunately had my husband to not feel too well as he has health problems so we had to come back down sooner than we planned. It is brilliant there though so enjoy.

The place lives from the great view! The best place to look out the window is to eat. The service was great. He gave us great advice. The four of us didn't want to eat too much. The platters were rich and very tasty. Nevertheless, it remains a tourist spot.

It is not so much the cuisine or the expeditious service that makes the establishment quality but the view and the 360-degree rotating restaurant. Let yourself be charmed by a breathtaking spectacle, at an altitude of 2,970 m, in a location where the sixth James BOND film was filmed in 1969. I recommend the Bond package which will allow you access to the place as well as a meal and a glass of Champagne.

Very good dishes and beautiful location, the prices are a little high and they put you in a bit of a hurry to eat if you haven't reserved.

Really feels like what sort of tourist trap you'd expect in the States. Very unfriendly service , a buffet that doesn't get replenished regularly, and when it's there the quality might be the lowest in the country that I experienced. You go here for the view, if it's cloudy, not worth the price of entry.

The worst food I’ve had in a while and the only bad food experience we had in Switzerland. The service was bad as well. The waiter was keen on chatting up with someone for over 5-10 min. We checked the menu online and wanted him to take the order. He didn’t even look at us, instead, gave us the menu after 5min. We had to call him multiple times before he could even turn around from his conversation to take the order. When we arrived, they were not keen on seating us as well. Hosts and waiters walked by as if we didn’t exist. We had to keep calling them till finally someone reluctantly attended to us. The burger was dry and felt like it was re heated. The beef patty was bad. The buns used were definitely not fresh. The pasta was extremely bad as well. However the ambience and view is good! Don’t come for the food. Come for the view. We came after 2, so didn’t have the brunch, but instead ordered from the menu.

Paying a lot, gaining less. Top prices for worst service. Waiter asked for tips. If you are a couple like us, probably you won't get a panorama table as those are "reserved" for a bigger groups. Windows are dirty so the view is blurred. They are building something outside on each station. So instead of enjoying the beauty and silence you are hearing the digger. Unfortunately there is no warning or any notification there is a building site. The mountains are wonderful, ofcourse. I hope I still can focus on it today.

A different place because of its views and because the ring outside the restaurant rotates constantly 🤩🔥 The buffet is 100% recommended, depending on whether it is summer or winter it is worth between 25-37 CH. This includes good quality food, juices, coffee, dessert and plenty of prosecco. Great!!

The only good thing about this place is the rotating view (given clear skies). The food is barely decent and the service is hit and miss. Some of the staffs are plainly rude.

Entering the restaurant was impressive and the reception as a birthday guest was unique. Although there were many guests present, the two of us had a table by the window with special place settings, napkins and candlelight. The menu promised a lot. To decide what to order, we enjoyed a glass of glass and were impressed by the turning of the base. The view from the window left a lot to be desired as there was a thick fog. We were very impressed with the service from Mr. Rodrigues and it was just perfect. When the food arrived, the menu kept its promise of “top cuisine”! There aren't many restaurants in our city of Bern that can keep up. Congratulations to the whole team!!!!

Just wow. 😍 The view was wonderful. We reserved a window seat in advance and were then able to have a leisurely brunch with this wonderful view. The selection at the buffet was huge and had something for everyone (vegetarian or meat, healthy or unhealthy, for young and old). After visiting the 360° Restaurant, you can also look at the James Bond exhibition, enjoy the view outside or (if booked in advance) take a helicopter or parachute down.

We went to Piz Gloria for the view but we were unlucky due to the cloudy weather we had. I visited the site twice ( once in October and the other one in June). Without a clear view, the experience is not that great. The food, however, doesn't disappoint with great varieties of food and all kinds of drinks( juices, coffee, tea, and even alcoholic beverages are served) My advise is check the weather ahead of your arrival and plan accordingly 👌

I have been here with my family and we tried to be in happy mood even though the weather upside is not good. While we are enjoying the meal, one of the staff came to us and VERY UNPOLITELY complained to my father that “hey, dont you see this chair?”. I realized that the chair at the end of our table was fell down and kept making a sound because the restaurant is basically rotating continually. I do not know who fell the chair down (my father or it naturally stuck between the table leg and rotating device), but the attitude was really shocking. That kind of emotion is like to scold the student from the teacher when you did something very wrong. I cannot forget the way how the guy sees my father and my family with a real essence of rudeness.

Experience and principle of the 360° restaurant are good. Bad luck for us, the fog had settled on the summit so no view (the vagaries of nature). The service is cold (I'm not talking about the dishes), we are in a separate setting and unfortunately the server we had did not take us on a trip. As for the quality of the dishes, they are basic, average. What makes it stand out are the prices and the logos on the burgers. We are not convinced about the restaurant.

Shilthron is an amazing place. Beautiful view, 3 cable car transfers. Great experience!!! My family and I were very much looking forward to having lunch at the Agent 007 restaurant!!! We were charmed by the beautiful scenery and the 360 ​​degree panoramic view was a treat for the eyes :) I praise the staff's approach, nice and fast. !However, a huge disappointment awaited us when they brought the food. We ordered salmon with spaghetti, schnitzel with fries and chicken nuggets + fries. My plate already looked disgusting at first glance. Salmon taken out of the freezer heated in the microwave, spaghetti cold and swollen as if it were leftovers. The sauce cannot even be described. The biggest bonus was the hair in the food! The fries in the children's portion were cold and dry - (semi-finished product from Lidl) Schweinschnitzel, so I prefer not to comment on that, but horror. I think that a restaurant called Agent 007 in such an unusual place should not be presented with such food! A simple meal that is fresh and actually cooked by a chef would do! Otherwise put a Mc Donald there and it will be more level.

Going up to schiltorn we experienced very rude lady that works in cable car. Were are a family of 5 and we only have 4ticket because my youngest doesnt need one, my wife and youngest entered the barrier together after i scan the ticket but the rude lady just took from me the other ticket and scan it aswell, so i told her she is just 5y/o and she responded with sarcasm by telling me my wife is not 5. Couldnt help my self and trow the ball back and said "Obviously".

High-altitude restaurant with a James Bond theme, a film of which was filmed there. Everything is linked there. It is the highest point of the resort with a superb view. The restaurant has a part that rotates 360 degrees to enjoy the view. For the rest, it's a high-altitude restaurant with people coming and going, the service is quite quick, we had the James Bond burger.... The steak is a meat reconstituted with a mixture of spices , especially a shame at the price paid. We clearly come here for the view and the James Bond atmosphere, to eat in a warm place before enjoying the slopes.
