A1 Grauholz Restaurant Süd in Ittigen

We were driving from Zürich to Leukerbad (about 3.5 hours) and we were positively surprised to find such good food at a restaurant on the highway. They have an asian station with rice noodles/rice and various meat / vegetarian toppings (chicken curry, shrimp curry, vegetables curry, etc). You also have the option to add spices (chilly paste, soy sauce, cocos flakes) to make it more flavored. Good price quality ratio, quite cheap for Switzerland I would say given that you get to decide how big of a portion you want.

Nice ambience and the food is good. Price-performance ratio is right.

The Grauholz Restaurant Süd just before Bern if you're coming from Zurich or Basel on the A1 is certainly always an option if you don't want to have a snack here at lunchtime. The restaurant is clean and the menu includes standard hearty food.

The fact that you have to pay for the use of the toilets even when you consume something is, given the relative condition (uncleaned), a complete demolition! The staff, especially an older lady, is very rude! A pity…

Meal not too bad but a little expensive over €60 with 2 dishes, a dessert and 1 starter.

Finally good food on the highway. This is my stopping point! A choice of vegetables, salmon or meat (on the day). Meal that tastes good. Not too heavy. Perfect for me. The right price! It is calculated according to the weight of your plate. PS: I avoid coffee: €4.5 It was half of my evening meal price: €9.90 I preferred to abstain from it.

Unfortunately, friendliness is a foreign word! In addition, everything is transferred. Hardly any space to put anything down. The tables are dirty. Nobody cares about cleanliness. What does it look like in the kitchen?

It is not possible to wash your hands without having to pay 1.- Nothing is free, no customer service... In addition, the background music was set to "parasite fm" 😕 probably so that I didn't stay too long and freed up the place 😁

Watery milk coffee for CHF 5.30 is very expensive. Nut summit has a perceived weight of 30 grams. So no need to stop here!

Terrible food, stale, wrong labeling... rarely a break so bad. Drinks only in plastic bottles instead of bottling. expensive too. Better take a sandwich and a piece of cheese with you and sit outside.

Unfortunately, the food is just okay and way too expensive. Generally too expensive even for tanks. Staff is nice. Now go home and go to bed quickly

I always feel comfortable in this restaurant. The service is friendly and dogs are allowed at the table. There is also water for the dogs.

Self-service on a highway. Too bad to have to pay 1CHF to go to the toilet after spending 40CHF in the restaurant, all to use a not very clean toilet which smells strongly of urine.

Nothing particularly positive or negative stood out. Rather expensive.

Lots of food available, some to warm up

Neat but not too large rest area. The takeaway counter, convenience store and seating are located in one room. Switzerland is of course not cheap, the cappuccino cost us 5.50 CHF, a piece of cake 'Linzer Torte', 4.20 CHF. The cost of the toilet could be fully recovered. The parking lot was sufficiently large and tidy.

Not bad parking for Switzerland. The city of Bern is close, you can walk there. There is free WI-FI, slightly reaching the car. You can get water in the parking lot. Toilet 1 euro. The main disadvantage is an expensive shower, 9 euros. The signs stand for no more than 15 hours, but for 45 they all stand normally.

Simply a motorway rest stop - have no expectations - is a functional place

Open 24/7, expect a crowded place on week-end evenings. Important also, you can leave Grauholz in both directions! Very practical indeed when all is closed in Bern!

Very nice motorway relay. Pleasantly surprised by the cafeteria on the ground floor. Fresh and homemade products (sandwiches, cakes, etc.). There is a restaurant upstairs, but I haven't tried it.

Preferably in the Kaffebar Nord friendly staff.

Unfortunately, you first have to report to the checkout to access the wheelchair toilet, as a security door has to be opened. If no one is there or has time, things can become critical for wheelchair users. We need to rethink this

Great parking, there's an Aldi store nearby. During the day the toilet is franc, in the evening they open a free one, where you can get water. Shower 8e is expensive, of course, but it’s great, one of the best. It was the weekend and there were still places available. Good luck to everyone on the roads.

Not suitable for taking a relaxing break after a long journey, with the family or at night work. The reason... You have to constantly keep an eye on the clock because you are only allowed to park for an hour and after 5 minutes overtime you get a fine.

It used to be a friendly and competent rest stop. Since the renovation, it has been unfriendly and seems cheap. Customer is probably just a necessary evil!!

My husband and I love to go there to have our breakfast when we are on our way to Zurich and its surroundings. The atmosphere is very pleasant, there is a variety of foods that are also delicious.

A small roadside restaurant where we ate very well for a Swiss price of at least 20fr! Original decoration and pleasant setting to relax from the road. WC paying 1fr. Gas station type shop and Wenger shop (souvenirs, gifts)

We were here in September with two small children (3+1), it was great, the decoration theme "welcome to the jungle" was incredibly beautiful and our kids had a lot to admire and discover. The food was tasty but expensive and the staff was very friendly. Own area with indoor and outdoor playground for families, great! There are high chairs with wheels, also great. The adults can still drink coffee and the little ones can play and let off steam within sight. Perfect! Toilets clean with changing mat and stool to wash hands! We were very amazed at how much thought was given to the children and we all felt very comfortable!

An incredible place! There is gasoline and parking spaces. The route is well signposted. A restaurant is even present, allowing you to drink a delicious coffee typical of this type of place at a price also typical of this type of place. A feature worth seeing is that you can get there from one place and return from where you came. Yes, it’s definitely worth the detour! But ultimately disappointed because I never found the gray wood.

Clean and pratical stop but beware! Blue card parking zone and if you miss the sign, they charge you in a second. I left the car for 1 minute to go to the toilet and had a fine for Fr40! Obviously someone was closely watching me!! I find it ridiculous to ask a parking card on a Raststätte!! A place which should take care for the rest of a driver, just adds more stress to the long road. Totally unnecessary!
