Food is expensive and the waiting time is very long. The food and drinks are fine. Music would be quite pleasant. A vegan aperitif plate would be great. The fries should be enriched with a good mixture of spices. The contents of the drinks should be written on.

The Aarebar is wonderfully located on the Aareweg between the Marzili and the Eichholz. On nice days it's great to sit here, drink a beer, watch the "Schluuchböötler" on their last meters on the Aare and watch the many people walking back to Schönausteg or to Eichholz. The selection of drinks is great (Bernese beer) and there is also something to eat. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Tiptop, best advertising for Bern 🇨🇭👍

Perfect spot for a light lunch and cold beer. Menu diverse and something for all. Located Riverside gives splendid views. You do pay deposits of 2 franks on bottles and plates. Return them for the deposit back

If you don't know the oasis on the Aare yet, you've missed something. The friendly team in particular pamper guests with a good selection of drinks and food. Informal place with fantastic atmosphere and landscape

A great place with great people and a good atmosphere. The antipasti selection for the aperitif was excellent. I wouldn't order again, but would like to try something else.

Ideal for a short stopover before the next Aare swim. Enough shaded areas, standard prices, nice staff.

A very chilled pop-up bar right on the banks of the Aare. I really enjoy being there and like the informal atmosphere. I hope it opens again next year. Update 2023: I'm deducting a star because there is only overpriced vegetarian or vegan food and no carnivore alternatives.

Beautiful Summer Pop-Up Bar by the river.

For those coming down the river by boat, this spot is the perfect place for a nice beer with friends.

Location is fantastic! Price performance for the food is more than fair. Very tasty, large portions and prepared with a lot of love. The team is friendly all around and you are served quickly.

Totally nice place right next to the Aare and friendly staff, it's also great that there's at least one vegan panini, which was also quite good, but at 16 francs it's massively overpriced (8 francs was enough!) At least tap water is free👍

Very fine espresso 😁 Lukas supported me a lot in my work in transport and provided me with plenty of good coffee. A very friendly and courteous staff. I can only recommend it to put yourself in a good mood or to enjoy one of your drinks with friends 😁

It's usually quite full but when you find a spot it's very comfortable. Friendly and attentive staff

If you want to chill in a very nice location, this is the right place for you. Offer food ok. Drinks à la beach bar, from the barracks. Everything simple but ok.

Nice place to drink something. But waiting for something to eat takes soooo long. We waited over 1 hour to get a bowl of fries. Sorry buts that is just not ok.

Favourite spot for drinking beer

Nice drinks and located directly next to the river. It's a pleasure to enjoy your drink and watch the folks walk by to take a swim in the Aare. The prices are a ok-isch, but the waiting time is a bit annoying sometimes.

Nice location, good beer. The large “apero platter” was very disappointing for us. There were 3 slices of dried bread, a few small slices of dried meat, some run-of-the-mill dried sausage and a few narrow strips of hard cheese. Add 2 cornichons and 3-4 pearl onions. We are of the opinion that 21.- is excessive for this. Unfortunately, when we wanted to get some more ice cream, everything except 3 sorbets was sold out. Gladly again, but only for drinking...

Cozy atmosphere, friendly service and right on the Aare :) After a "Bädi" you can enjoy a refreshing homemade iced tea here. The Aarebar is particularly beautiful in the evening with lighting!
