Mega nice, warm and happy people. It started in the valley at the Äugstenbahn ticket office and continued all the way to the Äugstenhütte. We even had a great encounter and a good conversation on the train. You feel very welcome in the hut. Food good, hut very pretty, view fantastic. Thank you that something like this still exists. We'll be back soon!

Beautiful cabin that was completely renovated in June 2023. We stayed here for 1 night in the very neat and clean dormitory. In the evening we enjoyed a delicious 3-course meal from owner and chef Lukas. Various walks can be taken from the hut. Highly recommended!

Cozy, very friendly, good wine but also an Adler beer, small but very nice menu and Lukas as a hut warden, simply perfect! Thank you for the hosting and hospitality!

What immediately stands out are the obviously high-quality “cakes”, such as Schlorzifladen. Not “sweet” like the ones at one or two “tourist traps” in Eastern Switzerland taste, or rather don’t taste. We haven't eaten any other food yet. Definitely coming next year! The flora is really fantastic. Some criticism of the renovation plans should be reconsidered. Because the motives for modernization really don't sound unreasonable. It is very much to be hoped that the gem will be preserved and will not suffer the devaluation that usually accompanies the hustle and bustle caused by tourism. We met very nature-loving, open and friendly people. Recognition for the hut landlord and his extremely courteous team!

very kind host! was very much making a pleasant stay for us and that for a fair price (around 65CHF). beautiful landscape and mesmerising hiking with many different hiking-routes to choose from. also saw differnet kinds of wildlife including some deer from quite near (ca. 40m).

Super cool hut! Hut feeling guaranteed! Short journey thanks to the cable car. No electricity and other bells and whistles! Perfect for switching off for a while! Big praise to the hut team!

Very cozy little hut with a fantastic view of the striking Glarus mountains and a beautiful sunset. We felt very comfortable, ate very well (huge selection of cakes and freshly cooked food in the evening) and slept well! I can highly recommend the hut and would love to come back!

We stayed overnight here. It was a great experience. Hut keeper Dani was very friendly and helpful. Landscape all around is breathtaking.

Excellent welcome in this small authentic cabin. Dani is a great goalie! Very good half board 60CHF with local products of quality and quantity. Only one dormitory, the beds are spacious, and with duvets. Toilets outside.

.... recommended by dear friends, visited with dear friends - although only for a quick coffee, the location and view were great - the hosts were friendly, lovable and uncomplicated - gladly again👍
