Great idea, the best part of the brunch was the bread and the hummus. Café was ok, the juices could have been better. Personally, the desserts were way too sweet and not that tasty for me. Great for families!

Insider tip! We first went to the nearby Kastelen castle ruins with our two sons (2 and 4). A great little hike with small children with a fantastic avenue of trees, great views, barbecue areas, climbing rocks, playground, toilets and historic but well-kept castle ruins and a deep well. The climb is not too steep and took the boys about 20 minutes. Then right next door to the adventure farm with well-kept animal stables, a varied playground, delicious organic products and a restaurant with indoor and outdoor play options, a great ambience and delicious food. Absolutely recommended, especially with children!

Great experience farm with all activities in all areas in all places with all people and all animals on all days at all times. The cows were friendly, I drank an espresso with them.

Great yard, great shop. Homemade Amarettini cookies are simply heavenly. Animal stables can be visited, great farm bakery and restaurant. The Oberhammer was pure air-dried beef sausage. Absolutely recommended for families with children

In this restaurant it is exactly as many guests write! Once it's absolutely great and then, if you're unlucky, it's another big flop! What a pity!

Very little food at an extremely high price. The prices are totally exorbitant. It borders on cheeky. We also had to leave the restaurant after a certain time because the table was reserved again, even though there were other tables.

The food (apple crumble) was very good but also had a rather high price. The service could be a little more accommodating. My question is whether there are any dishes that are not on the menu, e.g. B. Apple tart was denied. A reference to the nut bars etc. that were offered in a corner would have been very friendly. The ambience was not very pleasant that day... As it was already quite cloudy outside, some brighter lighting would have been welcome

The restaurant is nicely decorated, but the kitchen exhaust system doesn't work properly. The weekly menu is expensive and meager for a rural area. The steak was also tough. We were pretty disappointed and will definitely not visit the restaurant a second time.

We are allowed to explore everything on this farm including the stables, milking parlor etc., a good place to show the children where our food comes from. The walking/hiking trails are particularly suitable for explaining natural farming. It is possible to watch the farm's own milk processing. A place that I can only recommend!

Wanted to order a voucher for employees. First person said: not possible. ...without an alternative. Then someone called me back and said that it was possible, even on account. She gives it up the next day so that it will be available on her birthday three days later. 4 days later no voucher. When I called, they said that it was only possible with advance payment or Twint anyway, then they said that the voucher had been mailed and was still on the way...but it didn't arrive, whereupon they said that the error was at the post office I have to take care of it. You wish you had the good old customer service again, when not everyone you had to call because something wasn't working said it wasn't my fault and had no idea or interest in how to satisfy the customer. Voucher never arrived....and therefore the post office's fault....too easy?

Unique idea. A visit is highly recommended.

We deliberately chose this restaurant for a family celebration as it seems to be a special place. We made the reservation including choosing a seat on site. We also announced the menu in advance. Unfortunately, we were initially assigned the wrong seat. However, this has been kindly corrected. Despite having ordered in advance, we had to wait a relatively long time (1 hour) for the main course to be served. Likewise for coffee! However, we were not charged for this. It's a shame - unfortunately we can't recommend Burgrain, even though it would be a charming place.

We were only there for a snack. The iced coffee, whether with or without kirsch, was very tasty. Everything is homemade and of organic quality, very exemplary. We were welcomed very friendly and served attentively. The attached farm shop is great for shopping. We'll definitely be back.

First time after Covid. I had the impression that there were more tables set up and you could also eat outside. Actually nice, but in my opinion the atmosphere suffers from it. Selection at the buffet, e.g. cheese was reduced, after 30 minutes there were refill problems and you had to wait longer for various types of bread, sausages, etc. We only had pretzel croissants at the beginning, but unfortunately not anymore. It's a shame, the exclusive has been lost.

Lots of table but on the weekend it’s better to reserve because many group/family come here. The service is excellent. All waitresses always smile, polite and friendly. For me the food is average. The sausage isn’t too good with onion sauce. Their rosti is too salty. If nice weather, enjoy your meal outdoor on the terrace. It’s great! They have different menu. I think it’s changing every week.

A nice family restaurant with a courtyard. You can / are allowed to go to the animals, watch them, pet them and learn something from it. Personally, I just find the prices horrendous, considering it's supposed to be so family-friendly. The portion may be ok for a small child, but based on the price you would think the portion would be twice as big... the water from the tap is also charged; Next time I'll order a soft drink because it costs about the same. I would like to visit the farm again and maybe stay for a coffee, but I can't really recommend the restaurant itself.

We visited the restaurant on Sunday August 6th, 2023. When we wanted to sit down at the comfortable, large tables with benches, the German service person came to us and said that these tables were only for large groups and that the four of us were only allowed to sit at the normal tables. All four large tables were empty at this point, the restaurant was otherwise hardly occupied and was still open for a little more than an hour. It was raining outside and we definitely wouldn't have expected many visitors. What was interesting was that after us, a group of two and a group of four each occupied one of these large tables, but we were refused this. You immediately feel like a second-class citizen. We have decided not to visit this restaurant again, even though we live in the next village.

A very nice farm with lots of things to look at. The own farm shop is great. Unfortunately a bit too expensive for me 😉. We would still like to come back, we felt comfortable.

Cool place for the whole family from small to large

Highly recommended for families with children. There is a lot to explore and everything is very lovingly done. But also a great experience for adults. You can hear interesting information via a tablet and headphones. In the restaurant you can get homemade dishes from our own farm.

Can't say anything about the food, I didn't eat there, nice people, it was my first time there, it's supposed to be a farm experience where you can pet animals and stuff, but I can't report anything about that (unfortunately)

Absolute madness! The entrance fee for the museum is absolutely reasonable in any case! Information is conveyed clearly and to the point. The lacation and how it is constructed, furnished and thoughtfully presented is incredibly great! If you're like me and are interested in old agricultural technology and everything that's connected to it, you'll definitely get your money's worth! Very big praise!

Nice place for families and children. Animals, playground - everything is wonderful. However, the restaurant's menu may be more child-friendly. Snacks for the Z Vieri for the little ones, or small milk (children's coffee) would be almost no effort and would be bought and appreciated....

Great company. Sustainability is very important here. Not just with words but with actions. By the way, I was here recently with my Götti-Maidli and she really liked the animals too.

Ideal for families with small (and older children) it has everything your heart desires: lots of space, young animals and others, children's tractors and a play area. Plus a beautiful, spacious farm shop - really highly recommended!

The Burgran Restaurant is in a rural location. Parking options on site. The restaurant is very nice and open. The service is very nice and a bit confusing, you sometimes have to order your coffee or egg a second time, but you make up for that with your friendliness. The breakfast is very tasty. Homemade bread and plaited bread, homemade butter and jam. You can get bread as often as you want, butter and confit will also be given later. (if you are that hungry) The price for the breakfast (small) is CHF 12.50 so very fair. thanks to the team..

A nice place and delicious food, but unfortunately the service is terribly bad, arrogant and gossips about the guests present. A pity. Addendum: Since you are unfortunately not allowed to leave any further reviews: new staff, very accommodating, super nice boss, we enjoyed a very nice stay. Today I would give 5 stars plus, it was really just the service. We'd love to come back!

What I liked the most was that everything was fresh and local (even just from that farm) 👏🏼 that makes the place special.

It would be an advantage if this company employed employees who had a little more understanding of children and a decent way of dealing with their customers. It's a real shame, the concept would be great and so would the food, but I'm definitely not going to let a waitress make a fool of me. Don't come back.

A very nice meal in the Burgrain-Stube. The restaurant is located in the estate's former horse stable and has been tastefully converted while preserving the original structure. It also has a beautiful wood-burning oven in which the bread served in the restaurant (and available in the shop opposite) is baked. Everything is freshly cooked and delicately seasoned; you can even see into the kitchen from the dining room. The ingredients are fresh, you can taste it. A lot of it probably comes from our own company, so the distances are naturally short, which has a positive effect on the freshness. I think the price for the dishes is absolutely reasonable and fair, especially when you consider that the ingredients are organic and from sustainable agriculture. The surroundings invite you to take a digestive walk. If you feel like it, you can also visit the Agricultural Museum (in the building next door). I will definitely visit this restaurant again, I also heard that the Sunday brunch there is very good, I definitely have to register and try it out. Attention: Dogs are only allowed on the terrace (for hygiene reasons, as the Burgrain-Stube has an open kitchen).

At this rest. Everything is just right!!! It's not just organic. But cooked imaginatively! There is a lot of commitment and love involved. Always come back

Nice restaurant for a relaxing midday break

Great concept! Gastro is great, the farm shop is more like a supermarket, and there is a lot to experience for young and old. My bratwurst for 8CHF was great value for money and was wonderfully prepared.

We were there at 4:05 p.m. and wanted to pick up our “prize” from the food trail. We were told that the kitchen closes at 4 p.m. With luck (😜) we still got our price. At 5:00 p.m. we were asked to pay, even though the restaurant is open until 6:00 p.m. The pedal cars and tractors have already been put away 🤨 Unfortunately, the slide was dismantled without replacement. But maybe something will come at some point... In addition, 3dl of tap water (which, by the way, was lukewarm and not even cold) is charged 3.-. Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our visit and would not recommend it. Maybe it's better if you get there earlier and not 2 hours before they close.

Everything was really great - except for the toilets, which could have received a little more attention on such a busy Sunday.

A really great place for a family trip! The restaurant is very, very fine and the service is friendly! We have an allergy sufferer among us and we were well served and our wishes were taken into account. The kitchen and the staff asked if everything was OK and that's more than a given! Thank you very much! As a little tip: you may note the contents on the menu card with letters, e.g. that could save time. The farm shop also has a wide range of products and we bought a lot :-) I would also recommend 1.2 vegan offers, for example. An oat product... It would be very inviting if there was something else to try, syrup, cider, bread möckli... It's just great for the kids! The animals, the playground! Everything is very clean and the staff is sooo nice!! We will be back!

A totally interesting place! Was quite surprised how enterprising it is. Found it really cool.

We enjoy being at the Burgrainhof often. Yesterday our experience was not surprising. We waited 1 hour for the children's menus. Another 30 minutes for the main courses. The soup of the day and the salad of the day came with the menu. Unfortunately, our children didn't want to wade anymore and preferred to go out... Why did other guests who ordered later get their food before us? The house was half full. Nonetheless, we'll come back, but we'd rather shop at the store.

The museum was great. My grandfather was a small farmer, so I remember that time well; it was back-breaking work back then. I can recommend this museum with all the trimmings.

On the occasion of the Rotary Classic 2021, we enjoyed a wonderful, tender roast pork (which is probably also used to make pulled pork), with young potatoes and an exciting sauce with mustard (?), dill and other ingredients. Agrovision in Burgrain is definitely worth a visit

Waited an hour for our food. I pointed out twice that we might have been forgotten. There is no apology or indication when the food will come... we were just ignored. We have two small children who were hungry and tired. We then left after an hour without eating. There is also no children's cutlery.

Such a beautiful ambience conjured up from a horse stable. Really nice and cozy here. Friendly and nice service. A great place to experience for families and children. In the adjacent building there is a shop with organic products from our own production.

Excellent, delicious, friendly run restaurant! Super integrated into the organic farm Burgrain. Ingredients are used that come from our own farm and from the region! You should plan more time, especially with kids, just going out for a quick meal won't work :)
