Aiola in Stansstad

I wanted to reserve a table for our anniversary and wrote an email for a reservation with a special request and I received the answer 6 days later. It wasn't worth a visit for me.

My Italian opinion: - Pasta: very tasty, nice sauces. Try the linguine. - Pizza...go elsewhere :)

Dinner for four. +) Cozy and luxurious atmosphere, friendly, courteous and competent service, good wine selection, in my opinion more Swiss people should be represented. The food was prepared with love in very beautiful dishes. The taste was very careful, but pleasantly racy. -) The coral garnish was bland and limp, but looked good and complemented the dish perfectly. >) All in all, it was a very nice evening and we felt very comfortable and safe with our host. I can't say anything about the hotel. There were three of us in the restaurant. Service very attentive. The food was not only very tasty, but also beautifully prepared. Ambiance very pleasant We tried a wine from Kosovo on the recommendation of the service and were very positively surprised. Price/performance absolutely justified. TOP! We will be back.

Dream view, of course enjoyed in the most beautiful weather in a relaxed atmosphere. Good food, friendly and reliable service, despite the restaurant being full. Definitely worth a visit.

Very nice view and ambience, good competent waiter. Elaborately beautifully decorated, fine food. Small portions for the price. Sunday evening there was live music. Well, you have to pay too. Wasn't absolutely necessary. Parking lots available.

We spontaneously ate there. The service was the highlight, very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the Saltimbocca was an imposition. Knocked to death and cooked as hard as a board. Pity about meat and money. The rest was OK

We've been to Aiola in Stansstad several times and each time we've been thrilled by the great service and the very good food they have there! Highly Recommended! Again any time!

Always a culinary highlight! In the Aiola restaurant you can expect not only delicious food, but also service that impresses with its friendliness and attentiveness. The unique atmosphere of the ambience helps to make every visit a special experience. In summer, the terrace is a real treat, and for boaters, the private harbor with moorings offers a convenient way to reach the restaurant. Definitely highly recommended!

The only good thing about the evening was the service. As a starter I ordered the tartare, it was mixed with a red sauce, raw onion rings, the sauce-like starter had NOTHING in common with a good tartare. It's incredibly loud in the restaurant and you sit like chickens on a perch. Overall a big disappointment, the service was very attentive and friendly.

Unfortunately every time is worse than before. The lettuce was unwashed and full of soil. My wife specifically requested arugula for her main course but the waiter told us that the "gourmet chef" had chosen liquid parsley and charged us for his decision. I didn't have high expectations for my main course because it was the lunchtime special. Taste was OK but the portion was ridiculously small with the meat a maximum of 70g. Service wasn't good, I think there was poor communication with the kitchen and with the guests.. Unfriendly

Our wedding celebration was a huge success thanks to the great service and delicious food. The ambience and the great view made for an unforgettable wedding. Thank you!

Food cold, waiting time of over an hour and over half an hour before you could place the order.

Waiting time for food over 75 minutes. Food was cold and had to be returned. Then again long waiting times.

Wonderful unexpected evening. Highly recommend, the staff could not have given better service. Food was incredible, magnificent wines. The view and surrounding quite special. Romantic evening with a floating cocktail bar for after dinner drinks on the lake.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't warm, the wait was long and the tiramisu had turned sour.

Table reserved a week in advance for a birthday, unfortunately table wasn't ready, top location but waited two hours for the food without a starter "luckily" guests who came later had the food before us, we then asked, answer (shrugging ) the food was good, but no one asked, at least an espresso was taken over (only one was ordered, my guests just wanted to leave) it's a shame for such a great location in such a beautiful location, if you can afford it!! I'm just a normal citizen, what a shame.

Unfortunately a disappointing evening. Location is nice and the restaurant is nice except for the tight seating. The pizza was good without any complaints. But... the service on a Saturday evening was severely overwhelmed and painfully friendly. Starters ok (Gamberoni al Aglio, summer salad). Main course 1x dry aged burger simply bad. The burger buns were cold and not toasted or roasted. The burger meat - pattie full of gristle. That for 39Chf. - an impudence!!! The rib eye steak - once and never again. Tasteless, not juicy but very fatty (I cut about 1/3 away - clearly it's not a fillet). The vegetables were even worse. This borders on food waste. Simply pulled through hot water. No salt, spices or anything similar. A shame for a Mediterranean restaurant. The croquettes and dips, on the other hand, were very good. Lastly, it should be mentioned that we waited 1 1/2 hours for the main course.

Table ordered by phone for Sunday 20th August, but the gentleman with the pink shirt welcomed us very rudely and he didn't have a table for us… we should go upstairs or at the bar outside! Sit…!!!! Did we say no... his answer was "I won't argue with you" Then he pulled a small table... from a 6 seater table We can sit there... Until 2 p.m. He gave us a limit. which was also very tight for us! … Drinks and starter were good.. but the fish.. zander with risotto and vegetables WAS VERY BAD: Vegetables overcooked Risotto terrible, fish tasted nothing! I wonder if the tenants don't read this review! The owners have to read all of this at the latest... No reason to come back!!!!!!!!

What a beautiful and fine place to hang and eat, we went 5 people for a lunch at 4pm and they were setting up everything, service is great, really good attention, a 5 star place indeed. Food was amazing!

Aiola is a very good address to be pampered in terms of cuisine and location.

We had a good diner at this restaurant with a very nice view on the lake. Service is dependable on who you have serving you. There is 1 guy who does not belong there.

Unfortunately, the view is the only good thing about this place. We were there very early in the evening and around 3 tables that arrived after us were able to order first. The waiting time for the starter and the main course was far too long at over 30 minutes each. After we finished eating, the service staff walked past our empty plates at least three times. When we immediately ordered the bill we were asked “oh so quickly?”. Sorry 2 1/2 hours for starter & main course is not quick…..

It's always a pleasure to be pampered by the Aiola team. The cuisine and the view of picturesque Lake Lucerne are simply sensational.

Went to eat 3 times and every time there was something wrong with the food or the service. Last time we waited nearly 1 hour and half for a pizza. The view and atmosphere is nice but I would never go back to Aiola to eat.

Very nice place, excellent meal but excessively expensive parking CHF 22.50 for just over 2 hours. Very bad surprise at the end of the meal… too bad.

We waited a total of 1.5 hours for the main course to arrive - sorry, that's too long! Unfortunately, the risotto was very tasteless and the beef fillet strips were completely overcooked. And that for 39 francs. The serving staff was polite. My plate of beef chop was also good, although overpriced. Very small meat for 54 francs. It was okay for once, but we won't be coming back.

We had a dinner there - I know that places with a nice views are having a higher prices but the views from outside is just a normal as many other restaurants with much cheaper menus.

Restaurant: the food was ok - no more! The risotto was bland and the rice was not risotto rice. The pizzas could be tastier. The dough is also rather bland there. The price is too high in relation to the quality. The biggest plus point is the location.

Very pleasant service and delicious food. Price performance is okay. The location by the lake is very nice, but there are often a lot of mosquitoes in the evening, so it is advisable to use mosquito spray. It can also be humid on warm days in Harrissen Bay, so light clothing is recommended in summer.

The location alone is worth 5 stars. Food was good, drinks were great too. I have heard several times that the service is not good, but we had good service. The view is super beautiful

Restaurant is in a great location! Highly recommended, the food was excellent as well as the service! There are delicious cocktails and pizzas outside on the small half island!

Went there as a larger group and received a really nice welcome. Suppppppper nice service. No matter what questions were asked about the food, you knew what was going on. Great location right on the lake (bay) in the evening we went to the bar which is located below directly on the bay. Also super nice and just great! I can recommend it to everyone!

Very bad service. Extremely unfriendly. The gentleman with the hat in particular was very bad and commanded his employees with harsh words.

From a distance it looked very inviting. Actually it was, but the service wasn't very friendly...

The best meat I've ever eaten from the dry-aged cabinet. I think the somewhat high price is justified. Everything, including the monkfish, was top. Risotto and vegetables with a bite, that's how it should be.

Today we were able to enjoy a very rich, extremely tasty dinner with a fantastic view over Lake Lucerne. The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating, even the dog was not only tolerated in the restaurant, but even welcomed. We can only warmly recommend Aiola al Porto!

Even though I had a reservation, they forced me to sit under the stairs and it was like I'd be better off eating at home. Terrible place, don't go there.

It doesn't work at all, a table outside was reserved twice on the phone and suddenly when I arrived the dear boss said we should eat inside in the corner. Be very difficult to get the space outside. Not like that...

Catastrophe!!! 50 minutes waiting time until the starter came! Service was disrespectful, inattentive and unfriendly! We expressed our displeasure and were then advised to leave! It's a shame, because the restaurant is right on the lake and otherwise seems inviting. But we have never experienced such absolute impudence!

The food was very tasty and the view was very nice. The location directly on Lake Lucerne is very impressive. The service is very attentive and extremely friendly. We would like to come again.

Tonight we had dinner at Aiola al porto, we were there without a reservation and got a seat in the restaurant. The tables directly on the glass wall overlooking the lake were all reserved, but we had a nice seat with a nice view, albeit slightly more inside the restaurant. We had a delicious meal, it was more expensive than we are normally used to spending, but the quality certainly made it worth it.

Distinct lack of vegan items on the menu (4 mains and 2 - albeit delicious - desserts).

Highly recommended, varied menu. Excellent fish, meat, pizza, pasta and everything your heart desires.

Hidden italian place for late evening guilty pleasure meal

I was invited to a wedding dinner on May 5, 2023. My expectations were exceeded! The staff was great! I would like to say a lot of praise for Vedran, he served us so well and we really liked his cheerful manner. He fulfilled our every wish and gave us an unforgettable evening!!! The food was just wow!

We just ate and it was I wonderful Italian pizza.

Food as always very tasty!! Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed this weekend because I wasn't asked, as I'm used to, what level of cooking I wanted the meat to be. Therefore the meat arrived on the plate very bloody and was not edible for me. Luckily I had a meat tiger for company and he was able to eat this! If I had been alone...it would be a shame for the animal where it had to die!!

We were given a very friendly welcome, even though everything was already set for New Year's Eve, we were given the opportunity to dine at the Tavolata. Food was very good. Very good restaurant with a lake view. Pizza is a disaster. Ambiance and service is ok.

Food was so-so (homemade sauces were ready, sauces etc.), atmosphere was difficult. If you come in hiking clothes you will be looked at disparagingly by the other guests. The staff was very friendly.

Aiola al porto a restaurant with a taste experience! A great menu, wine list with a diverse selection. Very good meat, a breathtakingly beautiful ambience (with a great view) and good value for money. In addition, a very friendly and attentive service. A must have! :-)

We were there for our wedding anniversary and I really loved the food and also the surrounding. Price is affordable and nice staff with fast service.

I’m not really used to leave comments but I have to say, probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. The staff was lovely, the food amazing and the vibes and view was awesome even if it was a raining day.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the location right on the lake is super nice. The bruschetta is delicious and you get a large portion, so it's great for two people. The Nidwaldner veal steak has a delicious and well-seasoned crust, the noodles were delicious, unfortunately a bit too salty due to the vegetables. But overall a great meal and a great restaurant Highly recommended.

We had spaghetti and dry aged burger. The spaghetti was average but the burger was burnt and didn't taste good. I don't recommend it at all
