This is truly the best Palestinian cuisine has to offer! The falafel here is simply unbeatable. I'm happy to take an extra 30 minute drive just to eat here. An absolute must!

Absolute disappointment - the ambience was just bad. We got a table in the last corner where there was hardly any space. It was very crowded and everyone was almost sitting on top of each other. Far from comfort...!!!

Food is good but the price of the tea, when I saw the amount on the bill, I was struck by lightning from Zeus and Thor together. The price has to come down, that's outrageous. Don't order tea!!!

The food was excellent and freshly prepared. We had the meat platter for 2 people. In my opinion it wasn't enough meat for the price. 2 times chicken 2 times beef 2 patties 4 falafels 2 Haloumi Plenty of vegetables, sauces, hummus. It has plenty of flatbread as a side dish. The tea is recommended.

As already mentioned, the place is not cheap. But the dishes are very tasty and there is a lot of manual work involved. The staff is friendly and courteous. The plates are lovingly prepared, the best falafel in the city and great dips. If the weather is right, sitting outside is very comfortable. A homemade peppermint tea rounds off the meal. -gladly again

Unfortunately the price/performance isn't right for me at all. The “best falafel in Switzerland” tasted like nothing. The haloumi and sauces weren't convincing either, everything was sour and the flatbread was hard. Unfortunately, the 75 francs (for a rather sparse vegetarian platter for two people plus two drinks) was absolutely not worth it.

Not the same anymore. Unfortunately the owner seems to have changed. Falafel and sauces no longer taste like they used to - not bad but just not as fine and special as they once were. Prices, however, have exploded. If I remember correctly, the falafel plate once cost a little more than 20 francs and now suddenly it costs 32. That's a steep price increase and really not appropriate. At these prices it should really be possible to pay by card or at least Twint. It's a shame, it was such a cool shop. Was there often but probably won't go anymore.

Unfortunately only cash payment possible. Who has CHF 100 in cash with them these days? So 10 minutes to the ATM and back. This additional effort means that there is no tip and no second visit to this restaurant. The difference between the vegetarian version and the meat version for the same basic menu is only CHF 1 per person.

Great food and very friendly service. Ambiance very nicely designed. You can enjoy your food very nicely in the old town of Aarau. When I feel like shawarma I go to Al Ahram.

Excellent falafal and hummus. Expensive. A pot of mint tea costs 16 CHFs? For hot water and some mint leaves? They only accept cash. The prices on their website are not updated.. the actual prices are now much higher. All in all expect to pay 40-45 CHFs per person including drinks. Too expensive for more than the very occasional visit. Very small restaurant.

Food was ok/good although I imagined Shawarma to be something different. Portion was small. However, the price was outrageously expensive for the portion size and location. I think 35 chf for a small plate with a maximum of 200g of meat in a packed snack bar is excessive, even for Switzerland! Maybe the prices are a little better for take away but I was disappointed with the experience!

The food was good overall, the bread could be improved, it was very chewy & hard. I think it is crazy they charge a pot of tea, 16 CHF, the mount & quality of mint in the tea could be only 5 CHF worth at best. They also charged tax about 7 CHF, which I have never seen in Switzerland.

Food (falafel plate) was ok, but neither my companion nor I was blown away by it. They are not much fluffier, airier, more aromatic or less dry than any other decent shop that makes the falafel in-house and doesn't use convenience. The price, which far exceeds the competition, is simply not justified: 32 CHF for 5 falafels. Staff very friendly, interior very snack-like. So overpriced!

At times, longer waiting times can be expected at some restaurants 🤷🏽‍♂️ Reservations in the evening are a must!!!

Side dishes: eggplant, sesame, hummus, tzatziki, onion/tomato salad with green lettuce leaves. Sufficient flatbread. Extremely customer-friendly: tap water was not charged. I would love to come again.

Typical Palestinian kitchen. Excellent as always. Reserve in advance since the space is limited.

We ordered 4 falafels in flatbread to take away for our lunch break and paid straight away: 11CHF per falafel. After 40 minutes we are still waiting...then finally they are ready, we take them with us to eat them in the sun, we are very disappointed when they turn out to be chicken. Since 2 of us are vegetarians we have to go back and exchange them. Now it finally worked, half of the lunch break is now over and finally something for the stomach. Unfortunately very little and no lettuce at all, white cabbage or similar fresh vegetables, just a little (very little) greens chopped into a sauce... and the whole thing was pretty unsalted... a shame, it had me thinking of "the best falafel in Switzerland" as it says on the notice board, happy.

The food here is perfect, you can find something for every taste. I couldn't find anything negative to comment about the taste, the texture, everything goes really well. The place is a bit small and the drinks choices are limited, but it is worth it. The people working there are super friendly and helpful. Small restaurant very poorly ventilated and with a strong smell of frying oil. Bread and dessert are not homemade (come in a plastic packaging) Beer (Beirut) for 10 CHF, only cash is accepted... as a take-away snack it would be an option but as a restaurant never again...

Ate for the second time in three weeks and could go back again. The falafel is very tasty and the side dishes are even better. Hummus, baba ganoush, tzatziki and salad go perfectly with it.

A thoroughly good shop. The food seems authentic and is extremely fresh. The falafel is the best in the city, if not (as advertised) even in the whole of Switzerland. Every time the visit is a wonderful experience with excellent oriental food and very friendly service. I can recommend it to everyone. The only point of criticism is that card payment is not possible. Otherwise really perfect.

OH MY GOD Well, I have to honestly say I haven't eaten something so delicious in a restaurant for a long time! Had the falafel plate, supper, salad and the falafel was very well seasoned, not too dry, not too moist, just awesome! The portion was quite large for the price!! absolute hammer! My companion is a complicated eater and she was also completely thrilled with the chicken plate! very nice service :) will definitely come back!!

Kleines (wenige Sitzplätze) aber sehr feines Restaurant mit leckerer (soweit durch mich bewertbar) authentischer Küche und vegi / vegan freundlichen Optionen. Im Sommer immer wieder toll für Take Away, das wir an der Aare geniessen.

Es wird mit den besten Falafel in der ganzen Schweiz geworben, sind wirklich extremst lecker und weiterzu empfehlen. Auch die anderen Speisen wie beispielsweise Schwarma oder öhnliches sind nur weiter zu empfeheln. perfekter Ort für vegis und non Vegis. Der Minzentee ist ein muss wenn man dieses Resaurant besucht.
