Albergo Ristorante Stazione Cavaglia in Poschiavo

We didn't stay here. On a circular hike we ate great, delicious ice cream from a regional manufacturer here.

We only used the bar and had a dessert, which was very good. Clean and tidy environment, a few meters from the train stop and a short distance from the Cavaglia Glacier Garden (with the "giants' pots") and the Cavaglia ravine. They have restaurant and rooms to stay. But if you are in a hurry, on a daily trip with the Bernina regional red train, it is still worth stopping, paying a visit and taking the next train... Advised.

We stayed here at the end of a hiking tour on the Bernina Trek. The food was great and the hosts were very accommodating. We felt very comfortable here in the hostel. We are very happy to recommend it.

If you would like to spend some time in the mountains away from the cities and the crowd, Cavaglia is the best place to go. After a wonderful trainride you find this very lovely accomodation at the train station, Albergo Ristorante Stazione Cavaglia. The food is authentic and excellent. The beds are extra comfy. The hosts are amazing people. What do you need more? :)

We ate today in the beautiful garden, menu del giorno, brasato e polenta! A poem😋😋👍! On recommendation, we also tried the braised beef cheeks, to enjoy, an insider tip for people who appreciate lovingly prepared food. At the boss's recommendation, we drank a bottle of red wine from Valtellina, which was also a good tip! For dessert we enjoyed homemade cakes! Thanks for the friendly service and the excellent food! We will be back! We were able to visit the newly renovated bistro and the ballroom! An absolutely successful renovation with a lot of expertise, passion and a good combination of old and new👍👍! Greatly renovated, nostalgic mountain inn. The pizzoccheri with lots of fresh vegetables and salad straight from the vegetable garden were simply delicious. We always enjoy coming back - a 'must' when visiting Cavaglia!

Even though my vacation here in Cavaglia is not over yet, I would like to thank you for the service. The service is very nice and attentive. The rooms (freshly renovated) make a great impression and you can sleep very well and peacefully. The great bathrooms and washrooms also speak for an overnight stay in the Stazione Cavaglia. The food is very tasty and varied. Definitely recommended!

8 Swiss francs for 2 coffees and they don't accept card. The excuse? Even in Italy you don't accept it under 60 euros. Nice environment with a beautiful phalaenopsis

Amazing! Very recently refurbished, beautiful building and food and drinks were great. Owner chatted with us and was very friendly.

We wanted to have a quick meal with the family and then heard the staff in the kitchen getting loudly upset that we had all ordered different dishes. Absolute no-go! I can understand that it takes more effort to prepare individual, different dishes, but being passive aggressively upset about it is not a solution. The food was... well... edible, but not exactly commendable. Reply to the owner: We were with you months before writing about the recession. While cleaning out my photo album, I came across the attached pictures, which reminded me of the rather negative experience you had.

This cozy restaurant is an absolute insider tip, with local specialties. You feel welcome here! Now the owners are setting up a hotel - I will definitely be a guest here sometime. I wish you continued success and happy and nice guests

Unfortunately, this was very disappointing. The zucchini soup was a packet soup and lukewarm. The gnocchi with tomato sauce tasted like it was in the school kitchen. The service was slow, inattentive. It gave the impression that they were very inexperienced. No recommendation.

The best food in Val Poschiavo! The “capunet” are especially delicious. Also the deserts are mouth watering and the staff are incredibly friendly. We had a lovely time sitting in the garden, enjoying the spectacular view. Five stars!

Incredible! Highly recommend stepping off the train or after a hike, food is incredible, beers are great!

Fabulous place, a typically Alpine landscape. We drank excellent local beer from Poschiavo, really good. The cuisine and service are unfortunately a bit lacking. Gnocchi a little greasy, the spaghetti is not the good ones from Val Poschiavo (a shame!), the bread is served on greasy handkerchiefs which makes me think that they have been used by other customers. I recommend it as a place to enjoy a beer, but not to eat.
