Alp Zwüschet-Mythen in Schwyz

Scenic but not particularly customer friendly... Cash only, no hot chocolate, and pretty rude instruction signs

It's a nice, short route from Holzegg with children. When you see the Alp, you are happy. When we got there, we wanted to sit in the dining room because the children were cold. The landlord didn't want it! No blankets on offer outside, oh well. Service was friendly, but the food was so carelessly presented, it felt like "here, take it and eat it": bacon with bread and cheese with bread were ordered, both on cut-up plastic rolls, the big bacon just placed on top, as well as the cheese to cut yourself, no Gürkli or Tomätli. A pity. At least the cheese was fine. We can't recommend it and we definitely won't be coming back.

One one THE worst places you can go! The worst and most rude people I met in Switzerland. The older lady (owner I assume) got so mad that I pet the dog and she shooed my away like I was some kind of garbage. No card accepted even though there is full 5g connection. If you don’t pay you don’t use the bathroom. Unless it is an emergency, avoid that place like the plague.

Terrible service, the staff is super rude and unfriendly. First they became mad when I asked if I could throw away a bottle. When my friend asked if she could use the toilet they said “Only if you pay! And your friend also!” While she went to the toilet (after paying), I was petting the dog. After 2 minutes they screamed I should not pet the dog, so then I went to the toilet to wait for my friend. Then the staff followed me and started yelling that I should pay for the toilet (I wasn’t even using it, I was just waiting outside). It’s unbelievable how unwelcome these people make you feel. They only want your money!

We were served very unfriendly. Unfortunately typical for alpine farms. They want the money, but the guests don't.

Nice staff, fine drinks, modest selection. Despite the 21st century and the pandemic, only cash is accepted here, which really surprised me.

Nice alpine restaurant below the Mythen, small but good offering, highly recommended are the Alpkäse and the gingerbread and a delicious coffee in the "cheeli"

Rustic mountain restaurant (1356 m above sea level), as the name suggests, located exactly between the two Mythen mountains. The shortest route to the hut is from Brunni in around 30-40 minutes. Equally easy to reach from Haggenegg. Hiking trails intersect both in the direction of Großer Mythen and Kleiner Mythen. Not far from the hut (about 15 minutes) is a wonderful viewpoint also called Zwüschet-Mythen. From there you have a fantastic view towards Lake Lucerne and Lake Lauerzer. The small inn is rustically furnished and very cozy. Outside there is a beautiful sun terrace, which in late summer is quickly in the shade from midday onwards due to the shadow of the imposing Great Mythen. The menu is small but nice. Cheese and smoked sausage taste great with crusty fresh bread. The Einsiedler beer, which is common in this region, is also highly recommended. You can also buy cheese and sausage directly and take it home with you. The toilets are small but sparkling clean. Access by car is not possible. Overall, the hut is highly recommended for a rest after a strenuous hike.

A nice place to invigorate before continuing hiking to kleiner/gross Mythen. Although, the food and drinks selection is quite limited. The place is mostly in shadow, especially in fall, making this place a bit cold.

Beautiful, well-run alpine farm in the impressive landscape of the two myths. Always worth a detour. The Alpine cheese is highly recommended.

Quaint. The milkshake is not recommended, otherwise cozy. Be sure to enjoy the Zwüschet-Mythen view (15min)!

Nestled in an impressive rocky landscape, beautiful view. Sell ​​Alpine cheese from our own production. Unfortunately, coffee tasted like water, so it's better to order a cold drink. Why the extra charge for cream for gingerbread is CHF 4 will probably remain a mystery... Service could be friendlier.

A pity!! Some of the prices are way too expensive. e.g. Gingerbread without cream Fr. 5.00 WITH CREAM Fr. 9.00!! Very simple tap water Fr. 5.00!! Same as mineral water. Otherwise very nicely located hut with a great view.

very high prices a normal gingerbread costs 5 chf. with whipped cream 9chf! but wonderfully beautiful view

We were hiking without cash (only payment cards). Our small kid really wanted to use WC and we kindly asked to use it. The young lady working there said that either we pay 1CHF or there is no way our child can use it. Although I had assured that don't have any cash with us. She smiled back and said "no payment, no toilet". If you want to see humanity and hospitality - go another place except this one

The alpine restaurant is open daily from early morning to evening from the beginning of June to the beginning of September.

Cozy and clean, cold dishes are offered. Toilets are available!
