We had a drink on the great terrace with a wonderful view. The service was very friendly and attentive. A very nice place to "be". Next time we will also try the dishes. A visit to the wonderful hiking area is also recommended.

We went with our riding students from the Teufelsbrücke riding school in Egg SZ for the Easter day ride on the Gueteregg and are thrilled by the hospitality and the atmosphere of the place, as well as the wonderful views.... we will always be happy to come back!;)

Traditional family business in the fourth generation. I read about it on the internet and found it appealing, so I chose this destination. You can find out more about the history of the alp and the family in the menu. Hearty and well-considered selection of dishes for mountain lovers. Authentic hospitality that has grown over decades. Lots of local guests. On the one hand it is a typical local insider tip, on the other hand you would like to hype up this great place. I'll definitely come back again.

I always enjoy coming here. Very sunny terrace with a wonderful view of the Wägital Alps. Hearty food and very nice service. The barley soup and the meringues with cream are highly recommended.

Everything fits great, always beautiful

Great alpine farm with 360 degree views towards Rapperswil and central Switzerland. The service is extremely well organized, even when there is a huge rush like last Sunday. The menu has everything you would expect from an alpine restaurant: barley soup, cold platters with sausage and/or cheese and also fondue. We really enjoyed coming here.

Wait, wait, wait. The Guteregg Plättli wasn't anything sliced. It had a piece of cooked bacon, cheese, a piece of smoked sausage and half a tomato on it. Not recommendable. All in all we waited about 2 hours.

Hike via Stöcklichrüz to Gueteregg. Great all-round view. Friendly and quick service. Still drinking in the temporary accommodation. We are looking forward to the new building.

Fantastic view, very friendly staff, worth a trip

We were on a hike from Sattelegg Pass to the Stöcklichrüz panoramic mountain. Around midday we took a break at the Gueteregg mountain inn (1270 m above sea level). The menu offered many delicious things like those you would find in Swiss mountain inns. Of course also great mountain cheese and sausage. When the hiking weather is nice, the inn quickly becomes very busy and space quickly runs out, especially on the beautiful terrace. Despite the stress that the hosts were exposed to that day, everything went off quickly and in a very friendly manner. There was even a cooling cover for my beer bottle so that it didn't heat up too quickly in the heat. Great thing. There are also bicycle racks at the inn for the many cyclists who like to come by. The terrace offers a great view of the Swiss Central Alps. There is also a small mountain chapel very close to the inn. We'd love to come back!
