A fantastic Sunday Brunch and a pretty decent value for everything you get! Super lovely ambiance and there was no wait to be seated around 12:15 when I went!

We stopped at Al Tulipano Bianco for dinner whilst we were staying in Locarno. As the weather was pleasant, we opted to sit outside on their terrace, but there are various different places you can sit, including a restaurant and then more of a relaxed café area. We started off with an Antipasti board to share, which was delicious, and was filled with an amazing selection of meats and cheeses. For main course we enjoyed a sumptuous grilled veal with vegetables. For the quality and location, we found that the prices were reasonable. The service was very friendly, and we felt very well looked after.

Not the cheapest but the food is worth it. Probably the best carbonara I've ever had.

We spontaneously dined there on a Sunday two weeks ago. We were completely satisfied. Very large portions. 1 x Vitello tonnato + 1 x Ossobuco with risotto. Delicious! 1 x pasta con cozze, huge portion, could have easily eaten 2 of them. Luckily I didn't order an appetizer. This dish is also very tasty. I'm glad I didn't read the reviews before ordering, otherwise I would have also ordered an appetizer, which wouldn't have been necessary. This restaurant is highly recommended! Gladly again.

As a regular visitor to Locarno, I was happy to find a restaurant that promised to offer more than the other places around the Piazza Grande. Unfortunately, aside of the presentation, the food served left much to desire. For antipasti, I had the Spuma di pappa al pomodoro Prunill - it tasted okay but really nothing to write home about. Later, I have tried the Risotto with red prawn - a downright disappointment. This dish gave me the feeling that the cook, realizing that his creation tastes like nothing, poured salt in abuse hoping for a miracle. It failed! Too bad for the prawn carpaccio which was rather fresh and tasty. The drinks, service and presentation were excellent. I will give Altulipanobianco another try soon, hoping for a better experience. After all, everyone deserves a second chance.
