American Bar & Restaurant Stars and Stripes in St. Gallen

For 42.50fr I find the quality of the brunch a little very weak…

We were there for a family brunch event. Very friendly staff. Plenty of good food. Price performance ratio for the brunch event is okay.

The food at Stars and Stripes was passable, the atmosphere was casual and the service was very accommodating.

Great atmosphere. Friendly and cheerful staff. Food class. All in all a successful time. Been there again and I can still only say positive things. The service, Dimi, also provided super cheerful service. Simply great

Very good burger with sweet potatoes on the side. Simply great. With a drink to go with it, you've already reached a mid-double-digit amount. Fewer and fewer can afford this, which is a shame for the catering industry.

I always enjoy coming to you, I love your burgers. But yesterday around 10:30 p.m. a lady was working whose name I don't know. I think I had blonde brown hair. She was TERRIBLE! I come in with my colleague and almost all the seats are free then she directs us to 2 places where we can sit but no other table "since we only ordered shakes and softice". The lady was very passive aggressive and simply didn't want to be with us anymore. She was so grumpy and in a bad mood that I actually wanted to order a burger after the softice, but I didn't because I was worried that she would completely freak out. Nevertheless, I gave her a tip of 4 francs, which I would have preferred to give to your shop instead of the lady. Thanks to this lady you have lost a regular customer because I only come to you for burgers and I always leave good tips for the service staff. But that's it, I'll never come to you again as long as this lady works for you and I've already recommended it to my friends. If it were up to me, what this woman did borders on harassment and I would almost take legal action because I have no sympathy for people who don't like doing their job.

If the meat is bloody, it should actually be bloody and not burnt or almost burnt. 2. The fries were full of oil and over-fried, perhaps the oil was already old. We reported it and were brought new fries that unfortunately tasted exactly the same. 3. The price/performance ratio wasn't right because the side dishes were paid extra and we couldn't talk about a portion. If further explanations are needed, please feel free to get in touch. A table for friends without a reservation. It took a little convincing, but it was worth it. It wasn't as fully booked as we were given the impression. The food was delicious, as were the mojitos.

Great service and very good food. Had the Swiss Burger and you could definitely taste the Appenzeller cheese! The garlic sauce with the chicken wings is simply wonderful. We will definitely come back!

The fries are amazing! Together with the Texas burger, it's a really unbeatable meal. I can only recommend. :)

Service very friendly, great. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the fillet in the hot stone. It tasted slightly rotten. Chicken wings and the rest were extremely tasty. Who will come back but never eat a fillet again.

Food was good (though the burger was done instead of medium), service very nice, pleasent atmosphere. Would come again.

All in all, it's definitely worth a visit. The staff is always friendly and very quick to serve. As a rather picky person when it comes to choosing food, I can always find something. The food is always good, the portions are appropriate, and you'll feel full even without a starter. However, the desserts are always worth the “overeating”. Price okay for the offer. Also suitable for a few drinks in the evening, good selection of cocktails. The ambience is a bit dark in the upper interior area, but overall very nice in American style.

The food was very nice and the staff was very friendly. Although there were some little mistakes but it got resolved soon. The burgers and the plates are very good.

The large cheeseburger wasn't actually bad, but somehow not as tasty as I had hoped. Maybe it was because I ordered it medium, which I don't usually do. The service was efficient and correct, but probably didn't think my joke about wanting a 0.5 beer was that funny after all. She was offered 0.25 or 0.4 Schüga bearings. For burgers with fries, half portion of nachos and a large CHF 45.25. The terrace was almost empty on a rather cool summer evening, but I found the atmosphere pleasant.

A good concept from A to Z. One pound burger was delicious. Meat should be a little “loose”. Dessert Sundae was worth the money, although it could have been visually improved a bit. Service was top. Price performance overall good.

Stars and Stripes brunch on Sunday morning - the ambience is of course great and the service is super friendly!!! Thanks for that. I also think it's great that the waitress receives a tip if the guest pays by card (it was confirmed to me that this is the case). The food was very varied and fresh, very finely prepared. Great selection and plenty of it. Highly recommended and thank you very much for that.

Perfect place. Very interesting design and surprises with its variety. The food is very reminiscent of America. But the wings were overcooked. A place where you can have a date, as well as a great place to meet friends in a large group. Great atmosphere and cheerful staff create a great holiday atmosphere.

The food is delicious and the service is friendly and attentive. The style is also harmonious, so you sit in a partly rustic interior, but which clearly calls out the "USA" theme. I like it very much. The terrace is also nice. However, the USA style is somewhat omitted here. However, it is very pleasant to sit there and eat your chicken wings. Brunch on Sunday is also recommended! 😃

The food tastes fantastic, there is a large selection of burgers and additional dishes such as fries with cheese gratin and shrimps so far we have had nothing to complain about, friendly and courteous staff and a location in the heart of the city of St.Gallen. Price level a bit high but normal for the location.

Very tasty food and absolutely great value for money. The steak was amazing. My girlfriend was vegi but also horny! Service was also great, even though you had to wait a long time, but given the circumstances that you had to do everything yourself, I'm happy to give it 4 stars, considering that I've been in the catering industry for too long (22 years). Today we ordered three burgers with side dishes via the Eat platform. Just the right thing after a boozy evening, one would think. However, what awaited us when the food we ordered arrived shook our world view. At the latest when these monsters were interrogated, it was clear that the characteristic of edibility was not present here! All in all, a pathetic performance from start to finish. To give a few examples: The rolls were soggy, the meat was tasteless, the fries were unsalted and also soggy. Long story short, ordering here has masochistic traits!!!

I went to S&S today for the American brunch and was very disappointed. We arrived at around 12:20 and most of the warm food was lukewarm or cold, many dishes were gone already and not refilled. The potato wedges were cold and looked very dry, same with coleslaw or whatever it was, dry and unappetizing. The croissants and bread were dry too. There was almost no sliced warm ham left, no pancakes (I managed to get the last one, dry and sweet and not tasty), the maple syrup was gone, not even a drop left, the bean dish was undercooked and beans were hard and dry inside. I can go on and on. It wasn't worth the money at all. It was the worst brunch I've had in years.

To be honest the food was really bad, dry and expensive. "500 grams" of fries (you have to change the frying oil more often) without sauce and completely dry, you can taste old frying oil. 9.50 CHF for a glass of white wine is too expensive. McDonald's would be much cheaper and much tastier than "Stars and Stripes" (very loud name for nothing)

Very tasty food. The menu is based on American food and is really varied. There is also something for vegetarians and vegans. The portions are large and you'll definitely have enough after eating. The atmosphere is cozy. It is also possible to eat both outside and inside.
