I would like to give more and I will do so when they catch on perhaps later, I am ready to give 5 stars. Being the only restaurant of its kind in the whole area. Furthermore, I don't give more than three stars, in fact I'm tempted to lower the rating due to a nice catch that we noticed only after leaving: If you order the sandwich that includes a craft beer to take away and you don't get it, the price drops, excluding the price of the beer. But last night we had the same sandwich and always without beer but with a different drink, 𝙡 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙯𝙯𝙤 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙤 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙤 𝙪𝙣𝙖 𝙗𝙞𝙧𝙧𝙖 𝙣𝙤 𝙣 𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙖 𝙚 𝙪𝙣𝙖 𝙗𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙖 𝙞𝙣 𝙥𝙞𝙪̀, 𝙖 𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙖. This is not correct! And for this reason I give the cost a 1. Otherwise the prices would be normal... for a beef burger, and not a vegetable one... Speaking of location, a bit sterile. The restaurant has just opened so I hope that in the future the atmosphere will improve and be enriched, perhaps with some plants to give that green touch which could go very well with the white of the restaurant. The restaurant and toilets are very clean. I have nothing to say about the quality and taste of the food. The Burveg I ate was really good but I agree with my colleague that the side dish is a bit cheap given the price of the dish. I also had a dessert, which also has quite high prices, which was good. For both courses the service was a little slow. The staff is calm and very courteous. I don't want to comment on what happened with the payment because my colleague has already clarified very well, but I was disappointed, given that the prices are already high for the quantities served (we left the restaurant still hungry). A great experience, we were welcomed in a very friendly and professional manner. The service is very courteous and attentive, the cuisine is very good and refined. It's a matter of personal taste, but I would like to find more dishes with legumes.

A beautiful, small restaurant with charming hosts who conjure up extremely delicious vegan dishes on the table. Despite the small menu, it's difficult to decide; under no circumstances should you miss out on dessert. The map is only in Italian, but an English description was gladly given orally. Thank you very much for the lovely evening and the excellent food.

Let me start by saying that I am not vegan, in fact I love meat, fish, eggs, cheese, but I ate divinely well! I tried the Beijing Express dish which has a planted chicken or protein derived from peas which really looks like chicken, accompanied by coconut milk rice which together with some vegetables were an explosion of flavour! Even the desserts for being vegan were good, not excellent, in short, desserts without eggs, milk, butter have some limitations, let's be honest. I highly recommend it especially to skeptics like me.

Quality and quantity for lunch or dinner. On several occasions I have had lunch and dinner at Aquafaba and I must honestly say that the level has risen more and more. Compliments!!! Aquafaba is not a vegan restaurant, but a restaurant where you eat really well.

An explosion of flavors I was curious to try a 100% plant-based restaurant and I'll be honest, it exceeded all expectations and I had already arrived with fairly high expectations. It was really really good. I would perhaps improve the quantities BUT we took the tasting menus so I don't know if the portions were a little smaller for that reason. I'm super satisfied with what I ate and I'm already recommending it to everyone. The prices were quite fair. The dishes I recommend are the burveg and the "cheescake"... spectacular. The only criticism I have is that the paper menus were very poorly organized and that the photos of the online menus often didn't match what you got

The restaurant is very nice and welcoming, the owners are very kind and the food is really good. I really enjoyed myself despite not having a vegan philosophy, in general the combinations of the dishes are interesting. Definitely will come back!

It's the third time we've come (the first was still under the name Melamangio) and we feel like there's an improvement every time. It is the best address for those looking for a vegan menu in Ticino (if not in Switzerland).

The menu is very varied and good. The location looks very good, the only flaw is that when there are a lot of people you can hear a lot of background noise. The service from the waiter could improve!

Terrible service, we were received very rudely. I waited for my friend outside and was literally turned away for no reason. Let's hope the food is better for the guests than the service... even though it really belongs to both. However, we will not eat on the diet.

We went for lunch for the first time, we ate a spring lasagna with asparagus, an aquafaba menu consisting of tacos on a bed of lettuce, a tiramisu and a creme brulee. We drank Salice Salentino Bio. It was all delicious, cooked with effort and passion. The place is very nice and welcoming and the owners are kind and professional.

Poor quality of service, it doesn't explain what's on the plate, you always have to ask, and sometimes the waiter doesn't even know what's on the plate... he brings the glasses to the table for water and then forgets the carafe, it doesn't come often to see how it's going, he doesn't refill your glasses if they are half empty or completely empty, he doesn't ask if it's going well with the food nothing. I was very disappointed by this brunch, with the food there wasn't much connection between the flavors and the ingredients, and it's strange because usually with you this part was never negative, in fact it's always the best, but this time there wasn't any. it was nothing to do, I hope they improve in this aspect regarding customer service. The quality/price ratio in this case does not exceed my expectations, I will definitely not be returning very soon.

One of the best - if not THE best - places to eat vegan food in Ticino. If you have to try only one thing, my advice is their tartare 🤤 Only place to have vegan brunch. Delicious!

I tried this beautiful restaurant for the first time yesterday for the vegan brunch and what can I say, an exceptional experience. The food is delicious and very tasty, even according to omnivorous diners. The preparations are carefully explained by the very kind chef/owner. All the staff are extremely friendly, they even helped us by offering various alternatives for my 3 year old nephew who is very difficult with food. Absolutely recommended, congratulations keep it up!

High quality Vegan food, Swiss prices

Well cooked vegan dishes, with interesting flavors (according to a non-vegan). A good address to have lunch and dinner in Mendrisio. The "carbonara" was really excellent and highly recommended, the tempeh tartare was good in both consistency and flavour. The bread has a good rise, I would recommend a pinch of extra salt (although I personally use very little). Friendly and accommodating staff. Simple and tidy restaurant with some tables outside: if only they were at the back, in the splendid (neighbours'?) garden, away from the busy Via Turconi. Well done, keep going. PS. some advice: the menu card is difficult to read, the forks are uncomfortable, a well-prepared salad could be added to the evening menu

A restaurant like this was missing in Ticino. Well done. Excellent and refined dishes with a delicious combination of flavours. Superlative tempeh tartare. Unexpected jackfruit. Supreme Catalan cream. But I would have expected organic ingredients. If they were, you would do well to point it out. Even the organic drinks are a little too few for a restaurant of this level. If it hadn't been for this I would have gladly given you 5 stars.

Very nicely decorated and clean vegan restaurant. The toilets are also very clean and tidy. The service was extremely friendly and helpful when translating, as the menu was only available in Italian. The food is freshly prepared. Great importance is attached to the beautiful presentation of the food. The tartare was excellent. It is highly recommended. The Caesar salad was good in size and delicious in taste. The mixed salad was originally prepared. Both salads were fresh and crunchy. The Spagetti Bacio Pepe had a perfect bite and tasted of lavender and pepper. The risotto is also beautifully prepared and exceptionally tasty with a hint of coconut. The club sandwich was very well seasoned and generously filled with avocado, tomatoes, lettuce, etc. The crema catalana had a perfect consistency, with a slight taste of cinnamon. The tiramisu was creamy and delicious - could have had a little more coffee in it.

Finding a vegan place in the area during covid was almost a mission impossible for us, but finally, we stumbled across Melamangio, and boy, it was a blessing. The flavor compositions, the interesting propositions on the menu, the way the serve their food - all of that surprised us hugely and that’s a compliment. I really loved the idea of brussel sprouts on the sticks called lollipops, so creative!

This place is amazing. The waiter was friendly and professional. Good choice of beers made in Ticino. The food itself is delicious, well presented, fresh and uses exotic and rare ingredients. I thought I wasn't going to eat enough but the main dish and the dessert was more than enough to satisfy me and leave me feel full. The most incredible part was the vegan dessert. I had a tiramisù that was creamy, delicious and beyond my expectations.

Bar restaurant located in the center of Mendrisio, in a strategic position between the various shops, banks and services. Based on the vegetarian-vegan philosophy, from the milk for the coffee, to the croissants, to the dishes offered for lunch. A particular reality that was missing in the region.
