The pizzas look great. Unfortunately, they are not crispy like when they are delivered at home. The service is very stressed (possibly too little) and therefore not attentive. We always had to draw attention to ourselves somehow.

Best pizza in Basel. Great service, nice atmosphere. Nice Italian wine selection. Unfortunately, the espresso was slightly weak and bitter. Don't let that turn you off of a great pizza place.

On my pizza, the basil was forgotten and then just came back with 5 leaves on it...and there was quite a lot of ready-made parmesan on it.😑So Neapolitan pizza is something different...In addition, my pizza dough was rather rubbery and soft instead of crispy . Hardly anyone from the staff spoke German.🙁 Okay, but never again.

Still great food, nice service, my favorite in the area. I love the calzone calabrese, and at lunch time with the menu, it is really worth the value.

One of the best pizzas I’ve had in Basel I’ve lived here 17 years. I’ve tried everywhere I’ve been wanting to go to this place for four years and I finally went. I asked them to bake it a little bit more. it was amazin! Thank you to the staff for being so friendly and helpful as well.

I am Italian from the South and this place makes real Neapolitan pizza.. the price is not cheap (and being in Switzerland is perhaps ok) but you get what you pay for. The portions are quite big as well. I rated the service as 4 out of 5 just because we had to wait a bit for the waiters to come but I also have to say that the place was quite busy.

Pizzas are delicious, has so many alternative, kind and understanding staff, good atmosphere in restaurant, and the price is affordable when I compare the Zurich (You can also check menu from here and reviews before going there). Just be careful when you’re ordering the pizza if you are muslim. (stay away from “pork,prosciutto cotto,sausage,ham, and salame etc.”) Get help from the staff to choose the right option for you. Staffs mostly speaks Italian, you can order in English as well. We ordered; * Burrato Bianca * 4 Formaggi Bianca * 4 Stagioni (without -prosciutto cotto ) I hope this would be helpful :)

Artigiano in Basel is a true amazing dining experiences! This charming restaurant, specializing in authentic Neapolitan cuisine, offers a delightful ambiance and a menu that tantalizes the taste buds. We love the mouthwatering pizzas, every dish we tried was a perfection which came out of that 450 degrees celcius stone oven. They have a nice variations to choose which everyone can enjoy. This time we sat inside. However, when it’s summer I’m looking forward to sit at their peaceful terrace to enjoy pizza. The service staff, notably Fabrizio and Elisa, were exceptionally attentive, friendly, and truly enhanced our evening. From the warm welcome to the exquisite dishes served, every detail was outstanding. A must-visit for anyone seeking for a romantic or meeting up together with friends in Basel. WE GOT A FREE LIMONCELLO SHOT!!!! 😍

We visited Artigiano today for a birthday. As always, the food was top class, but this time the service from Lisa & Team was a complete surprise. With a song sung and a never-ending candle (joke item) on the cake, you put a smile on our faces. Thank you 🙌🏽

We had reserved a table for 6 p.m., but you had already informed us in advance that the table would have to be free again after 1.5 - 2 hours. We accepted it and thought we'd leave a little early. We arrived at 5:20 p.m. and asked if we could go in yet. They said yes. Everything was fine until then. The waiters were very unfriendly, came the whole time we were eating and asked if we were ready even though the tasteless, watery pizza came 5 minutes earlier and was still completely on the plate. We thought it was a joke and laughed about it and said to him, why do you want to eat it? Then he got a little embarrassed and left. We wanted something to drink and asked for another napkin which never arrived. At 6:10 p.m. we were literally thrown out of the restaurant because the table had been reserved and we knew that the next ones would come after 2 hours. But we weren't even there for an hour and it was only 6:10 p.m. we had reserved the table until 8 p.m. The full drinks and food were taken from the table and required me to dress my 4 month old baby outside as the guests were waiting. I am shocked, disappointed and completely angry. But you accepted the bill for CHF 323.90 without regret. We'll never go there again. Not only was the staff terrible, but the pizza wasn't good either and we went there about 3-5 times a year and never spent less than CHF 400. It was a good thing if you hadn't asked us out after 1 hour, you would have been billed for CHF 500, as we still planned to eat dessert and toast my mother's birthday. I don't recommend anyone to go there.

Understand that when you enter an Italian restaurant that they want to speak Italian. But if you don't know that language and answer in English, you don't have to continue. Pizza was really good, but getting a drink when you've eaten half your pizza is not good.

Pizza was good, but not great. Not enough air and too much liquid. Service was very friendly!

The pizza was great, but the price, especially at 8 francs for a beer, is simply overpriced. Also, despite there being few guests, the service was more self-absorbed and the ambience was simply not appealing. Rap music was playing on the TV like it was in a cheap kebab shop and the Christmas decorations (or what was left of them) were still hanging on the ceiling. As previous speakers have already mentioned, the pizza was great and highly recommended, but I wouldn't come again for the price. *Addendum due to the operator's outrageous answer: I don't want water but a beer, which doesn't cost 8 francs in other restaurants either open or bottled. As mentioned, the reason for the bad rating is not the food or the drinks, but the poor service and the atmosphere: the restaurant was dingy, the tables weren't cleaned, there's no need to comment on the toilets and the service was more like flirting with each other busy and on their cell phones instead of taking orders and collecting them. By the way, it was a Monday evening and not at all busy. It's a shame that people don't want to do more here.

The pizza is in Napoli style, thin in the centre with a thick fluffy crust. The place can be very busy and service is sometimes quick or imperfect, but the staff is friendly. Only 10+ people bookings are accepted.

First of all, I want to tell you about the staff, who are very polite and nice. The waiter was so friendly that I immediately wanted to try something, and the restaurant smelled of something delicious. Cold wine was served elegantly, as in a VIP place. I felt like an English queen who stopped by for a cup of coffee to warm up on a cold evening. I recommend!!!!

Artigiano always has the best pizzas in the city of Basel, authentic Italian pizza and the Italian staff make you feel at home, the pizza with a special stuffed edge, my favorite is the one with salami and a touch of oil with the spicy Italian peperoncino chili 🌶️ I🇮🇹 in Switzerland🇨🇭

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the pizzeria here and I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with my visit. The restaurant is located in a charming area and exudes a cozy atmosphere from the outside. When I entered the restaurant I was warmly greeted by the waitress. Her name was Soul and she was extremely friendly and accommodating. She showed me to my table and took the time to explain the menu to me. Her recommendations were excellent and I chose a pizza and a selection of antipasti. The pizza I ordered was simply outstanding. The dough was perfectly crispy and the toppings were fresh and of the highest quality. Every bite was a delight and I couldn't get enough of it. The antipasti were also delicious. The different flavors and textures harmonized perfectly with each other and I could feel the attention to detail in every dish. What particularly impressed me was Soul's advice. She was very knowledgeable about the different dishes and was able to help me with my selection. Her passion for Italian cuisine was clearly noticeable and she was even able to give me some interesting background information about the dishes. The atmosphere in the pizzeria here was also excellent. The furnishings were stylish and cozy at the same time. The warm colors and atmospheric lighting created a pleasant atmosphere in which you immediately felt at home. The restaurant was busy, but the noise level was still pleasant and it was easy to have a conversation. All in all, my visit to the pizzeria here was a complete success. The pizza and antipasti were of the highest quality and tasted excellent. Soul, the waitress, impressed me with her friendliness and expertise. The atmosphere was inviting and I felt completely comfortable. I can only warmly recommend the pizzeria here and will definitely come back.

Best pizza in Basel! Loved the base and ingradients

First class pizza. Pizza Fritta was also on the menu - like in Napoli. The tiramisu for dessert didn't convince me in terms of taste. I've recently eaten better food in various places. Nice atmosphere outside with pleasant temperatures. The service outside was a bit confused and disorganized. At various tables people tried to serve things that another table had ordered. Are there no table numbers? I would come back because of the excellent pizza.

Good attention, fast service and as for the food and wine I can limit myself to commenting on the pizza. In this regard I can tell you that it has good taste and texture. The prices are reasonable in the context of the Swiss with an average GDP per capita of $9000 per month. For foreigners and in general I can say that the prices are through the roof.

Very friendly - and very good pizza

Pizza was absolutely amazing! Insane dough and overall the pizza was mega. The location isn't necessarily great in the summer when you have to eat with constant posers driving back and forth... it was a bit annoying. But the restaurant can't help it. We hardly had to wait even though the restaurant was already full… Staff was friendly, but that bothered me, I felt stressed by the staff at the end… you felt that they just wanted to free up the space for other guests.. we barely sat for 45 minutes There were four of us there.. I had barely finished eating and they were clearing away the plates and snacks.. I would have liked to have had another dessert if they hadn't put so much pressure on me.. I wanted to let the pizza sit for a moment before I ate something else...what a shame

The food is very good! I give few points because the waitress practically didn't care about us. One lady took our order somewhat non-chalantly, the second waitress didn't even manage to formulate a proper, complete sentence and you would have thought that she had no idea what we had ordered from her colleague. It was only towards the end that the first employee noticed that we were missing drinking glasses and that we would have had to drink from the carafe if we were very thirsty. This lack of attention to the guests detracts from the whole visit, which is a huge shame considering the excellent food! In addition, it was better on previous visits…

Great restaurant in the middle of Basel, atmosphere almost like in Naples. Food was delicious, the waiter was very friendly and very quick. We'd love to come back...

Uber eats order not respected. Lack of cutlery, chili oil and we also asked that they cut the pizzas as we were outside which was not done. In addition the pizzas arrived cold it was the evening of July 31 so not many delivery people available but it is common sense for a restaurant to cancel the order if it could affect the quality and taste of the dish.

In this restaurant you can eat excellent pizza, even a pizza with a stuffed edge and many other Neapolitan or Italian specialties. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. One point less for the rather "noisy" atmosphere, I would suggest mounting some noise absorbers on the ceiling and making the televisions disappear. What surprised me the most and left me with a bitter aftertaste were the exaggerated prices for beer and drinks. For this reason, I will remove two points. I find the prices to be unjustified. In my opinion, asking 8 Swiss francs for a 33cl beer is a crime, no worse than stealing!

Excellent pizzas, especially the Cornicione, a discovery for me, which makes the dough much more pleasant to eat. On the other hand, we will avoid desserts, not as good as pizzas, with the exception of ice cream.

This pizza deserves 6 stars! It really was absolute madness! Unfortunately, the location is not worthy of the restaurant. The restaurant can't do anything about it, they made the best of it. Since the crew forgot to take the order after the drinks hah, there is a deduction in the service. There weren't many people. I would have liked a little more attention. But full marks because the pizza was really bombastic.

This place is a gem!! It’s usually full in the evening but nothing beats having your aperol while waiting for a table to be free. We tried pizza Calabrese and pizza Cafona and they were both amazingly delicious!! The vibe is very Italian and the staff are super friendly. You can immediately tell this pizza is going to be fantastic just by looking at it. The crust is airy yet chewy, the sauce is perfectly balanced, and the cheese is tasty - this is what pizza perfection tastes like. Place gets a bit stuffy in the summer and could use some more fans, otherwise was top notch and will definitely be coming back!

Best pizza I’ve had in a while! Loved our experience!

Tasty Neapolitan pizza with good toppings and chewy crust. Indoor or outdoor seating. If you follow Google Maps, note that the entrance is in the "back alley", not where the Tram runs. About 25 CHF per pizza, probably average for this area.

All in all a very strange experience... There were six of us and we ordered six pizzas and drinks. The drinks came relatively quickly. However, we waited 40 minutes and there were still no pizzas on our table. When we asked an employee about it, she said she would pass it on. After another 20 minutes we asked another employee and he also said he would pass it on. Another 20 minutes later a staff member came to us and asked if we already knew what we wanted to order and we said that we had been waiting for 90 minutes. Then the food came within 10 minutes... However, they were wrong pizzas but we didn't want to wait another 90 minutes so we just ate them.

Unfortunately, I only get good marks for the food. Service was unfriendly and callous. The prices for the drinks are beyond good and bad.

Dear Craftsman team, Let me start by saying that I am always the first to support Italianness and Italian excellence (pizza included) abroad, but in your place there are many things that don't work and disturb the consumer. Good pizza but disastrous service and unpleasant atmosphere. I order 4 seasons pizza without mozzarella (because in 2023 you don't have a lactose-free alternative) and ask if I can have some flakes of grana padano. I get a 4 seasons pizza with parmesan and mozzarella. My pizza comes back but not my guest's so we eat in rounds. Despite everything, I pay full price for a 4 season and a flake supplement 😳 which you should have mentioned at the time of ordering. Initially, our receipt also included the coffees from the next table, and the most annoying thing was seeing the waiters arguing with each other. There is nothing of Neapolitan and Italian hospitality, perhaps you should serve fewer people and treat them better. Good work!
