Another pearl from the Seven. The restaurant has a feel-good atmosphere and is casually furnished. The food was very good and the service was very attentive

Absolutely fantastic place and great ambience

We recently had a craving for sushi and decided on the Asia Restaurant in Ascona. A great restaurant with great attention to detail. It was warm outside, so we sat on the terrace. A great view of Lake Maggiore thanks to the Asia's great location. We shared a seven platter, the dim sum and the tartare. Presentation on the plates is very nice and you can tell the good quality of the fish. A very great selection in the wine list. We never lacked attention from the service. Thanks to the entire team. Happy to come back 👍🏽

Unfortunately the price performance is disappointing. Avocado mango tartare for 16 fr. which then has to be looked for in the plate. Had already eaten much better.

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you fancy Asian cuisine. Great food, but the service is particularly noteworthy, extremely friendly and accommodating. We're looking forward to next time.

Very nice restaurant and good atmosphere with a very pretty setting and magnificent view of the lake and the village of Ascona. The place is really nice. Unfortunately the food is not really up to par. Sushi small and bland but well presented, Tom Yum soup without coconut milk with 2 unfortunate shrimps lost in half a liter of soup. Dim Sum certainly not “homemade” (maybe I'm wrong) with thick and sticky dough. Unsmiling but efficient service. Nice wine list and our chosen sake was excellent. Mixed memory.

Truly beautiful restaurant and location, super professional and friendly service. The food was very good, really tastefully eaten. The prices are a little high but nothing exaggerated. We really enjoyed the sushi.

Very disappointed! We waited 1 hour 25 minutes to get our dishes (sashimi and sushi). No excuses were given to us: they are just very slow and overwhelmed. The dishes were good but not exceptional either. The entry (spring roll) is of no interest, it's low quality. It is excessively expensive (128 CHF for 1 starter, 2 glasses of wine, 1 sashimi and 2 sushi) for the level of quality and service. In addition, they made a mistake in the bill (to their advantage of course!). We do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The food is definitely very good. Dont complain about the prices, the menu is high end by any standard. But what’s up with stone faced waiters? Why is this unfriendly face from people who are supposed to be service oriented?! If you are into food and friendly service just go to another asian restaurant next door. I miss so much the Chinese restaurant that used to be in the same space years ago.

Sensational evening spent with our family at Asia! Very friendly and attentive service, great and creative aperitifs! Excellent sushi… the sushi variation “Stefan” is highly recommended!! Everything fresh and delicious! Our kids had fried rice with chicken… large and very tasty portion! For dessert we had super delicious mocchi’s! Top service and food! Long waiting times though and a little expensive, even for Ascona...

Very tasty, gourmet Asian/Japanese. I really enjoyed every dish. The only drawback: there is almost no food for small children to order.

I liked the food, I liked the ambience, I liked the location. Value? Nah, not really probably 10 t0 15% over the top. Staff were friendly but there simply wasn't enough of them for a Saturday night which meant for long wait times between courses. Overall I will give them 8/10.

Today we were able to be guests in the Seven Group's second restaurant, Restaurant Asia. As in the Riva, everything there is tip top. Very good dish served with a lot of love and skill by attentive and friendly staff. Thank you for the successful evening

Nice location, nice view over the bay and the city. Very nicely prepared dishes, very tasty. The waiting time of 45 minutes between starter and main course was simply too long.

When we arrived everything looked very well maintained and clean. The staff was very friendly the whole evening. The food was very good and also good quality. The prices were ok too. The serving of the food could have been a little quicker but overall it was great with a beautiful view of the sea.

The Restaurant has a beautiful view. But to sit at the front tables with a privileged view of the lake, you need to make a reservation. I ordered a Thai curry, it was good. The service is good, it lacked a "pinch" of friendliness. I love Asian food and didn't feel like going back.

Food, beverage and service are excellent. Some might say upfront prices look high but in the end they're not. If I was living in Ascona or in the area this is a restaurant I'd like to go more often.

Inviting menu and a change from the overabundance of pizza and pasta in the region. Service was friendly and attentive. We couldn't sit inside because everything was supposedly reserved. However, the restaurant was not full during our entire stay. This could certainly have been coordinated better. Unfortunately, the avocado tartare for 15 CHF, which was supposed to be with avocado and mango, was disappointing. A tartare of about half an avocado was served with a touch of mango dressing. Plus no pepper or salt. The 0.5 avocado costs around 1.50 CHF to purchase. It's outrageous that they charge ten times more for an avocado here. The edamame were ok. The fried rice was rather small in terms of portion size but tasted good. The curry was good. The bottle of water was overpriced. Unfortunately for us it was not a culinary experience that we will remember as the price-performance ratio is not balanced.

The lake opens at 11:30 a.m. Food is not served at the lake. So we sat down in front of the restaurant and were told this was a table for four people. We leave the restaurant and eat at the next restaurant. An hour later, we saw a single person being served food by the lake. We have never experienced anything so unfriendly. We have been here several times over the last two years and have been very at peace. That's it for us, we won't be coming back.

Ordered mie goreng for lunch, excellent quality and taste, price more than proportionate. If the sauce were a bit less thick it would be the best.

To start we had salmon nigiri, it was very tasty and beautifully presented. As a main course I had entrecote from the hot stone. Stunning, everything extremely tasty. Wine selection was very appropriate. For dessert there was matcha tiramisu, which tasted very good. We'd love to come back!!!!

What a nice surprise! We didn't expect to receive such delicious and beautifully presented dishes. We decided spontaneously and it was a great decision! Rarely have I eaten such a great and balanced duck including side dishes. At first I thought it was a little underwhelming, but looking back I can confidently say that it was perfect. The flavors of the vegetables and rice harmonized fabulously with the duck and the sauce. Very, very fine food! Thank you!

I had the Black Tiger Tepanjaky and it was excellent. What is most important to me is the cooking point of the shrimp and it was simply perfect; Still slightly glassy on the inside, nicely seared on the outside. The side dishes were also excellent and the plate was fantastically prepared. The only downside are the prices of the drinks. These are a tad too high.

Made a delivery order with two bottles of sparkling water, spent around 200 fr, good sushi but nothing special, correct timing, but no longer sparkling water as it expired 5 months ago, in short, for a restaurant like this a bit sad , maybe that extra attention to detail doesn't hurt. Good asian restaurant just next to the lake. Perfekt the enjou food and the lakeview. Staff was friendly and food good, just a little expensive. Otherwiese great to enjoy.

Enjoy your meal. But a non-printed wine list is not possible. Nice staff who then gave you a tablet for your choice of wine. Locally rather very expensive.

We had the 4-course sushi menu. The food was excellent. The service was friendly and accommodating. Only the waiting time between courses was perhaps a bit long, but still ok. But now comes the hammer. An absolute no-go, which is why we will never bring our money to this restaurant again for the profit of this operator. As much as we wanted to leave a generous tip for the nice waitress, an instruction from the boss prevented this. When paying by card, it is not possible to “overpay” the final amount so that this amount benefits the staff. Just as it is common practice today and everywhere else. Who still has cash with them today? These times are slowly finally over. It is simply shameful how the service staff is treated by this restaurant operator. I definitely don't support something like that. If I'm happy, I'd like to give a little tip. It shouldn't matter whether I pay in cash or by card. In my opinion, a fair and correct innkeeper must, on the one hand, enable cashless payment of tips and, on the other hand, pass on this money in full to the employees without any ifs and buts. Otherwise, I think it shows an unacceptable disregard for the employees. The fact that there actually are such restaurateurs not only makes me angry but also sad. Especially because this is the operator of a restaurant in the best location in Ascona. It is well known that employees in the catering industry are not exactly blessed with lavish salaries and can really use every cent of tip. So I just say to the operator of the Seven restaurants in Ascona: “Ugh, shame on you!”

We spent a wonderful evening with delicious Asian food and attentive, friendly staff. Price performance top! The toilets are a bit dark, all black, not my taste.

Simply fantastic! Starting with the best tempura vegetables I've ever had, to an excellent 🍣 sushi and a wonderful dessert creation. Saved with an enchanting view of the lake 🌅

We give 3 stars for the food, well seasoned and beautifully presented. The service was very busy so we came up a little short. The second visit wasn't so good, the food was different than the first time...well...consumed for 400.- and got the bill even though we hadn't asked for it yet.

Es ist immer eine Freude dieses nicht nur fabelhafte sondern auch mit Liebe und hohem Können zubereitete Sushi zu geniessen. Der Thon sucht seines Gleichen in der Schweiz. Für mich zählt diese Sushi zu den Top 10 in DACH.

Höhepunkt der Fusion Küche war für mich die Vorspeise Beef Tataki. Das geschmacklich Zusammenspiel von Ponzu-Sauce, Schaum, Rindsfilet und Gemüse ist harmonisch und vielschichtig. Innenarchitektur und das Mise en place strahlen sehr viel Stil aus: elegantes Schwarz dominiert.Die Qualität des Services und das Timing waren gut.

Excellent food and presentation. Friendly service. I loved the Urumaki rolls and the chocolate bao desert. Even the Soja sauce is delicious.

Ich habe das 7Asia vor vier Jahren besucht, als das Restaurant noch in der Via Borgo war. Damals war es ein echtes Erlebnis da zu sein und das frisch vor der eigenen Nase zubereitete Essen zu geniessen.Heute ist es einfach ein stinknormales Restaurant mit zuwenig Personal. Natürlich Coronabedingt, trotzdem erwarte ich, dass das Restaurant sich auf sowas einstellt und nicht noch auf der Terasse Tische anbietet, wo dann das Essen, das nach Ewigkeiten kommt, sofort erkaltet! Wir haben geschlagene drei Stunden für unser Nachtessen gebraucht! Die verzweifelt umherrennenden Serviertöchter konnten wirklich nichts dafür, der Maitre war mit seinen "wohlwollenden" Bemerkungen auch nicht gerade hilfreich...eher nervend. Wir sind sehr enttäuscht und würden das 7asia sicher nicht empfehlen. Bevor ich es vergesse: wer Thaicurrys kennt, sollte es hier nicht bestellen!

Wir waren vor ein paar Tagen Abendessen. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und hilfsbereit auch bei Empfehlungen abzugeben bzgl. der Speisekarte. Leider sind die Preise in keinem Verhältnis für eine durchschnittliche Küche. Zudem bekommt man eine Kinderportion Preis / Leistung stimmt da gar nicht. Kann dieses Lokal nicht empfehlen.
