The best Swiss gastronomy restaurant in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The quality-price ratio is great. The quality of the product and the choice of fades is incredible. The service is welcoming and close. Everything is homemade with care. The hostel is really warm. We will come back.

Excellent and very welcoming. The only downside about the quantity is that two of us came for lunch and the portions are a little light when we are working, but the flavors are excellent, the presentation of the plate is perfect, and the terrace is very pleasant. To recommend.

What a great discovery! In a setting that can be enjoyed both in the afternoon and in the evening, the Auberge du Mont Cornu pleasantly surprised us! The menu offers a variety of dishes that satisfy all tastes. The fondues are excellent and the rest of the dishes are extremely elaborate. We really liked the friendliness of the service who was able to respond to our requests simply and with a smile. A 5th star deserved for the attention paid to details such as the quality of the bread or the decoration of the bathrooms. We'll come back!

We spent a wonderful evening at the Auberge du Mont-Cornu. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and very cheerful. Well done to them! The food was delicious, with careful presentation and great flavors. As for the service, it was quick and efficient, without being rushed. I highly recommend this hostel and will return as soon as possible.

The best fondue around To be enjoyed as soon as possible!

I'm talking here about the restaurant, and my experience and appreciation of 1 dinner. We are no longer in the economic category here, but rather upper middle without yet entering the haute cuisine. Very good for the quality of the food where, with six people each having 1 different menu, with the exception of a "bleu fondue" for two people (25 francs p. pers.), it was possible to enjoy make a general opinion. The reason for my 3 star rating therefore does not come from there, but from an atmosphere that I found cold and formal, despite the efforts that this restaurateur has made for the decor and cleanliness of his premises. I would rather have thought I was in a French restaurant; an impression reinforced by the two eggs brought by a waitress towards the end of our fondue, a French Savoyard practice, and not Swiss (what idea?!), as well as by the old objects displayed in a window, identified by city names French when this was the case. This surprised me, since the rest of the setting seems to want to identify with a traditional and slightly folkloric Switzerland (re?). For foreigners looking for an immersion in authentic Switzerland with 100% Swiss cuisine, there is, on the opposite slope, on the other side of La Chaux-de-Fonds, the "Buvette Le Maillard" ( which is not a refreshment bar but rather a restaurant) which, ironically, makes no effort for that, with a quality-quantity-price ratio as a bonus which is unbeatable in my opinion.

Very remote Swiss country cuisine restaurant. Beautifully decorated with flowers from the outside. Inside you can also find fresh flowers on the table. The furniture is quite old but ok. The service is very nice. You should make a reservation. It is clean, but there are a lot of annoying flies. We ordered cheese fondue with cream. Please take care! If you are asked if you would like potatoes, the cost is 5 CHF. The fondue costs CHF 23.50 per person. A lot of bread is brought, which is not necessarily fresh. After the fondue, one egg per person is served to fry in the fondue pot. In general it can be said: it is a nice place to sit and chat in a cozy atmosphere. There are also seats outside. A pot of fresh peppermint tea costs CHF 9.90. Once a year ok.

The best place in the city to eat a fondue or have an aperitif (salted bricelets) on the most beautiful flowered terrace (numerous awards received) in the region. Very beautiful view of the city and the last sunny spot on the heights of Mont-Cornu.
