Bacco Ristorante Pizzeria in Schwyz

After years we spontaneously went to Bacco again for dinner and it was like years ago: simply wonderfully Italian! The service was super friendly and the food was delicious. And a good selection of food with fair prices. Gladly again.

An authentic Italian experience! As a long-time regular, I have so far neglected to write a review. The restaurant offers ample parking upon arrival and I was always able to easily find a spot, regardless of the day of the week. As you enter the restaurant, you are enveloped in the delicious scent of Italian cuisine and the atmosphere is inviting. The welcome is warm and you are promptly shown to your seat. In the middle is the pizzaiolo, who prepares the pizzas in front of you and puts them in the oven. The service is attentive and the food selection is varied. My final dish, Piccata Milanese, was exceptionally delicious. The salad was also very fishy, ​​rich with sauce and vegetables. The ambience is charming and designed in Italian style. The toilets are clean and easily accessible, unlike many other Italian restaurants where you feel like you are in a maze. I can fully recommend this restaurant, especially in combination with a walk along the lake promenade on a sunny day!

Dirty cutlery and too expensive

Unfortunately not like it used to be. Good selection of food, have been going to this restaurant once a year for over 10 years. Salmon was more than done, very salty. The spinach that came with it had no salt or any other spices. Pizza wasn't that great either. Weird cheese instead of fine mozzarella, few, barely seasoned sauce. We waited around 40 minutes for the food at lunchtime, even though the restaurant was only about half full. I was surprised, before it was hard to get a seat at lunchtime... But now it's clear to me why that is.

My wife and I have been going to Bacco in Ingenbohl/Brunnen for years, even with friends. Every time we are very impressed: You can sit comfortably inside and outside, the service is courteous and the owners Ana & Giuliano offer one very varied and high quality Italian cuisine. Always very high quality and fresh ingredients, plus a large wine list with excellent wines from the bottle to the glass. We always enjoy coming to Bacco and can really recommend this to everyone!

I went for dinner with my husband because of the good reviews I read, the pizza was disappointing due to the low quality of the ingredients.

The restaurant was recommended. Unfortunately we cannot pass this on. Even though we had reserved, there was no table for us. After we were seated, other guests sat down at the next table. Prosecco was immediately brought to them with the card. We got the card and the employee left again. Table next door was able to order and was served like kings. We were still waiting to be able to order an aperitif. After 15 minutes someone came and took our order. I was rudely asked how I would like my “campari on ice” without ojuice and water, thank you. The employee didn't really listen to me (female). That's why my zander came with Pernod sauce and fennel. When the misunderstanding was pointed out, there was a half-witted apology. No alternative was offered. Spinach came instead because I said I didn't like fennel. When I hadn't finished the fish or the spinach, the employee got upset. I said I'd have dessert instead. Card never came! 15 minutes later my mood was in the basement and I ordered the bill. The highlight was that I still had to pay for the wrong order. They also didn't ask for wine or coffee. The table next door was offered coffee and dessert. Clear preference for men! The evening leaves a very bad taste in my mouth and I'm annoyed that I didn't say something straight away.

While passing through Brunnen, we were looking for a good restaurant. It was a Sunday and many establishments were closed. We saw that Il Bacco was open and decided to enjoy a nice Italian meal. When we arrived, the restaurant was full and we had not reserved. The person in charge of seating apologized and told us that there would be space later, around 45 minutes. A little disappointed, because the atmosphere seemed good and the dishes very appetizing, we left the restaurant with the intention of finding something else in the city. We stood in front of the establishment doing our internet research for a while. Suddenly the lady responsible for placement came up to us outside and asked if we still wanted to eat at Bacco; she told us that customers were going to leave. We of course agreed and got set up. We were served like kings by very courteous and professional staff. The food was really delicious and we had a great time. Well done and thank you to the whole team for your commitment and the desire to make the customer feel unique and comfortable. A big thank you also to the owner who came to greet us at the table and with whom we were able to discuss the quality of his cuisine and the kindness of his staff.

Unfortunately there were only a few parking spaces in front of the door, toilets were clean. Despite the fact that the seating was very tight, there were no free tables left that were not reserved. Exactly for this reason there are deductions, I like to have some privacy, I don't like it when the staff squeeze in behind me 10 times. Another absolute no-go was watching TV loudly on the smartphone at the neighboring table, and no one from the staff dared to stop this. In contrast, almost all of the servants talked to these guests, whoever they may have been. Our pizzas were crispy, but rather bland and tasteless. Our service was positive, she served us quickly and quickly. All in all, there are other pizzerias with better tasting food and, above all, more privacy. I'm happy for Bacco if it's going so well, I've tried it out and for me it's no longer worth another visit.

Were there last night. Fast service, very friendly staff. Food was good, 1x salad, 2x pizza, 1x tomato soup, 1x children's plate. There would have been 5 stars if the 1.5l bottle of apple spritzer hadn't cost CHF 14.50...

Asked for a table and was seated. Table was set without napkins. Didn't ask for an aperitif or drinks, the waiter disappeared. Waited a quarter of an hour, nothing happened. The people at the table next door had finished eating where we came and were sitting in front of empty plates the whole time. Then we left. My question is, why don't you take as many guests as you can entertain? I don't have to go there anymore...

Even the greeting 5 minutes before reservation was relatively rude. We were sent out again because there was no space available yet. The pizzas were great. But the service left something to be desired as after the meal we didn't ask once if we wanted coffee or dessert. In addition, rearranging the tables was more important to the staff than delivering the ordered bill. Unfortunately, I get the impression of mass processing where people want to have the tables free again as quickly as possible.

Quantity over quality: I've been to Bacco in Brunnen three times now and each time the service was unfortunately unsatisfactory. I wanted to give the restaurant 3 chances because everyone can have a bad day but unfortunately you didn't convince me. The restaurant is really crowded at peak times on the weekends. I am happy for you if you can receive a lot of customers, especially in these difficult times. Nevertheless, for me the ambience suffers when the few waiters are just stressed and the room is really hot and you're sweating. Due to the large number of guests, we had to wait about 30 minutes before we could order dessert (despite repeated friendly reminders). When paying, the waiter was extremely stressed and our colleague, who has lived here for a year, was treated racistly. At the end, like the last two times, we unfortunately didn't get a "thank you" or "have a nice evening!" said. You just ran away. I'm sure the waiter was just stressed and we don't take it personally. But that's what I mean by quantity over quality. The service suffers greatly... It was the same on my other two visits to Bacco. They wanted to get rid of us as quickly as possible so that the places would become available. After the last bite of pizza, the plate is immediately dragged away, a dessert is offered, and if the answer is no, the bill is brought. You don't feel so welcome as a guest... The food itself is good. Really. That's why not one star. But for me the ambience and the service are just as important and for me this is not true for you. Therefore, I will avoid your restaurant in the future, but I wish you all the best for the future. :) PS: I think it would be great if the Pasta Trio declared that the cream sauce was WITH ham. I don't eat meat and I thought it was a shame that I had to sort out the meat and put it aside. Not because it was time-consuming, but simply because it is unnecessary throwing away food and this could be communicated quite easily :).

We have been here several times and enjoyed their tasty Italian dishes. Never been disappointed. Friday evening the ossobucco di cinghiale even topped my experiences. The recommended Merlot San Giovese went well with it. My partner's sminuzzato di capriolo was also delicious. Well done indeed.
