Bäckerei Chilestägli in Arth

We actually live in the city of Zug, but every now and then we make a special trip to Arth for the Chilestägli. Especially if they have their Christmas and Easter exhibition on the first floor. Yesterday afternoon we were there again and were served by a really friendly woman. She was very friendly and took the time to explain everything to us and then wrapped the Easter bunnies so beautifully for us. We would like to expressly thank this woman for her cool and helpful nature.

The pastry shop is very beautiful and offers a variety of products that are really interesting to look at. The dessert I tasted, despite being filled with a quality cream, was very stringy and almost old, the coffee was also terrible.

Very fine bread; World class yeast nut croissants. Unfortunately, at lunchtime there are often no more hearty rolls left and unfortunately, one or two people forget to pack something that they paid for. And unfortunately you often only notice this when you get home.

As a former confectioner, I was completely thrilled. Unique cakes, chocolates and fruit bread are addictive. Everything looks very nice. Prepared with a lot of love. I've seen a lot of confectioneries. But none was better!

One of the very few artisanal shops (bakery) that is open almost all year round including Sundays. Especially the fact that you can buy freshly baked bread on Sunday morning is not a small feat in this area. I got there for the bread and keep coming back for more.

Unfortunately, for about a month now I've found the bread to be too dry and no longer taste as good as before. What has recently surprised me is the rough and loud tone - probably from the bakery - which can be heard all the way to the counter!!

The bakery has the best, super fine Zug cherry cake. It has 4 small tables for drinking coffee. And the coffee is also very good.

Products are always top! Service friendly and motivated. I have noticed that some employees are handling products without gloves, even after working the checkout where they come into contact with money. No go...

The best bread in Switzerland! It's not just me who says this, but also experts and the audience. The house bread is extremely fine and full of flavor. The Chnusper bread is the slightly longer baked version of this. Always excellent sweet pastries, seasonal and fresh. Very large selection of bread/rolls. The service is without exception friendly, competent and courteous, just the way you want it! Attention: closed on Mondays.

I've only heard good things so far and decided to get fresh croissants in the morning this week, but apparently some (about 50%) of them were very hard and probably from the day before. Nothing works... what a disappointment... and embarrassing when you have guests.
