Great baker, friendly staff, fine sandwiches (especially the meter sandwich on Saturdays). A café with seating is also integrated. There is also fine ice cream and confectionery. The bakery pizza that is sometimes available is also very tasty.

Huttwil is spoiled with two excellent bakeries/pastry shops, for me the main advantage of Lienhards is the opening hours on Sundays.

Friendly service, plenty of choice even at 5:30 p.m. Only the café corner is a bit cramped, but with several people it quickly becomes cozy.

We like to drive 45 minutes to this bakery - it's always worth it for this fine cake, which is simply delicious.

My partner and I are actually big fans of this bakery. However, we recently discovered that they use free-range eggs, at least for their sandwiches. We find this a bit disappointing and it simply lags behind today's times, where animal-friendly husbandry and sustainability are becoming increasingly important. We expect such a popular local bakery to not only focus on regional products, but also on animal-friendly/species-appropriate products. Then we ask ourselves where the meat comes from...

From bread to chocolate, everything your heart desires.

By far the best bakery in the entire Oberaargau/Emmental region. Real craftsmanship is still practiced here. Starting with the breads, which are baked to perfection and shine in terms of appearance, texture, smell and of course taste. The paillasse and rocker bread are among my all-time favorites. The sandwich selection is also hard to beat in terms of variety and quality. A chicken curry sandwich for lunch and the day is saved. On hot summer days, we recommend using the large selection of ice cream and a delicious coffee. Here's something for every taste! I would particularly like to highlight the young or young-at-heart, friendly and always committed team, which serves and advises its customers with a lot of love and humor. It goes without saying that all of these high quality products come at a price.

Fantastic ice-cream! Found their ice-cream first by the local swimming pool and the next day went the main store to try a wider variety of flavors. Each of the five flavors we tried where amazing! Creamy with a strong natural taste. Definitely recommend their various nut flavored ice-creams as well as the alcohol-added Tiramisu and Baily's Irish Cream.

Great products, staff partly very friendly, partly unfriendly and unmotivated

The saleswoman yesterday, Saturday, did not shine with either customer focus or friendliness. She was rather grumpy and anything but put together, you can feel and see her displeasure. Her urgent manner is also counterproductive; she didn't give us any time to examine the offer. Plus, it's a little petty to ask for 10 cents for a bag when you've spent over CHF 50 and the counter is full of products that you can't all take with you in your hand. It's a shame, last time we had a more upbeat saleswoman and we had positive memories of the bakery and that's why we came back. It's a shame, because the products are great, but the fun of buying and the desire to come back were reduced. We will probably go straight to the bakery in Wasen im Emmental the next time we are in the region, there is the warmth, the time taken... and the sack included.

Since the staff change, you are hardly or not greeted at all when you enter the store. It's a shame because the products on offer are very good.

The staff are super friendly, the bread can be kept for several days without any loss of quality, the cakes and tarts are super tasty and never dry and the ice cream is also super tasty and can only be recommended.
