As vegetarians, we had to listen to how vegetarians were insulted at the local table level. And reported on the "heroic deed" of giving a vegetarian a non-vegetarian sauce. People thought it was funny. What was sad was that one of the people involved then disappeared into the back room. So probably an employee. Disrespectful.

Walking around Saas-Fee, we were looking for something simple and local. And good. We were not disappointed. The sandwiches were fresh and very reasonably-priced. The service was welcoming. The Mandelschnitte was light and not too sweet - and really good! And to top it off - deep in the Rhone Valley at 2500 m., Italian-quality coffee.

Really great bakery! We ordered a gluten-free cake with a personalized inscription from Backstübli and were extremely satisfied. Ms. Lehner was clearly happy to do the job and implemented our wishes lovingly and carefully. Thank you very much for that!

Crown of Kings dry and a little pasty, no better than Migros (but significantly more expensive!). And frankly, the little white plastic bean from the 70s, for that price it's sad (not to mention that there was no more crown 👑).

Best place in town for baked goods and fresh sandwiches. It also invites you to have a coffee there. The locals come there, which is always a good sign
