Simply always a great evening in Bad Balgach. We love the great service and of course the food is incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is really cozy and even in summer the terrace is great with a wonderful view! Always happy to come back!

The perfect place for foodies! The Bad Balgach restaurant impresses in every respect. Extraordinarily good food that was carefully thought out and prepared with a lot of love. The atmosphere is beautiful and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The boss kindly showed us the wine cellar and the other rooms in which private and company celebrations can be held. A really beautiful place with the perfect mix between modern and antique. I can really recommend the restaurant to anyone who would like to spend a wonderful evening. We would definitely like to come back.

We have had the most pleasant experience in the beautiful Bad Balgach residence! Not only did we delight in the unsurpassed quality and flavor of its excellent cuisine, but we also enjoyed warm treatment and personalized attention! A royal service from Chef Bernardo and our host Jaqueline.

Shortly before the end of the year we were able to enjoy a wonderful culinary experience in a cozy atmosphere. The service was perfect. An enjoyable end to the year that couldn't have been better.

Dinner with fried zander, very tasty and “Coq au Vin”, seasoned a little too lightly for my taste. Starter of nut salad, excellent. There is a small deduction for the staff who are not always attentive. Come again.

As always, it was delicious - thanks for spoiling us and see you next time...

My husband surprised me with dinner at Bad Balgach for my birthday, and it was a wonderful evening. The food was of the highest quality, the service was very competent and attentive, but never intrusive. It is also very appreciative that Mr. Schützelhofer personally stops by every table and exchanges a few words with the guests. My personal highlight (besides the Balik salmon) was a small table fireworks display on the occasion of my birthday, which was served to me with dessert. We can fully recommend the restaurant - not just for birthday surprises :-)

I can only recommend Bad Balgach by Schützelhofer and will definitely come back and enjoy the great ambience.

Business Dinner that turned out to be a real culinary experience. "Stundenei" as starter, "Seezunge" main course and "Cheese Cake" as dessert. Very balanced dishes that were also a visual inspiration. Service polite and flawless. Highly recommended!

We were able to spend a very nice evening on the tastefully furnished terrace. This was done with high-quality dishes, all of which were perfectly seasoned and creatively presented to be very pleasing to the eye.

Absolutely top class The ambience, service and food are at the top level. Only a few little things like a greeting from the kitchen were missing. But we were there at lunchtime - so I can't judge the evening service. The host took the time to briefly greet each guest, absolutely top class, keep it up. Here we are at star level. I'm curious how long It goes until the testers discover Bad Balgach. Price/performance is right for me for what is on offer!

16 points Gault Millau! Now it was really high time that we finally put aside our Corona rigidity and reserved a table at BB by Schützelhofer. Said - done - enjoyed! It was really excellent from A to Z and (unfortunately) I don't know of any other location in the Rhine Valley that comes close. Already after the friendly greeting - which was not attempted, but of course warm - you feel welcome as a guest. The restaurant, with its rather purist interior and great attention to detail, impresses with its harmony. We don't cook here, we compose here - and do it brilliantly! On our next stay we would like to delve deeper into the wine list. The Rheintaler taxi company is also happy about that :-). Many thanks to the entire team for this great evening!

In the meantime I am a guest for the third time. Each time it has gotten even better in terms of service and taste. The atmosphere is very pleasant and timeless for me. Given the effort required, the price seems reasonable to me, but still on the upper level. It's nice that restaurants like this still exist and that there are operators who also staff the restaurant. Keep it up - with moderation and purpose! Good luck!

Bad Balgach is a gem! The ambience is very inviting and charming. The service is very attentive and the food is absolutely fantastic – true hosts with passion! We spent a romantic evening in Bad Balgach. But there is also enough space for larger groups. I am looking forward to the next time!

Sooo delicious - an unforgettable evening! Sensational cuisine, great menu, extensive wine selection and super-friendly staff. The flair of the building, the rooms, the wine cellar, the cigar lounge - unforgettable and absolutely recommended. The hosts Bernd and Jaqui often come by the table in person. Sensational restaurant, culinary art at the highest level. Very friendly staff, great wine list. Top gastronomy lived and run by Jackie and Bernd - an enrichment for the Rhine Valley gastronomy - a visit is worth it, a must for every gourmet fan.

In my opinion, Bad Balgach has been by far the best restaurant in the Rhine Valley since it reopened! It is the address for foodies. I've been there several times now and it's always amazing! The price performance is 100% right here. I can only recommend everyone to go there themselves!

Top service, very fine food and beautiful location. We were able to celebrate a wedding here and enjoyed the whole evening. The hosts are also very friendly and open-minded, which contributed to a good atmosphere.

I happened to drive past Bad Balgach today and was happily surprised that the traditional house had found new tenants! Finally! I just looked at the menu...so many grammatical errors, layout inconsistencies, exaggerated prices for the down-to-earth Rhine Valley. Where are the local products, the personality of the region? I give them 1.5 years...

Nice place. We ate fillet tips stroganoff with nüdeli without a vegetable side dish. Was good. But the price is a bit too exaggerated, despite the fillet tips. Conclusion: price performance needs to be improved.

As with Paul's in Widnau, the extremely high standard will be continued at the new location. Everything is fine and top!!!!!. We'd love to come back.
