I had the pleasure of visiting Banhofli Restaurant and was very impressed from start to finish. The atmosphere was welcoming and elegant, the staff extremely attentive and friendly. The highlight was definitely the food. Each dish was expertly prepared and presented. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the use of quality ingredients was evident. I was particularly impressed by the creativity and sophistication that goes into each dish. The service was first class; the staff was always available to make recommendations and ensure everything was happening to our satisfaction. The wine list had an excellent selection of accompanying drinks that perfectly complemented the taste experience. Overall, my visit to Banhofli was an unforgettable experience that I can fully recommend. I look forward to returning soon and enjoying more culinary delights. Cool, friendly and friendly staff. The food is delicious and the portions are large, so you don't have to worry about leaving hungry. It's also very comfortable. I can only recommend eating here.

Not recommendable! Unfriendly and grim, greedy service. I didn't feel welcome. The prices are overpriced. The quantities are far too small, the quality is poor and the service is unfortunately a disaster. I think I'm finally a non-bought, honest reviewer here. I can't understand the good reviews (I tested the restaurant 3 times and left it at one star). The cordon bleu was watery, after cutting it water flowed out instead of cheese. The meat inside was dry. Only the french fries were good. When I asked for ketchup, a mini-portion was grimly placed on the table. My stomach also started bubbling after eating, as if the hygiene somehow left something to be desired...or was it just poor food quality? I think they don't seem to find it necessary to be friendly because enough people come anyway... I avoid it and prefer to eat where the quality and friendliness justify the price

Certainly a little expensive since it's in Switzerland, but the boss is super nice and the quality is on the plate. I will return there with great pleasure.

I've been going there for 35 years. Everything is very good, fresh and the service is very friendly.

We have always enjoyed coming here since I was a child. Always very good food and excellent service. These are just 2 of the reasons why we keep coming back, sometimes as a family but also alone. This is a prime example of how a restaurant should be run.

I've been a few times in this place, last time I was there with my partner we spent 15m at the terrace without anyone to attend us, the waiters looked at us a few times and they didn't come to ask our orders. Its unbelievable how it is possible they can't attend us if they only had 2 tables occuped inside the restaurant. Nice food - terrible service.

Very good Italian restaurant with a wide variety of Italian dishes, but also other delicacies. I had the Angus fillet with prawns, porcini mushrooms, risotto and spinach from the summer menu. The meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the risotto was creamy as it should be and the spinach leaves were fresh and well seasoned. I'm looking forward to the other dishes next time😉 Very friendly and attentive service.

Very central location, right on the 10 tram at the Therwil Zentrum station. Nice and quiet atmosphere, very friendly decent service. Price/performance ratio is good, the food was very tasty. There was also a greeting from the kitchen. I also liked that there were always good breaks between courses, very nice! So you don't just feel like a number being fed, but like a real guest. Everything was great, highly recommended

Very great atmosphere, friendly, attentive, motivated and helpful employees. Very good cuisine, only a few parking spaces, but the tram 10 stop is right in front of the house.

Excellent location directly behind the Therwil Zentrum tram station. Still very quiet. Very large, sunny, cozy outdoor area with sun protection, which is opened at dusk in dry weather. The outside area was almost fully booked from around 7:30 p.m. on a Saturday evening, but emptied just as quickly around 10 p.m. Staff very friendly, attentive and quick. Our consumption (2 people): 2 x Insalata valeriana con uovo sodo (nut salad with egg), 1l mineral water, 2 x Piccata milanese con spaghetti al pomodoro (veal piccata with spaghetti in tomato sauce), 1 x 0.5l table wine Primitivo (no large selection), 1 x Tira misu (original presentation in a glass; cream supposedly cream/mascarpone mixture, although presumably only traces of mascarpone were used; I didn't notice the usual liqueur/coffee). SPECIAL NOTE: The choice of plates for the main course seems unfortunate to me. At first glance I thought the plate had been decorated with some kind of powder. When that wasn't confirmed, I thought the plate was dirty. But my counterpart had the same 'picture' on his plate. A 'clumsy, irritating' motif, by no means original. Total price: around CHF 165.00. From what I remember, the prices on the very large menu do not correspond to those on the downloadable menu on the website. All in all: I wouldn't go to this restaurant because of the food. The location and the great outdoor area make this Italian restaurant a restaurant that I like to visit every now and then.

Communication between service and kitchen not working? Ordered spagetti carbonara and told the staff that I would like the pasta to be soft. What came next was the opposite: super hard al dente. So I gave it back and they promised me that they would now make it softer. I waited another 15 minutes until the food finally came. And it was exactly as hard as the first one!! I will never go there again...

Had dinner again after a long time. Everything was very nice except for the Cordon Bleu. Maybe under time pressure? Didn't meet my expectations. Even the free coffee and the Lemocino are of no use.

Unfortunately it rained, but one of the superiors was able to use the special. Didn't handle the situation well, became unfriendly. Was only here for the second time. My waiter was perfect and friendly, what his boss??? not true. Probably not a third time.

The food tastes really good, the service is attentive and the prices are fair. In summer you can sit outside, very pleasant atmosphere.

The food was very well cooked, you could tell that everything was very fresh. The only point of criticism was the salad was so fresh that it was still alive. I showed the animal and unfortunately there was no apology or small gesture from the kitchen. I know that can happen but I was hoping for a little compensation.. The tiramisu had a bit too much mascarpone for my taste but that's a matter of taste...

Good food, but extremely unfriendly service - you probably know who I mean! No smile, no eye roll when asked a question, no bon appetit, no thank you at the end, no goodbye when leaving the restaurant, nothing. How can you recommend a restaurant like this and why should you come back? Certainly not us - it's a shame, things used to be different!

Went there for lunch for the first time today. Very friendly, prompt service, tasted very good. Salad dressing chosen to mix yourself: tasty olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Come back!

Danger!!!!!! Danger! We were deducted: The last time me and my business colleagues ate here was a disaster. We ordered the lunch menu in advance. When we got there, the food only arrived after about 30 minutes. The salad was completely forgotten (except for the person who came later and was waiting for the main course) even though it was part of the ordered menu. When we were finished with the main course, the waiter basically forced the dessert on us even though we didn't want it anymore. When the bill was thrown on our table, we only saw the increased prices, which were different than those stated on the website. When we asked the waiter about the problem, he said that the card online wasn't correct and that it would be replaced next month. Therefore I give a warning here!!! out for everyone who wants to eat at the Bahnhöfli Therwil restaurant. Please take care of yourself and make sure that the same thing doesn't happen to you as it did to us.

Was super nice. It's been a long time since I had a pizza with such good, not too thick dough and fine Parma ham/rocket. The service was very friendly and humorous 😁 Worth a visit :)

Were there over lunch with a group of around 16 people. Everyone ordered different dishes. Service still worked well. Menupizza Tonno was very good. Dessert (small tiramisu) was distributed to everyone and was very good. Boss came personally and went out of his way to look after us. It was a great lunchtime chat.

I've been enjoying eating here for years. The service is courteous, competent and friendly. The food is very good, so far I have only ever had one of the very good lunch menus. Well balanced selection, salad or soup is included.

As a Bernese, I can only say: an insider tip for anyone traveling towards Basel! A detour is definitely worth it! Come back, take the tram almost to the restaurant!

Great Italy restaurant. Well managed for many years. Has regional Italian charm! Particularly recommended: Spaghetti Orientale, but it is not on the menu...

We ordered starters - these were very good (salads). We then waited a full 40 minutes for the main course. Guests who came after us were served before us. Unfortunately the main course was a disappointment. The homemade pasta was heavy and “doughy”. We both had stomach pains afterwards. Service was friendly - even if we waited a long time.

Watery tomato soup with a mountain of whipped cream; Cordon Bleu overcooked; Pasta way too creamy, too. The waiter pulls a face as if the world ends tomorrow. Somewhat enigmatic to me why this place is so popular ?? Come again: no.

Everything almost perfect. The meal is definitely worth it. However, it also costs accordingly. Unfortunately we were surprised with some prices on the bill that weren't on the menu. (e.g. Caprese 5.50 more expensive)

Nice restaurant, seems well organized and clean. The service is very attentive and friendly. All dishes ordered came to the table at the same time and were attractively presented. My codon bleu with porcini mushrooms and risotto tasted very good and the portion was more than enough. Conclusion: highly recommended.

Been there a few times. Yesterday the lunch menu was a bit bland and the spaghetti was no longer aldente. Otherwise I was always more than satisfied and would be happy to come back.

The service was friendly and attentive. But the pizza calzone had a lot of water or juice leaking out of it that the dough on the bottom of the pizza became so wet. It wasn't the egg, but rather juice or water. The taste was okay.

The service leaves a lot to be desired: Since the new head waiter came here it's not like it used to be. I burned my sweater with a candle and the head waiter didn't respond. I showed him that the candles were in the wrong place. Was here again. Wrong wine on the bill with a side dish was saved at a plate price of Fr. 42.00! see photo it's not worth it and a second helping of pasta costs about the same Fr. 7.--! on the bill without any information and waited for over half an hour and the rest of the food was then cold. This will be our last time here for a long time.
