Banfi's in St. Moritz

me and my family have been going to St.Moritz for many years. Everytime we go there we have to visit banfis, it‘s a must! The food is amazing and the stuff aswell.

Absolutely amazing restaurant. Fantastic food and service. The chef came out and spoke to the guests. His wife served and was so pleasant, friendly and made one feel at home. The burger and cordon bleu were delicious. A great place. We will be back!

Great vegiburger was great today

You don't have to say more if you combine a day trip with a 1/2 tax savings day ticket from Lake Constance with the SBB and RhB, and go to Banfi to eat and after the fine gnocchi with sage butter and sensational cordon bleu, finish it off again with a special dessert and a full stomach started the journey home. We will be back.

Banfi's pleasantly surprised us with the quality of their food. Simple dishes, but the quality is superlative. I recommend cordon blue and for dessert the house sambayon. Reasonable prices. Excellent option.

Top restaurant in St. Moritz Bad with extremely friendly hosts. The dishes we ordered were all world class in taste and finesse. Our enthusiasm for such a great restaurant is limitless! I unreservedly recommend Banfi's in St. Moritz Bad and hereby award it a celebratory world-class 5 stars.

Been there once last year, returned this year again, we didn’t finish ordering when we got lectured by the Chef on what do next time we show up 2 instead of 3!! We lost our appetite. Not going back.

Really welcoming place. Just the right size to always feel welcomed by the managers. What about Luigi...Chef and musical entertainer as he has a past as a professional musician and therefore delights (when possible) customers with his warm voice and the sound of his super instruments. It looks like a small bar, with not many seats, some simple tables and chairs, and the overall decoration style gives people a relaxed feeling. The tagsteller at noon is very cheap and good. It’s hard to imagine that a store with such a high rating can have such a cost-effective set menu. The chef pays great attention to seasoning. The risotto and fish we ordered tasted great. The waiter and chef would come to ask about the situation from time to time. Pay attention to guests' opinions. You can park your car in the garage of the nearby coop supermarket. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Very hospitable and you immediately feel welcome! The food was excellent and so was the boss's wine recommendation! The dessert and the digestive were also perfect! Price performance is top! Keep it up! Any time!

One of the best vegan burgers we ever had. The shrimp fettuccine (don't remember the exact name of the dish) was amazing too. Awesome service, lovely place. We told the lady who was serving us that the food is amazing and the chef came out to meet us. He even came again when we were leaving. Overall an amazing experience. Must try if you are there.

The filet was excellent! Plus the fries with the house-made seasoning salt. Plus an excellent red wine. The service is very friendly and personable. Casual atmosphere with a feel-good guarantee. The boss even made time for a little chat. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately no second chance. We had reserved a table because we were looking forward to trying the restaurant based on the consistently positive reviews. Unfortunately I had to cancel at short notice (5 minutes beforehand) for family reasons. The reaction was so unfriendly that we will no longer come here. Unfortunately, discussing with a guest that you should actually charge something because of the loss of sales and at too short notice is not possible. It was a reservation for two and not six, so I could still begin to understand that. Therefore, the rating is based solely on the unfriendly experience on the phone without taking into account the ambience and quality of the food, which is supposed to be very good

We really fell in love with this restaurant, both for its cuisine and for its welcome. All the dishes we tried were delicious and beautifully presented. There is something for everyone (vegetarians, fish and seafood or meat lovers). The products are of high quality and freshness, with optimal cooking. As a starter, we particularly enjoyed the soups and salads (excellent homemade sauces, served on the side), with a big crush on the seafood salad (for me), and the carne salada (for my husband). As a main course, the sea bass fillets, as well as the seafood spaghetti, are remarkable! The same goes for homemade noodles with boletus and shrimp and penne arrabbiata. It's quite simple: we enjoyed what we ordered! We will definitely come back next year both to see the owners again, who put their heart and soul into honoring their customers, but also for the salt-crusted sea bass that we did not have the chance to taste this year (p/ two people, requiring reservation 1-2 days in advance).

Nice little restaurant, nice decor. The service was great, top notch. The minestrone with Graubünden barley to die for “too bad I don’t have the recipe😉” the burger and fish, a treat. Great place , wonderful quality and nice variety of different cusines. Regardless of what you will order, it will never go wrong with the nice touches of their chef. Highly recommended if you are looking for quality place in the city .

Food was incredibly good, fresh ingredients and filled with love. The owners cared about every single comment of the food, which proves how much they try to perfect their menu and how much they care about the place. The hospitality was also amazing and portions were very big! 5/5 Recommend!

Every item we had in this small cosy restaurant was excellent. They served a welcome dish (unpictured) of an omelette with delicious house made sweet curry sauce and small slice of toast. Highly recommend the pasta with prawns (bottom right of image). Pasta was fresh and prawns were springy 😍. The veal escalope with porcini mushroom sauce (left of image) is also highly recommended. Veal was extremely tender and mushroom sauce was creamy and flavourful. Served with a side of country fries (unpictured) we enjoyed so much we ordered a second serving. Octopus dish (middle of picture) was served with lemon-y sauce and tasted very fresh. Beef bolognese was also very well done. Did not have to reserve/queue as we came during an off peak period and the whole town was very quiet (late May). Overall enjoyed our dinner very much! Note that tap water costs 5 francs (but is free flow).

Great food and really good service. You can feel that the owners take pride in what they do. We went there in a group of 4 and initially were thrown by the design and the varied menu (the curries), but trusted the google reviews - and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and the chef even came out personally to ask if the Tagliata was cooked to our liking. Also they have a massive selection of Grappas which we didn’t try.

The food was fresh, very decent portions for the price and most importantly it’s delicious! The menu is quite varied yet they really excel at all of the dishes. The service is wonderful, we received a little appetizer from the kitchen and even the chefs came out to make sure we were happy with all of our food! It was among one of the best cordon bleu’s I’ve ever had!

Craved for asian food and loved the thai curry!

The octopus and the sauce was my favorite out of the 3 dishes that we ordered, it was amazing and was a perfect combo with red wine 😌 cordon bleu and the fries were nice too!! The seafood pasta was fresh although a bit salty to our liking. I would probably go back to try the beef tartar.

On holiday in St. Moritz, searched for a highly recommended restaurant for my wife's special birthday. The positive reviews are totally accurate. This place is THE place to eat in St. Moritz. Staff amazing, only surpassed by the quality of the food. You must eat here, you will not be disappointed.

This is because the restaurant sign is not very conspicuous, so it may be a bit difficult to find. Everything freshly prepared. Very good service and cuisine. Advice from the boss personally. Good selection on the menu for every taste. Especially for grappa lovers, with excellent pleasures. If you're interested, just ask the boss how to get the grappa!

Small, but very nice family restaurant. Only a dozen or so tables, so make reservations. Very friendly staff and great food. Everyone in our group loved their meal. Chef started us out with a small tasting from the kitchen and our waitress had great drink and wine recommendations.

One of the nicest food in St Moritz. Sadly I couldnt dine in as the restuayrent was fully booked that evening. Decided to do a take away. Greatest decision I made before leaving St Moritz. The Spaghetti Mare was one the best spaghetti i have eaten and the cordon bleu was beautifully done.

We thought this was a very good meal and experience. The thai red curry was good. The service was lovely and helpful. After we expressed concerns when ordering about the heat of the curry the chef came out to check it was ok. However, the layout and decor need a serious rethink and upgrade.

An exceptionally good restaurant. Very friendly staff and high quality food. Even though the rooms are a bit small, we felt very comfortable and enjoyed the burgers. I didn't know the vegi burger before and I definitely recommend it. The greeting from the kitchen at the beginning was also a nice surprise. They have a lot of customers and we had to wait few minutes before waiter prepared a table for us. They were very nice and helpful (we have had some questions about food). The food itself was incredible. My Thai red curry with mushrooms and chicken was the best meal I had during our trip to Switzerland. My partner ordered a meal of the day. It was delicious too.

It's impossible to go to St. Moritz and not pass by Banfi's. All the dishes offered are made with fresh ingredients and freshly prepared, using Luigi's exceptional recipes. Nothing is left to chance in this restaurant and the end result is something incredibly good! True congratulations to Luigi, Daniela and the whole team.

Excellent dinner, great service. We were a family of 9. The kids had their own menu. Loved the local Moscato, Tuna Salad, Toblerone Mousse, Crème Brûlée ..glad we had our finale meal here!

A place away from the hotels up hill, but so worth the walk or taxi ride! Cozy place, friendly staff, DELICIOUS FOOD...what else can you ask for?! Actually SURPASSED overpriced restaurants with snobby service in other restaurants in St-Moritz... Really happy to have discovered this gem in St-Moritz!

A direct hit! We have been coming to St. Moritz for many years and this year we tried Banfi's. Normally we tend to go to more upscale and stylish places. However, since the Banfis reviews were so good, we thought it might be worth it. When we entered the restaurant, we first thought we had made the wrong decision because the ambience wasn't quite what we expected, even though the restaurant itself is very nice. But what came next was completely unexpected and great! It seems like we've hit the jackpot! We have never had such an excellent beef tartare (worthy of a star restaurant) and the Ultimate Burger was a poem, everything fresh and with a homemade, crispy bun. What also impressed us was the love and commitment with which Luigi and Daniela cook and entertain their guests. Definitely more upscale than in many trendy bars. We will definitely come back to try all the other dishes! As I said, they could definitely still work on the furnishings and the ambience, less chic decorations and maybe fabric tablecloths and a candle on the table? Thank you Luigi and Daniela for a successful evening with you!

The food is very good. Visited this place couple of nights ago. Had the carrot soup and seafood salad. Delicious! The staff very friendly. The chef engages with the guests. The only critical feedback would be the ambiance. The place needs to look more alive.
