I've always eaten there regularly and was always satisfied, but right after Christmas I thought I'd go out to eat and decided on Pad Thai. I was there quite early at 11 a.m. but thought I would wait a while. My food arrived exactly 20 minutes later and a few bites were ok, but as soon as I ate more I noticed that the pasta was old and I certainly didn't touch the chicken because it looked strange. I went back to work very disappointed with an empty stomach. It's a shame that it had to happen like this... I won't come there anymore

I have been a guest at Banhow for 6 years and have never been disappointed with the food, it is also delicious. However, last night we had to wait an hour for our food, although other customers were served later, got their food 5 minutes later and were out again almost 30 minutes before us. This was the case for several other people. Guests with take-away were given a discount if they were slightly late. We couldn't even hear a 'sorry' after 1 hour. Other reviews claimed the food was served 'too quickly', which is what I could only hope for last night. It's a shame the owner isn't aware of his behavior, it wasn't very easy for him to communicate with us.

I was at Banhow with my boyfriend today and it was definitely the last time! The food was delicious, but we had to wait an hour for it and unlike other customers (who waited less long) we didn't get an apology or anything like that. Do you always have to complain first so you can get an apology or attention? Apparently yes, we now know that.

We had been craving a good Thai meal since we relocated from London. This is number one on trip advisor for the area and other reviews on here are good but the whole experience was terrible. I am not sure I was at the same restaurant as the roast reviewers. The floor wasn't clean. Nothing felt clean. The food came out with the chicken curry having pineapple instead of the prawn. The "beef" is not recognisable as beef. It is something processed and chewy. At first we thought it was raw but it is just not real meat. The rice was bland and overcooked. The spring rolls were burnt and the chicken satay was pink inside. We really didn't enjoy anything about the meal or experience and would definitely not recommend it to anyone. It was also 120 Francs for the displeasure.
