After several visits during our stays in Ticino, this hazy one was definitely our last. After we sat on the veranda and waited several minutes for service, the waitress came and asked us in no uncertain terms to change seats. This is reserved for future guests. There was nothing posted and the place was practically empty. This kind of customer unfriendliness is not acceptable to us. Apparently it won't be necessary in this situation.

Nice location right on the lake. We were there two days in a row to treat ourselves to a drink right by the lake. The waitress, who apparently worked the lunch shift that week, was a disaster! Snooty, ignorant, listless, etc. The fact that she didn't push me off the chair because it wasn't exactly in the row was everything. When we were finally able to order and finally got the drinks, she didn't even look at me, just like when I wanted to ask for the bill. I've never finished my drink so quickly. After a long wait, we went straight to the counter to pay and avoided this place for the rest of the days. If you're hungry I recommend to share a Focaccia with your friends while drinking (it costs only 8chf!) For sure when in Ascona, I'll come back for a whisky sour during the sunset!
