We had our company Christmas party last night in the banquet hall of the Baslerhof Restaurant in Bettingen and we were thrilled. The newly renovated hall is beautifully done and offers a great ambience. Thanks to the clever separation of rooms with the help of thick, sturdy curtains, our area was nicely shielded from the rest of the restaurant, which meant we were able to have conversations, laugh and even give a short speech without disturbing the other guests. The service staff was very friendly and always attentive and accommodating. The courses were served so that we could all eat together without anyone having to wait. The quality of the food was excellent, whether it was the aperitif, the starter, the main course or the dessert. It should be noted that the restaurant was completely booked, which was noticeable neither in the service nor in the food. The crowning finale was the delicious drinks that we were able to enjoy at the bar adjacent to the banquet hall. A thoroughly successful evening that we would repeat at any time. The Baslerhof in Bettingen is definitely worth a visit.

We celebrated my grandmother's 90th birthday in the barn right next to the Baslerhof. We ordered the catering from Baslerhof. We had a great time, Mr. Kapral and his team looked after us wonderfully and the food was great. We are already looking forward to our next visit to the Baslerhof

The visit was very disappointing. We wanted to go out for ice cream with grandma for Mother's Day. We were finally asked to leave the restaurant because they supposedly only eat the lunch menu on Mother's Day. The staff was very cheeky and said that they supposedly had to cancel 60 people because of our reservation (there were 6 of us). We were also told that we were being cheeky and that the behavior was not tolerable.

We ate here with the Basel Percentage Book. The gentleman on the phone who greeted us later was super friendly and we can also say the same about the rest of the staff. We each took a starter, which was served fairly quickly and was very tasty. Unfortunately we waited a very, very long time for the main course (I think in the end the main course came almost 1 hour and 15 minutes after the starter). Even though we didn't ask and were generally very relaxed, the waitress apologized several times for the long wait, which we really appreciated. When the food came, the steak we ordered medium rare was completely cooked through and unfortunately we had to send it back. Two of us then ate once, the third waited another 10 minutes. All in all, of course it can happen and we weren't mad, but still a bit disappointed that we weren't even invited for a coffee or one of the drinks. We don't expect compensation for everything, but it was clear from the waitress' proactive apologies that she was also uncomfortable with HOW long we had to wait and that something went wrong. All in all, we found the prices for the portion sizes to be relatively high, but also very tasty and the restaurant and terrace offer a very nice atmosphere.

Wir kamen spontan um around 20 Uhr und wollten bei wechselhaftem Wetter draußen essen. Es wurde schön gedeckt und als es zu regnen begann, bekamen wir total freuendlich sofort einen Tisch drinnen. Wir bestellten Spargel Ragout und Cordon Bleu, eine Flasche Pinot noir (Hohle Gasse), ein Glas Weisswein vom Weingut Ricklin, Tee und Wasser. Das Esssn war sehr, sehr toll. Feine Pommes, knackiges Gemüse, tolles Cordon Bleu, Spargelragout auf den Punkt getroffen. Falls,es Verbesserungspotential gibt, dann etwas mehr Käse im Cordon Bleu. Und auf der Homepage wäre schön, wenn „über uns“ die Mitarbeiter zu sehen wären und was zur Geschichte des Restaurants statt die Menüs. Die Angestellten: Chef und Servicemitarbeiter haben wir sehr natürlich freundlich und authentisch iwahrgenommen. Wir haben uns einfach wohlgefühlt und waren ab der gastfreundlichen Art begeistert.
