Ambiance: Very stylish. Top! Service: Friendly and efficient. Food: Excellent. A creative selection of dishes that were fresh and tastefully prepared. I particularly liked the focus on organic products! Conclusion: Highly recommended. "Bay" offers great food, great service and a wonderful ambience. We enjoyed our Christmas dinner at Restaurant Bay and were completely thrilled! The menu was excellent, with a varied selection of delicious dishes. The quality of the food was first class, freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The service at the Bay restaurant was also outstanding. The staff were extremely accommodating and friendly and they really went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. The atmosphere was festive and inviting, which made for a perfect Christmas Eve. Overall, our experience at Restaurant Bay was first class. We look forward to returning and enjoying more of the exquisite cuisine and first-class service. We recommend!

The restaurant is very nicely decorated. A little hidden but not tragic. The Esseb was very good and very balanced. However, the meat was a little tough but the rest tasted very good!

Tucked away next to the art museum, this restaurant offers a cozy oasis. The food is very good, the service was quick and friendly. The steak is recommended. Good wine list. My only suggestion: it would be even better with a small bowl of Fleur de Sel along with the good meat.

The interior is very nice and the staff is very nice and can give you good advice (wine lovers will feel at home there). I had the venison shoulder and that's what I've always considered game eating, the meat is nice and tender, the sauce is awesome and homemade herb spaetzle always tastes good :). I definitely recommend everyone to have something to eat and drink there.

Even though the place is very glamorous, I had the bad luck, I want to call it that, that my food arrived super cold, "not lukewarm", cold!!, I ordered a cut (attached the photo) that should have arrived on time , and even the bed of potatoes arrived cold, I asked them to warm it up, and the waiter was always very kind, he returned with the food, but it was still cold, but at least not frozen anymore, but it wasn't even close to being warm, anyway, My partner ordered pork and that dish did arrive hot and delicious.. The drinks have a very affordable cost, the waiter is very friendly and offers wine recommendations, which we accepted and wow, what a good wine. I don't like to rate poorly, but it is necessary for restaurants to pay attention to those great details...

Rarely for so much money, eaten so badly. Food: The amuse bouch (?) consisted of two olives and a piece of watermelon, skewered on a toothpick. My tabbouleh as a starter was o.k. The organic beef flank steak, on the other hand, was rather bien cuit (I wasn't asked about the doneness); it lay on a rock-hard, dry pile. With the so-called spiced pear for dessert, I found small pieces of a hard, tasteless pear under a piece of chocolate (could be from Läderach) and above all a scoop of half-finished ice cream (16 francs). Drinks: The wine (the glass for 9 or 10 francs) was brought to the table, bottled. The water (8 francs per jug) was refilled twice without asking (24 francs). There was no bread for any course. Service/ambience: It was difficult to understand the unmotivated service because of the relatively loud continuous sound system. She also never asked about our well-being.

We ate (6 people) Saturday evening. The food was excellent, very pretty decoration. On the other hand, our waitress was unpleasant and not at all professional. We had the feeling of disturbing her. She even took the liberty of giving herself a tip of 10.-

You wouldn't suspect that the restaurant offers a very idyllic ambience behind the house. The food is very good and sometimes a bit unusual. The waitress was attentive and took time for a short chat.

In the Bay restaurant in Bern, every dish is a highlight that will be remembered for a long time thanks to its freshness and finesse. Looking at the menu triggers Fomo (fear of missing out). The dishes read too tempting - and that's exactly how they appear. The kitchen succeeds in showcasing the products' own taste well and underlines it with the use of herbs (or their essences) and spices. When we visited, the cod with basil sorbet got some crunch and nutty oriental notes from the dukkah; The risotto with salted lemon delighted with fruit-harmonious acidity, a perfect accompaniment to the chicken. Overall, a very relaxed dining experience at a high gastronomic level. Gladly again.

Great place. Super central, yet very quite - terasse is green and calm. The personnel know a lot about the wines and give good recommendations based on food. The food is delicious. The whole evening was amazing!

The team at Restaurant Bay does an excellent job of combining refreshingly varied and traditional flavors and conjuring them up on the plate. This motto extends from the starter to the dessert. The portions are served exactly the right size. The ingredients are regional, sustainable and of the highest quality. What deserves special mention is the carefully compiled wine list. It offers a great selection of top European wines at surprisingly affordable prices. The service is very friendly and at a very high level and the wine recommendation went perfectly with the food. The restaurant has comfortable chairs and is very aesthetically decorated inside and out, giving the food and wine the setting it deserves.

Overall it has very nice food: tagliatelle vere slightly underseasoned (to my personal taste), chicken on the other hand was delicious. The restaurant is a hidden gem in the city, I definitely recommend it!

A small menu with very careful dishes. An idyllic setting in a central location although a little out of the way. A stone's throw from the Museum of Fine Arts Interesting selection of wines. Dinner on the terrace. The tables are quite close together and that evening it was a little noisy. Not for confidential conversations therefore 😁 The service is very professional and fast, a bit American-style. From the photos, I imagined “nouvelle cuisine” style portions, but ultimately not at all. Generous portions. To improve the experience we could offer bread, and let the diner breathe between two courses. Curious to test seasonal variations...

Architecture and location are nice. The terrace is very nice, you feel like you are on a construction path in the tops of the trees. The highlight is the food. Unpretentious dishes with regional ingredients. At times you feel like you are in a traditional – very good – country inn, and at other times you feel like you are in the trendy fusion cuisine. The Persian tabbouleh for the starter was unobtrusive but tasty. I really enjoyed the flank steak on rammed meat and it was definitely enough. The combination of tradition, sustainability. Modernity and craftsmanship work well. The desserts were excellent and rounded off the plentiful yet light meal. The Tarte au Citron with organic crème fraîche and Frutiger meringue doesn't have to shy away from international comparison - only the base is a little too floury. Overall, the food was very satisfying and a well-rounded experience – something of the better in Bern. The service is courteous and approachable, but could come across as a bit more professional and lively. This certainly varies depending on the mood of the day and the operational schedule. I'm looking forward to the next encounter.

Beautiful terrace in the countryside above the Aare, still in the center, but like in another world. Very nice and attentive service. Salad, beef fillet and fish of the day (egli from Lake Murten) including side dishes were excellent. Spanish red wine goes well with both dishes. A good malt whiskey and espresso rounded everything off. - We'll definitely be back!

Perfect! Location was great as it’s only a few minute walk from old town and train station but being tucked away it’s also quiet and offers an easy get away from the noisier parts of town. The food was amazing with the chicken dish being one of the best I’ve ever had. And the service was beyond exceptional. This was one of the best dining experiences we had in Bern.

One of the most beautiful terraces in the city in summer and a very elegant and comfortable interior in cooler weather. Simple and balanced menus, quality and seasonal ingredients. It's not the most breathtaking restaurant in Bern, but it's always good to come here to recharge your batteries.

Business lunch with 23 people. Excellent service, from the aperitif to the dessert everyone enjoyed it, without exception, in a great atmosphere. A very successful evening, I can recommend it to groups at any time.

Incredible story: we are 18 colleagues, consume for 700.- (excellent meal by the way), divide the bill by 18 to simplify the collection, ... and the boss refuses to collect because everyone wanted to pay their 40. - according to your choice (card or cash). All this because the waiter would have spent 5 minutes going around the table to collect. A crazy story ! The boss tells us that no one has ever paid like that, and that everyone chooses to pay at once and that colleagues always arrange among themselves to reimburse each other among themselves. Too bad for the bad publicity, especially since each colleague came from a different canton.

Very innovative lunch concept. You choose between 3 basic pots and various ingredients, vegetarian or meat/fish. The quality is top and the price is fair at CHF 29. Nice atmosphere with a great view. A discovery for me - I will come back.

Beautifully hidden in the forest above the Aare and next to the art museum, you can immerse yourself in a cuisine that captivates all the senses. Eat; The menu is manageable and every dish is a feast for the palate. I have never eaten meat so perfectly cooked in years. ambience; Very comfortable chairs, simple table decorations and the warm, woody terrace paired with loungey house music invites you to linger. For sunny days there are large, beautiful awnings which are raised to provide protection and lie over the overall ambience. Service; Great, loving service, not intrusive, but always on hand and very prompt. Price-performance; That's true for me - I think an evening with two outstanding dishes and specially selected wine for this quality is very fair.

Today I (finally) got to eat at the Bay restaurant. The lunch menu is extremely intelligently designed because it is easy for the kitchen to implement and still offers the guest maximum choice. The meal was fun and boasted many healthy components and its uncomplicated and attractive presentation. Even a little greeting from the kitchen was not missed over lunch. The service was quick and friendly. The simple, modern architecture, the quiet furnishings and the green view allow guests to relax for a moment, even during a business lunch. I'm looking forward to my next visit, which will certainly take place in the evening... and I'm confident that I'll be able to give it a fifth star afterwards.

The plate was cold! There were missing ingredients and the duck was undercooked! The seat was under a beetle infestation! The only positive was that the PURCHASED butter was delicious.

Die Ambiente ist unglaublich schön. Moderner Stil geschickt mit rustikalem Wohlgefühl kombiniert. Das Essen ist fantastisch und exclusiv - decent und doch sehr geschmackvoll. Es wirkt romantisch „gluschtig“ einladen. Die Weinkarte ist eine wucht und auch die Preise sind für die Spitzenweine tief gehalten. Die bedienung ist ein blickfang. Die leute sind freundlich nett und stehen bereit, die gäste zu verwöhnen. Sie drängen sich nicht auf, sind jedoch immer sofort zur Stelle, wenn man sie braucht. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und nehmen sich für die Gäste Zeit. Wir haben noch etwas über das Weingebiet geplaudert und sogar über unserTCM Zentrum für Akupunktur. Dafür gibt es die Höchstzahl - 5 Sterne

Meine Freundin und ich haben gestern Samstagabend in einem stilvoll gestalteten Ambiente (dazu gehört auch der Service) hervorragend gegessen (und getrunken). Ein Lichtblick in der kargen Covid19-Zeit!

Leckeres Essen, gleichzeitig einfach und raffiniert. Das Lokal ist bis ins kleinste Detail liebevoll gestaltet. Ein wunderbarer Ort, um zu verweilen.

Ausgezeichnetes Essen, toller Service, super Ambiente. Und köstliche Drinks! Unglaublich empehlenswert.
