New café/bakery in Möhlin. Nicely decorated, food (snacks, desserts, pastries) are of top quality. Friendly service. We are regular guests of the café; can recommend it without hesitation. UPDATE: The website urgently needs an overhaul! You can't even find the opening times quickly.

Unfortunately 1 star is still too much. Staff forgets everything comes out multiple times. Brings the wrong food and so on. And that many times and I'm there a lot.no organized staff. But the prices are steep

Ate there for the 3rd time, each time the food (2x menus - something over-baked) was burnt and/or quite oily. Today the Hawaiian toast was so hard you could barely cut it. Cannot be cut with cutlery. The waitress just acknowledged it in an unfriendly manner and mumbled that it had happened before. We would have at least expected some concession. The portions are relatively small. Positive: The soups are recommended.

Loading looks great, unfortunately that's it. The rolls and croissants aren't really tasty and are way too expensive, but the service is rather adequate. Unfortunately the store isn't that great.

Was there for brunch. I can really recommend it. The staff was super friendly. For brunch there were several types of bread, croissants and gluten-free bread. Fruit, cheese, salmon, sausage, scrambled eggs, fried eggs to order. The Rösti mmhhhh was very fine. Honey, jam, chocolate. Orange juice, water, tea, coffee and cocoa. The seating area is very friendly and comfortable. Thank you for the lovely Sunday brunch

Very unfriendly service Will never go there again

I used to get cake here often. Recently me and my partner wanted to stay for breakfast. We had a few questions about the menu and how the buffet works. The waitress was annoyed and very unfriendly. She told us she would take our order when she got back. When I asked if I could order some tea, she ran away. We had to watch as she served several customers after us and ignored us. We felt so unwelcome that we left the restaurant straight away. In this price range, not only the product but also the service has to be right. I will definitely not get my cake here again in the future.

Nice atmosphere and very good Böckerei. However, the lunch is a joke in terms of presentation and portions. 20.50 CHF for a small glass bowl, which is also not suitable for eating at all. The salad is not even included in this price!

Very tasty there. Coffee and cake, snacks, fine luggage and my favorite dish, rustic peaks, with a fine Swiss coffee.

The atmosphere was very pleasant. The staff courteous and friendly. The coffee also tasted good. What I think is great is that they also have ice cream there, which I will definitely try next. Highly recommended.

From the outside it's a simple building/coffee house, where you can't imagine how big, modern and comfortably furnished it is inside. The cappuccino is excellent and the patisserie and breakfast buffet are also impeccable. Here you can sit comfortably in different zones on the seating area or traditionally at the table with chair. The staff is friendly and courteous. I will gladly come again.

It's a real shame, I'm used to something different from Maier! Serving staff saw me and ignored me!!!! And I don't think that the single serving daughter has to serve the whole coffee alone after 10 minutes when two people are standing behind the bar with their legs in their stomachs

It sometimes takes a long time until service comes. just as long until the drinks come. A fried egg with 2 very small pieces of ham and no bread was served. We are very disappointed. And the fact that apart from the ice cream menu you first have to take a photo of a QR code to even see a menu is not very customer friendly.

Everything OK, friendly service, not always the case... In terms of price, it's more in the upper segment.

Really top, very friendly service, everything was super tasty and everything was totally clean. The ginger tea is my absolute hit and is homemade.

Actually a cozy place for coffee and cake, but lunch in the Weck glasses is a joke. Unless you like compressed, wet salad with a lid of salad dressing that doesn't flow down, a Piccata Milanese the size of chicken nuggets and partly dry spaghetti with far too little (and also watery) tomato sauce. It's a shame... but the service is always very friendly!

It's really a very nice café and the staff are friendly and competent. If I compare MAIER, for example, with JENZER, BUCHMANN or BANGETER in and around Basel, then MAIER is at the bottom in terms of price and performance (for its breakfasts). You get less for the same money at MAIER. I think the invigorating competition is missing a bit. It was still tasty and style and facilities have to be taken into account, and MAIER has that. Until another time.

Very nice café, but unfortunately my Silserli at half past eight in the morning were clearly not fresh, but from the day before. We have already seen this with the ham. A real shame considering the price of 4 CHF per piece. Do you really need that?

The (theoretical) offer of rösti, fried eggs and cafés (unlimited) is ok, but due to the service/kitchen being overloaded, it is actually impossible to get on a busy day. Our cappuccino and hash browns never arrived, our second order only arrived when we asked twice after about 30 minutes. When paying later, the same chaos. Therefore only 2 stars overall

Very inattentive waiter...it's a shame...you can die of thirst...or leave without paying...nobody notices either... The coffee would be a great cozy place...

We really enjoy coming to Café Maier in Möhlin. Unfortunately we have to realize that the food is no longer as tasty as it was before Corona. The pre-cooked food in the Weck jars is impractical and the quality is poor. The spaghetti carbonara was overcooked and was swimming in oil! The classic tarte flambée was also soft in the middle and no longer tasted like it used to. A pity. We are disappointed.

We are big fans of the Maier bakery and buy a lot when we are at one of the locations. The products are 1A, the selection is huge and everything is incredibly excellent, for example monastery peaks, nut cake, carrot muffin, cheesecake, rye bread, Jura Park bread, sourdough bread, all of the highest quality. The branch in Möhlin is very stylish, really beautifully done, we were there twice. Both times we were served by a Mrs. R. Rickenbacher, who wasn't particularly interested in us first checking out the large selection to find out what we wanted to buy, but rather pushed us. Ergo: we bought less than we already did. After these two times we went back to the main store in Laufenburg, where the employees were really warm and accommodating, took their time and gave you time, especially the young man and the boss, where you felt welcome and were happy to come by again.

As a local guest, the restaurant is ok and the food is enjoyable. But the Corona Takeaway is boiled, bland and dry stuff in the morning. It's a shame you could get through the Corona crisis on business here with good food. The soup of the day is only available cold... that says it all.
