The fries are delicious and the person who served us was great

I gave 5 stars a few years ago....but those days are well and truly over! A team that changes all the time, unmotivated people.... absolutely not consistent quality of fries! Sometimes too fatty, undercooked, overcooked, overly salty (I already had to throw away half the package)... I'm a weekly customer and that's it! That's not what Belgian fries are, guys.... And for the bosses, be present in your shop to manage all that otherwise you're heading straight into the wall!

Very good fries and all the chip shop specialties that go with them, like in Belgium. The atmosphere is very nice and the staff are very welcoming. There is a wide choice of beers for beer lovers!

Ah the Belga, the best Belgian diplomacy has in its arsenal! This real little Belgian embassy in French-speaking Switzerland knows how to transport us to the heart of what our French-speaking cousins ​​do best: beer, fries and a good atmosphere! Friendly Belgian bar/food joint. Super selection of beer, even found some cider! Server was very friendly and helpful, we went on a Sunday evening and the place was very busy with a great atmosphere. Did not eat but many people were eating. Prices average for area, would definitely recommend.

The Belga restaurant located at the end of Plainpalais in Geneva offers authentic belgium fries, belgium beer and belgium "snacks" which can be overally described as fried sausages and fried skewer meats. A meal can either be fries + snack or miltrailette which is a typical belgium sandwhich made of bread and containing fries in sauce and a snack.The concept of the restaurant lies on the idea of presenting and serving food like a food truck while physically resembling to a bar with both an inside and outside part (terrace). The fries comes with a sauce of your choice and taste excellent. Same applies for the snacks. The service is really welcoming, warm and genuinely nice (waiters and waitress usually end up discussing with customers which is super nice). The price is kept low while maintaining good food quality and quantity. The restaurant is open during the whole day and the service is always quick and efficient at any time of the day (even in the middle of an afternoon). Also offering the possibility to take out food and eat elsewhere. On the whole, this is a go-to-place for going with friends or alone at any time of the day should it be for the lunch, dinner or in the middle of an afternoon. Especially a good option if time is short. A highly recommendable place.

Honestly, the place is a little small and difficult to get around, it doesn't have adequate ventilation, it's dark. Regarding the food, it seemed a little expensive for some fries. The taste of pork fat, despite being good, if you order the large potatoes you end up getting tired of it. 80% of sauces are mayonnaise-based They have a good variety of craft beers ❤️❤️ Additionally, they have special fried foods that I didn't have the opportunity to try on this occasion, but they looked very good. It's a shame that they don't have sunflower or peanut oil so that vegetarians can eat something from the place. Regarding the service, it was good but it is a little slow and waiting 10" minutes for some fries I don't see it as really productive. What if it's good? Yes!!..but I know it can improve much more ❤️💪

I came to try this restaurant and I am really disappointed. For a restaurant that claims to specialize in Swiss fries, the fries were not salty enough and they were even fattier than those from McDonald's. Additionally, both cookings were almost invisible. The meat was also disappointing. I had a "machine gun" burger and the meat was not seasoned at all. Luckily there was sauce to add some flavor. Service wise, they forgot my order as my friends finished eating when I started to receive mine.. I am very disappointed with this restaurant because it is rated 4.5 stars.

french fries are very average, I had a CHF 7.- portion and most of it were very small pieces. The service is VERY bad and the team are not nice with customer.

Truly, truly delicious! We were very hungry as we hadn’t eaten that day, so we went for the larger cone of fries, along with some of the other meaty offerings. Everything was wonderful, the portions were very generous and everything about the meal screamed « comfort food ». The fries, being the main event, were nothing short of perfection for us. If you’re looking for a tasty, quick and easy meal that’ll leave you feeling full and satisfied, Belga is the place to go.

I bought fries to take away. I ate them half an hour later and of course they were cold. I think you have to eat there to get the right texture and flavor. The American sauce was delicious.

Excellent chip shop with a wide choice of beers. Double cooking in beef fat makes all the difference. It is the ideal place for all occasions, aperitif, lunch, dinner. I highly recommend !

It was long before... After a good Belgian team, lost its identity with an inability to accept its mediocrity both in serving beers and in cooking fries. Place to avoid

Disappointing ! Our fries had nothing in common with the Belgian fries I knew from Brussels. Service was low quality. The guy behind the counter had a chip on his shoulder (no pun intended). When I would ask question about the offering, his attitude was like "are you challenging me, buster ?" Cleanliness is not up to snuff either. Avoid.

I am generally very critical of the fries that we are served in restaurants, having myself had a fries business in my youth (and especially having taken the trouble to learn how to make them before starting out) but here , I admit that I had good fries From the noise in the skimmer I knew that they would be crispy and cooked to perfection. They were! Well done, nice place to recommend

Probably the best place in Geneva to eat fries. In terms of quality and price, there is nothing better! On the other hand, you have to arrive early because, as a result of its success, seats are rare and you cannot reserve. So if you like fries this is the place to absolutely try.

If you want fries, this is the best place I know in Geneva. The small portion is already substantial. Never tried the big one. I haven't tasted the breaded Belgian specialties either. The quality to price ratio is excellent. I take takeaway. Not a fan at all of industrial furniture or noise.
