Bellariva in Maggia

The Bellariva Restaurant has been a must for many years in the Maggia Valley. It has been taken over by TCS for almost two years and completely modernised. The food is excellent, the environment is simple but very well looked after, full of parking spaces, also ideal for children with a nearby playground. The manager Jonas and his staff are always nice, fast and prepared. I highly recommend for both lunch and dinner

The place is truly ideal for spending time with friends and relatives. The menu is vast and offers various dishes suitable for everyone. The staff is very welcoming and always ready to prepare the best for a good lunch or dinner.

We ate at Bella Riva twice during our stay. As luck would have it, the first visit took place in the low season, with the second visit two days later falling in the high season. The portion of fries felt like it was half the size of the last time, but no more ketchup was added. Hot oil and spices are brought to the table with pizza in the off-season. In high season you can wave at the service as much as you want... Ultimately, it's easier to get the things yourself if you want them while the food is still warm. But be careful, as soon as you put the first drop on your pizza, a waitress suddenly appears at the table out of nowhere and takes the oil away without asking. To top it all off, the bill was a bit too much in their favor and only reluctantly corrected. Eating out in a restaurant should actually be an experience. You don't go primarily just to get something in your stomach. You want to be served, find time for conversation and not have to wash the dishes at the end. I can cook myself too!
