We visited here as part of a 26-person group on a train tour of Switzerland. The hotel is beautifully situated only 10 minutes walk from the station and is an older-style building, with chandeliers in the dining room, a slightly rickety lift and a well-appointed bar and lounge. Although we didn't have time to use it, I believe there is a large swimming pool. Breakfast had lots of choice and was tasty. Dinner was a group set menu so I can't really comment on what one might find in the wider menu. Our room was slightly old but still came equipped with a coffee machine. There is no room safe or 'fridge. We did have a small balcony overlooking the road, which was lovely. The bar / restaurant staff were very friendly and efficient, as was the lady on Reception. I would happily visit again.

We enjoyed spending an extended weekend in the Victoria Hotel of Kandersteg. The food was very good and varied, served in an impressive old Ball room with high ceiling. Good breakfast buffet. Good hygiene / pandemic handling. Great covered swimming pool: nice in winter. Sauna is small, good for two. Very enjoyable in these pandemic times: a lot of places to hang out, like the bar area, the library, even here and there in the hallways. My only reserve : the whole hotel has come of age and while clean and well maintained, it will soon need a renovation.

Le personnel, tant au service, qu'à l'accueil ou dans les chambres est aimable et souriant. Les chambres, très confortables, peuvent être occupées également avec les chiens. Piscine, salle de lecture, salle de jeux ponctuent ce séjour qui ne peut être qu'agréable, pour un très bon rapport qualité prix.

We stayed in the two bedroom holiday apartment over Christmas - it was spacious, comfortable, and excellently appointment. We were able to book half board dinner for 3/5 night which was fairly priced and excellent quality. This is the perfect launching point for travels around the valley. My only feedback would be that it would be helpful for the apartments to include the basics (salt, pepper, oil) and that the front desk staff wasn’t the most informed about activities in the area (better off visiting the tourist office which is just two doors down)
