Very friendly staff, great service and the food tasted great too!

The restaurant is located in a beautiful location with a breathtaking view. We chose to take the lantern pass and ended up stopping to eat dinner at this restaurant. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was good.

Close to the mountain station. Large sun terrace. Food and drink ok. Service a bit disorganized and slow.

Despite the high volume of visitors and the long waiting times on Sunday, Claudia's service was top. She was always very calm and friendly.

Miserable service, waited 1:40 hours for the food at minus -4 degrees outside on the veranda because it was at full capacity. After more than an hour and multiple inquiries, we were told that there was a power outage in the kitchen (no one came out and passed this information on to the guests, quote: “I told you: it will come when it comes”). Food priced above average - food tasted average. Unfriendly and unreasonable service (with a total of 3 different excuses as to why nothing worked today). Better take provisions/thermos with you...

We wanted something to eat and drink on a Sunday. The restaurant was very full and we heard dissatisfied guests all around because of the long waiting times. The service was very unfriendly and now the worst happened: I asked if I could have my coffee with lactose-free milk. The waitress said no, they did have some, but I should order something from the menu without making any adjustments, the kitchen was overwhelmed. When I asked if I should take cow's milk because of my food intolerance, she said no, but something else that was on the menu that was lactose-free anyway. I also have celiac disease but I didn't want to inquire about a gluten-free menu since I wasn't given anything to drink. It was the last resort and we will never come back!!! I'm still speechless how inconsiderate and ignorant people can be and how people with intolerances can be treated like that.

Extremely long waiting time. Completely oversalt the Bolognese. Barley soup consists practically only of cream. Worst cuisine on this planet.

Went here to celebrate new years. Food was amazing and the staff were beyond friendly! Had a great new years with a great view of all the fireworks and celebrations.

Delicious fondue and strudel! Very friendly servers who did everything to help us feel settled and satisfied. Dog and child friendly. The restaurant is in a beautiful setting. We were so happy to dine here and would come back again.

Seevice equals 0! Waiting for service for 35 minutes, we even went in and wanted to order. Maybe hire one more person or people who are qualified, but not all customers will run away.

Friendly service. Unfortunately no changing table, at least in the men's toilet. The great view and the many artificial shades complete the experience.

We were there on a sunny Saturday. There were plenty of seats outside in the shade. We had to drink Aperol Spritz, the glass was well filled for 9.50 as well as a tarte flambée, which was very tasty and a children's portion of fries and wienerli. The service was friendly and the toilets were clean.

Ordered Coca Cola, received some kind of pill. Either it had been expired for years or the waitress didn't listen properly when ordering.

We were here twice on our route around the Engelstock, at the beginning and at the end of the hike. The service is very nice and always ready to have fun. That's what I call a great work ethic.

We ate a delicious breakfast, which was served as a buffet on Sunday morning. We tasted regional specialties. In the afternoon we came back for tasty coffee and wine.

A very cozy and clean inn. We felt very comfortable. Thanks to the warm operations manager Ms. Furrer and her employees. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. A thank you also goes to the chef Mr. Gasser for the delicious food.

Food had varying quality. Raviolis were good, Alpenmagrone were okay but that's never outstanding, but the Mediterranean were too cooked. The service was able but long, generally pleasant but one of the waiters who was just serving the dishes was not very polite. She didn't understand my son's Swiss German and instead of trying to understand she fled. The atmosphere is average, noisy when busy.

We haven't received an invoice. They sell in the black.

Went there to drink coffee. Coffee and cake came quite quickly, but they took a lot of time when it came to paying.

Typical ski and mountain inn with the charm of my youth (late 70s). The service is friendly, even if we had to wait a bit at the entrance without being greeted by the waiter who passed by empty-handed twice. Well, yes, maybe there is a strict distribution of roles here. Otherwise, we were served faster than we could eat: the main course came before we had finished the starter. That was a bit of a shame. The food was quite ok. The fries were very generously salted and bread would have been appropriate with the salad as the main course.

Nice mountain restaurant, well located, bright and friendly rooms, child-friendly. The service was very friendly, courteous (brought crayons for my little daughter) and competent. There are deductions for the food, even if it was served very quickly, the kitchen was probably a bit messed up, not only in our case was part of the order forgotten (not tragic because the soup was served within minutes) and all the dishes were hard to tolerate with salt - Limit (2 soups + Älplermaggeroni), otherwise there was nothing to complain about in terms of taste.

Vegan tarte flambée was very tasty. It would also be nice to offer other vegan dishes, as well as dessert/ice cream and plant-based milk for the kafi. Vegetarian dishes were also tasty. Many thanks to the team, we'll be happy to come back.

Location good, atmosphere ok. Service was a bit negative. Unfortunately, despite the great ice cream menu, there is no children's ice cream. I find it a bit strange, since a scoop of ice cream with a few Smarties can't be a huge expense.

Unfortunately very disappointing... first we had to wait 45 minutes until someone came to our table... then we could only order drinks because the kitchen was overwhelmed... after another 30 minutes we waited, waited and waited again paid and left. Not recommended🙄

very unfriendly boss. Cappuccino was like water, when I complained they just shrugged their shoulders and billed me as normal without a replacement. Not recommendable.

Very nice place, but rather expensive for a family mountain, gondola lift and parking lot.

We sat down at a dirty table and had to ask the waitress to clean up - she did it with a grim look on her face. Then we had to wait for 30 minutes just to get our order. And then once we did it, we still didn’t get even our drinks. While everyone around us that came after us received their orders and ate their food. What a horror experience.

It's a disgrace to wait 40 minutes for fries and then not even get the correct order, absolute disgrace.

Extremely friendly staff. We had to wait a relatively long time for our food. Very little choice in the menu, price compared to performance rather in the upper segment.

The fruit consecration was not fresh, the puff pastry was unfortunately "rubbery" and the service was absolutely friendly.

After I ordered an apple strudel, it came with cream and ice cream. I was surprised and said I only wanted the apple strudel. Then another woman came and told me that I had nothing to say about it and that I should pay for it now. Her tone was very unpleasant and she treated me rudely. Unpleasant for customers. Disrespectful.

The food was excellent, but the handling of the certificate requirement and the staff wearing masks was extremely poor: - Upon arrival the staff simply asked us if we had a certificate. When we wanted to show this, the answer was "No, we don't have time for this nonsense in the service department" and then there was a lecture about why these measures were unnecessary. During this time, this person would have checked the certificates of all guests several times. - The mask was also not actually worn, or rather the chin was covered with it. Measures are measures and anyone who does not want to adhere to them should not work in service. Therefore 3 stars deducted because the food was otherwise excellent.

Is a very good restaurant, very good food and very nice staff

The Mostelberg has functional rooms and a great restaurant with sensational food. The hosts are very friendly and nice.

After waiting 40 minutes without being allowed to order food I politely asked which was the waiting time, to decide to go back to ski or wait. A very rude waitress told me that they were overloaded, and told me it would take 3 h. Such treatment did not correspond to what was asked or the tone I used. I then asked to speak with the owner and within 5 minutes our food was ordered and served. I think this waitress needs some training on customer service, and even if the food later came fast and was ok it is disappointing to have to ask the owner to get served. Will choose another place next time.

The apple strudel is really really good. The service is very friendly and helpful.

Great start to the new year on the Mostelberg! Despite the huge rush, we had a pleasant afternoon on the sun terrace! Eaten across the menu - varied & tasty! The service was friendly although... there was a lot going on! The chef has put together a great New Year's Eve menu for the evening! Despite a very long day, the service crew is still in top form! When it comes to staying overnight, the price is right - the rooms are simple & clean! The view in the morning is amazing! Breakfast is good - my personal insider tip - definitely try the Birchermüesli! We would like to come again!!!!

Well, it's a mountain restaurant, but still not out of the world. This means that the minimum principle of a restaurant should also be fulfilled. e.g.: Taking the correct order within a reasonable period of time and also delivering the plates within a reasonable period of time. Bread for the salad, pepper and salt on the table, etc. Unfortunately, everything is a bit lacking here. A pity. Someone once told me that as a waitress, never walk through the restaurant empty-handed. There is always something to do. I am sure that this alone would lead to a considerable improvement.

Sure, it's a mountain inn and not a top restaurant, but the meat shouldn't be tough anyway. Also long waiting time. Sun terrace and location itself is ok.

Visited Mostelberg with a companion on a rainy Tuesday lunchtime. Since I and my companion didn't have a certificate, we asked if we could get something to eat outside. We were turned away quite harshly with the sentence: There is no service outside. Although there were other guests sitting outside An impudence! But we received great service and had a great meal at Herrenboden. Hospitality is still very important there

I felt really discriminated against here. After I asked one of the service employees whether the fries were gluten-free (sometimes wheat is added), I was offered a nut salad instead. This is the only thing that is definitely gluten-free. I then assured her that I wasn't allergic but would still like to know. Their menu also states that you should ask the staff about allergens. A second service employee then intervened and told me in a brisk tone that this was not a 3-star restaurant and that I should just eat the nut salad. An impudence. They were unwilling to respond to my request to ask about the allergen in the kitchen - there was too much going on. We then went to the restaurant opposite (Q-Hof) and ate a very tasty gluten-free goulash soup. Asking about allergens wasn't a problem either. I will never come here again.

Fries cold, schnitzel half raw, bacon in the nut salad cold, the dressing almost tasteless. It's a shame, you'd expect something different for these prices

The burger patty was black/burned on one side (no apology received), 3 CHF too much was added to the bill and when paying by card, 5 CHF more than stated was entered (despite a tip that would not have been justified). Disappointment!

We had Vegetarian food here. Only two options: Tarte flambe and Alper magaroni. Tarte flambe was very bland. Magaroni was great.

The brunch is brilliant with a fantastic view and a large selection

We have reserved a table for 7 people. On the phone I was asked 7 adults or with children. I have confirmed that we are 7 adults. When we arrived, a slightly larger table for four was set for the seven of us in a small corner. We barely had any space. The waitress could hardly serve us or put down the tray. Since we were positioned directly in front of the counter, we were able to overhear the loud, cursing communication behind the counter. Only one person could serve and the rest of the staff was not focused on service. We were able to find out about this with the remark that I had never poured wine before and the whole table was dirty with drops of wine. The final comment was they could have done it themselves. The main course came but the starter wasn't even cleared away yet. We then had to do this ourselves so that we had space at our small table. The food was miserable. Älplerrösti was made with rancid fat, cold and the cheese was already dry, as was the egg. As if the food had been in the oven for 3 hours. The fries as side dishes on the other menus were not through and one plate probably ran out of fries and ended up with ¼ of the normal portion of fries. When we wanted to pay we had to wait another 45 minutes until we could finally pay. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. --> On November 10th, 2020 I sent an email to the review response. There was no response. Recorded on December 15, 2020

Nicely located. Nice personel. Delicious Bieberbread, cappuccino but average. Prices in the upper segment.

We must have had a special day. It was a bit chaotic and they seemed understaffed. We also had to wait a very long time for our food. That would have been okay for us adults, but it was difficult for our kids. The food was good, but in my opinion not enough in quantity.

After the walk and great moments in the bouncy castle, we wanted to strengthen ourselves again. Unfortunately there was quite a crowd, which speaks for the restaurant... or not. We then sat down on the spacious terrace and waited. Unfortunately, our lunch break only consisted of waiting because both the service and the kitchen admitted to being completely overwhelmed and having far too few staff. Which was true. I felt sorry for the service people and if we had seen an alternative, we would have paid and gone somewhere else to relieve them. Unfortunately, after waiting 1.5 minutes, we were pretty cold on the terrace and only at the end did we see that there were still woolen blankets somewhere. Tip to service. Kindly point out that you can bridge the waiting time better with a blanket. If there had been fewer people it would certainly have been a nice lunch break, but unfortunately all that was left was a lot of frustration and cold feet. A pity.

Good for eating, there is a family menu and a nice sun terrace.

There were six of us here with two children. The waitress brought three orders first and we had to wait another half hour for her to bring the other orders to the table. And later she even forgot an order! When we complained, she was very aggressive and didn't even apologize for a possible mistake. As a host, this is a “NO GO” to treat customers so aggressively. Even if the waitress is having a possible bad day. With behavior like this I absolutely cannot recommend the inn. It's a shame because the food wasn't bad, but the service is just as important, if not more important.

Beautiful mountain inn with a sunny terrace. The dishes are lovingly prepared and very good. The service was attentive, friendly and prompt so that we got our food quickly despite the busyness. You feel comfortable here and a visit is definitely worth it.

Nice restaurant friendly staff good food

Considering its position, up a mountain in a high tourist location, prices were mostly reasonable and most serving sizes of food we saw seemed great. Though frappes priced at 8.50CHF were quite small for the price. Coffee was nice, view was great, staff were friendly. This place gets very busy on a nice Sunday afternoon, so you may have to wait for a table on the deck, but it is an enjoyable experience. Overlooking the children's inflatable play area and luge (Rodelbahn) queue, you can keep your eye on your kids (from a distance) whilst enjoying a beer or frappe.

You order a Coca Cola and get 3dl with little carbonation and not even original Coke. very likely Lidl or Aldi Cola... for a whopping CHF 5.50 a glass🤨 food was ok.
