Berggasthaus Rigi-Scheidegg in Gersau

A bistro located just 1798 meters below the summit of Mt. Rigi Kulum. You can purchase and eat food outdoors or indoors. Korean cup ramen can also be purchased for CHF 2 francs with hot water and can be eaten indoors or outdoors. It is recommended as a good place to take a walk to the top, buy light cakes, sandwiches, puddings and drinks, and take a break while looking at the Alps.

Friendly but small portions. Nuggets with fries only 4 nuggets rather lean

Considering that Swiss nuggets are normal, I think the chicken nugget French fries menu is good!

I didn't have high expectations for food at a mountain restaurant, and the food pretty much stuck to that script. The staff, though, were a real downer. Christmas Eve, tons of tourists escaping wind havoc, and a chaotic food-ordering puzzle. Asked a staff to confirm about my order so that I won’t mistook others’ food who ordered before me, and got hit with an eye-roll-worthy reply: "How would I remember?" Shoutout to the cool customers, though—they were sharing tables and finishing their meals with lightning speed, to offer seats to others!

The green RIGI cap on display here catches my eye... Can't you find it online?

The staff was friendly and helpful. It was a quiet mid-season day

The old lady staff was rude, seems your business 99% from tourist, why you rude to it. If you don't like it, just close the shop. We've been serve in Switzerland so many days never get treat like this.

The staff was very friendly. Food was good, just the fries were a bit too salty. Ambience okay - it's a bistro and not a restaurant. The prices are reasonable for the location.

Staffs are very unfriendly. Staffs were yelling at the customers, and they acted very harsh. They didnt smile at all. The staff here are very unfriendly and yell. Do not go… .. The most unpleasant moment in Switzerland. Excuse me? So yeah Excuse me? He was clearly looking at me like this and screaming. The location is great, so it looks like they're doing a great job. The interval between Rigi trains was too long, so I had no choice but to go in to kill time and avoid the sun, but I ended up feeling bad.

The food was very average. Rigi sausage is salty, napoli pasta is sweet and sour. The best fries and I only recommend them. The service was very, very nice. The view from the terrace is unique.

Fast food, OK in spirit but chef for what it is! Not even a water point to fill your bottle after a hike...

The food was very good. Great fries, special fine sausage and great roast. Despite a lot of people, everything was ready quickly and the atmosphere was calm.

Unfortunately, 2x beef tagliata arrived cold. Portion very small. 2x rice with cordon bleu was very dry. Coffee was very bad. No taste and very watery. Very long waiting times even though the restaurant was empty. A pity…

The staff was friendly, but the food wasn't even mediocre. The fries were okay, but nothing more. Bratwurst was grilled too briefly and of poor quality.

Great place, tasty and at a fair price food. Amazing terrace to enjoy your meal and maybe a beer with an outstanding view. Staff super friendly, they even allowed us to leave our bags there while walking around. Vielen Dank!!!

I really like the way how smart and useful are connected shops, restaurants, services at all. For example Rigi Pic - small restaurant next to the souvenir shop, and behind the corner clean toilets for free. All of this you can find at the top of mountain Rigi Kulm, just at the station. Needed to mention, there is a wonderful view from the top ! 💚💚💚🏔️❄️☘️

Very unfriendly staff who shout at guests. It's a shame that tourists are given such a bad impression. Whoever represents you, I think you just have to stop.

Hmm, not that easy to evaluate. The two employees were friendly, but both smoked while working. The prices are rather high, especially the cappuccino in espresso size is far too expensive, but tastes good.

The owner said he knew by presenting a discount coupon, but the actual price was not discounted.

Very poor service and unfriendly staff. Unfortunately this was the only place to hide from bad foggy weather, and we were surprised how can any hospitality sector be so rude to the costumers. If my staff was this unfriendly to the tourists staying at my apartment I would be out of hospitality business very, very soon. The place looks outdated. I'm not sure if that's how swiss people are in general, but I sure hope this was an exception. I would say avoid it, but I don't think you have an option if you by any reason visit this train stop shop/caffe/snack dump.

So the fries were very nice, as were the nuggets, but you can hardly go wrong with this menu 😁. What was worth 5 stars to me, however, was the host's hospitality. He first came to see where we were sitting (outside because we didn't have a certificate 😆 it was a bit cool and windy before the sun came but it didn't matter) and after a while he came to ask if everything was OK with us. I think that's nice, honestly. The price was ok too

Had worst experience at self- service restaurant/kiosk. Took a kids menu along with 2 other dishes and was charged 65 EUR. But upon finding a table and settling, found kids menu was charged in excess. It was around 10 EUR and the lady at the counter charged double and when asked was not ready to return extra 10 charged. Felt very bad and was not customer friendly also. She was like who asked to move out of the counter, if you see not checking your bill... while at lunch, the queue was very long and you cannot expect anyone to check what was charged for each and every bill... this may give a bad impression to any tourist about Swiss... which I don't want to (Though am not tourist, local in Swiss)

Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall, auf den verschiedensten wegen zum Gipfel hinauf zu gehen. Am Ende der Bergbahn gibt es ein Hotel mit Restaurant und zwei verschiedenen wegen zum Gipfel, einen steilen und einen bequemen, der immer noch relativ steil ist. Der Blick ist atemberaubend und lohnt sich auf jeden Fall.

Goulash soup 10 francs? Cream soup 8 francs? It was enough. It is expensive compared to the food and it is salty! I think you can think of it as paying for the comfortable view of the scenery while waiting for the train.

We went with the train up from Vitznau and were rewarded with an amazing view. You just have to wakl maybe another 200 m and you are at the top. It was very windy and fresh but the weather was lovely and we could see a wonderful panorama.

Obwohl es nur ein einfaches “beizli” ist, der service und das Personal sind einfach gut. Immer freundlich, was bei diesem Job sicher auch nicht immer einfach ist. Auch die Speisen sind absolut in Ordnung und auf kleinen Terrasse mit der Box voller decken und Kissen kann man es sich gemütlich machen. Herrlich.

Don't order packages for rigi events offered at the restaurant on their website unless you're prepared to pay an extra 50$ to take the lift or train to get there. There is no way to get there in a person vehicle

They're only open until 4:30 p.m., but there's a train to Goldau until 6:04 p.m. and it's cold in November! I had to wait 30 minutes in the cold until the train came! And on the train the owner of the restaurant looks so stupid! On the Internet the opening hours are until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and he closes at 4:30 p.m.!

Heute schnell und spontan entschieden mal aufi zu fahren. Nachdem wir angekommen sind riss dann doch der Wolkenvorhang auf und gab einen herrlichen Blick frei! Als Belohnung gab es dann im Restaurant eine kleine Brotzeit! Ich komme sicherlich mal wieder.

At the peak of Mount Rigi, "Queen of the Mountains," is this building- hotel/restauarant and cafeteria. There are reclining wooden type lounge chairs- relax and enjoy the view: that's what I did

Took cog train up and down 30 min each way. Can see lake Lucern and many other lakes. Not alpine but very high hills.

I think it's all okay, but you could definitely get more out of it if you had one or two more people. There were only two of them serving and they were quite overwhelmed. The tables in the restaurant were also being cleaned, but the food was good, the French fries were great, crispy and not oily

We booked a train out of Zurich to take the train up and despite some weather and cold, had a great time. Lakes, small towns, mountains all make for a great view and nice day. Waiting for the train we bought a bottle of wine and and some soup, which was good but because of location the service and pricing are just not there. Its best to bring something with you or wait until you take the trains back down and have a better experience in one of the towns. We waiting to eat when we arrived in Lucerne. One tip might be to buy the wine though, we took it down to the boat we took to Lucerne along with cups and had a nice glass, or two, of wine sitting in the sun as we made our way across the lake.

Обычный ресторанчик фастфуд. Взяли картофель фри, сосиски и кофе. Перекусили в ожидании поезда. Народу много, когда хорошая погода. И все было вкусно!

Das Essen und die tolle Aussicht sind einfach fantastisch. Immer wieder einen Besuch wert, wenn man auf der Rigi ist.

Nehmen Sie sich Zeit und trinken Sie die Aussicht. An einem klaren Tag können Sie von hier aus 13 Seen und alle 26 Kantone der Schweiz sehen.

가격은 싼편은 아니지만4인가족이 저 두세트정도 시키면간단한 점심정도 되고맛도 그럭저럭.하지만날씨 좋은 리기산에서 맥주와함께 먹으면아주 좋습니다기차도 1시간마다 있고음식은 주문즉시 나오니점심때쯤 올라가서간단히 식사하시고다음기차로 내려오면 딱 좋습니다

Ein sehr schöner Ort für einen Besuch mit wundervoller Aussicht auf den See oder sogar nur um den Berg. Es hat mir so gut gefallen

Nous avons profité d'une magnifique journée de printemps pour monter eu Rigi et manger au Restaurant self-service.Le personnel était très serviable, et les prix des plats proposés tous à fait corrects, et très bons. Nous nous attentions à des prestations "attrappe-touristes", mais ce n'est pas le cas.Les vins sont à des prix nettement inférieurs à certains simples restaurants de plaine.

電車が30分以上起きとかにしかないから、電車の待ち時間に利用。景色は絶景。スープやサンドイッチがある。あとはカップ麺とかもあった。飲み物はドリンクバーみたいなマシーンがあって、そこで自分でいれてからお会計って感じ。

Poor service. Inadequate place. Hugely overpriced. Worst place I ever been in switzeland. The stuff is chasing people out before they finish the meal or drink. To be avoided at all cost.

A great place for the view but you should go down to the Rigi First hotel restaurant to have a good lunch.

Hamburgers and beer at the top!!

It's a shame, this place could surprise you with good food. Unfortunately there is only fast food there.
