You can get here on foot from the parking lot or take a lift to the top and then go down to the lake. A very beautiful place!!!

We hiked up to the Seealpsee. It was nice to sit down in the restaurant after the hard hike. Since this is the only restaurant open by the lake, there were a lot of people waiting at the door to get a seat. The Flammkuchen is delicious, but the crispy trout bites are less so. The service is not very fast and not because there were many people.

It's 10:00 in the morning and it's still a bit chilly up here and the climb is steep. And now a coffee and something delicious with it! Just lovely. The service was extremely friendly and attentive! The ambience was harmonious with the surroundings and homely, we felt comfortable. Will definitely come back next year!

Nice restaurant, the service and the food are good but overall the prices are a bit high and in our opinion the menu is too geared towards tourism. On Sundays at 4:30 p.m. there was no more meat according to service - kitchen closed ??? We didn't understand that.

Cool little hike to Seealpsee. Very steep concrete road up and down. Optionally a path through the forest. Also steep. Approximately 40 minutes.

Was told to sit and wait. After 20minutes and four tables who were seated after and orders taken, I was told “can’t you see we’re busy, be patient”! Location is lovely, but service for non Swiss was horrible and rude!

Cozy mountain restaurant, friendly staff.

A beautiful restaurant located directly on Seealpsee, with a breathtaking view of the Säntis and the surrounding mountains. The service staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Very good value for money considering that everything has to be driven up the mountain.

We stayed overnight here. The room was very clean and comfortably furnished. The showers and toilets on the floor were very clean. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness!! Despite the large number of guests at dinner, we were treated very friendly and courteously. Thank you for the lovely stay!!!!

Worth the walk for a beer by Lake Seealpsee.

With a well-attended garden restaurant, we were able to experience real Swiss hospitality in the Seealpsee mountain inn. Super friendly, attentive and speedy service. The food was also really delicious and the view of the lake was beautiful. We will be back and would be happy to recommend you!

Dinner alone. The place is beautiful, the service excellent, but the food is without love. Most of the menu consists of things that come frozen from the wholesaler and are fried briefly. The trout pieces: don't do it. The flammkuchen is okay, but you have certainly had better. In any case, the lettuce is fresh, and the ready-made sauce on top is fine. The fries are cheap frozen, but if you like MacDonalds, you'll be fine. The cakes are also frozen baked.

I had never had a worst service in my life. We received a wrong order in the restaurant, they refused to change our order, had to pay full price and at the end, did not want to allow us to fill our water bottles, as they wanted us to buy bottled water from the restaurant. The place is beautiful, but the service was horrible. I would strongly advice to avoid it.

Our hike to Seealpsee was a complete success, we went for dinner there and really enjoyed it. The service staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. I can recommend it. You won't forget a hike so quickly :)

We spent 3 days hiking in the Alpstein in this mountain inn. I was completely satisfied with everything, excellent cuisine, nice staff, nice clean room and I really enjoyed the proximity to the lake, where you can also swim.

Stopped here for lunch after the hike around the lake. As always, great location and friendly, prompt staff. However, the food is not only expensive, but sometimes also disappointing. There is a lack of pizzazz (boring, bland potato salad and barley soup without Moschtbröckli) and the preparation also left a lot to be desired (the bratwurst probably only saw the grill from a distance, was lukewarm - and the sauce was thin). Loving, appreciative gastronomy tastes different and presents itself differently, even if the fine Schlorzi Chüechli at the end made us a little more forgiving.

We were pretty thirsty after the walk to the lake and went to the mountain inn. The service was nice and quite quick, and the place by the lake is of course really nice. However, the prices are pretty steep and when it got windy, a parasol flew around our ears because they were pushed so loosely into the umbrella holder.

The hiking trail is strenuous but doable. The lake is just awesome. The staff was friendly and nice. Always my pleasure.

Guest house right on the lake with a sun terrace. Beautiful location and super friendly service. If you are at Seealpsee, you should definitely stop by here.

Was just walking and eating in Seealpsee AI. Wasserauen parking lot 45 minutes up the steep mountain. When I reached the top, I was rewarded by the incredibly beautiful panorama of the lake and mountains with a beautiful mountain inn. Great food, super nice staff at the inn, beautiful lake, quiet, pure relaxation in nature. Lots of opportunities for hiking, great relaxation and if you want to stay there are hotel rooms, but I can't say anything about the rooms as I didn't stay. It was a really nice afternoon. I have never experienced such a fundamental refusal by the staff to accept guests' rubbish. This is not a service culture.

I can't say anything about the rooms, we just ate something. But the food was very tasty and the price was appropriate for the location.

Very great, and not just because of the restaurant. Due to its popularity it is often quite crowded but still friendly! The food is great for a mountain restaurant and always good for surprises.

Top service, would love to eat again

We went there for a night with our. 6-month old baby. The staff was super nice and very accommodating - we had everything we needed to make the baby comfortable and more. The food was delicious and plenty. The interior was brand new and well done. We had everything we expected. The nature there is breathtaking and the lake is everything one thinks a Swiss mountain lake should be. Highly recommended.

We had booked the two single rooms. The room was sufficient for one night and our purpose, but very small. The rooms were clean and the beds were good. The hotel attaches great importance to cleanliness, which is also reflected in the fact that the indoor area can only be entered with slippers. Breakfast offers a small selection. For dinner we had the Cordon Bleu with spaetzli. It tasted excellent and the portion was really big. The outdoor area offers a great view of Seealpsee and the mountain panorama behind it. Thank you for the lovely stay.

Since we only walked there, I can't judge the rooms. The view and the climate are all worth making the journey. The children were able to cool off their feet in the adjacent Seealpsee and enjoy nature. Gladly again

I was eating here with two of my three brothers, outside on the porch. Super beautiful view of the mountains and Seealpsee. Minced meat and croissants from one person, schnitzel and French fries from the other and my large schnitzel with “Chäschnöpfli” were super good and reasonably priced for the location. We can recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Our goal on our vacation was to walk around the Seealpsee and jump into the water... Of course it was very warm that day and that's why we first stopped at the mountain inn. There we were greeted very nicely and politely by a waitress. We enjoyed the great view with a cooling drink. After that it was relaxed...

Bad service. Half of the garden area/terrace has small table signs at the table as reserved so that you don't sit there just because it's a bit too far for the waitresses to walk a few meters more. And all tables still have QR coders since the beginning of the corona pandemic. Nothing has changed there since then.

Unfortunately there are no Rösti here.

Terrace was full. But we didn't have to wait 2 minutes and we were able to order and a few minutes later we already had our drinks. Super Service. Well organized!👍

Very friendly hosts and the young staff very professional. Always in a good mood, friendly and helpful. Kitchen original and good (not a huge menu, but well thought out.) Rooms not luxury but very clean, functional and homely (lots of wood). Unfortunately, a visit is only possible on foot, for unathletic people like me it takes 70 minutes, with strenuous breathing :-)). But that doesn't deter anyone. The inn is always very busy.
