A small, friendly mountain inn at the end of the valley and close to the pretty Partnunseeli. When the weather is nice, you can enjoy an aperitif on the sunny terrace with a view of the valley and mountains. We only had dinner here. The landlady was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed for a short lunch. The selection of foods was rather limited. I could not enjoy the service as the waitress refused to speak Hochdeutsch - High German - and continued to speak with a local dialect as it often happens in this part of Switzerland.

I spent the night twice in the Alpenrösli mountain hut. In the basement you had to wear Crocs that weren't original (Sahara) The wall in the basement was broken and dirty water was running out of the wall. The service was actually very nice, but I find it a bit strange that at this height you are always addressed on a first-name basis. There are shared showers, which I personally didn't like. There are two cats so you shouldn't go to the mountain hut if you have an allergy to animal hair or cat hair. The beds are unstable but (moderately) comfortable.

As part of a large group, I experienced a particularly beautiful decoration (welcome sign, bouquets of alpine flowers), bruschetta, wines from the lowlands and a solid fitness plate with the beef skewer (grill next to the terrace). The berry dessert was exquisite. The boss is always up for fun and not far from the house is Lake Partnun, where you can row. The Alpenrösli was exactly the right place for this Sunday dinner!

We visited and enjoyed 2 nights at this place from Jan.21 to 23. 2023 for ski touring. Well cooked and presented meals! The service was extremely friendly and attentive. One feels very welcome here indeed. The crew is helpful for all sorts of details ski mountaineering tourists may need.

There is an inn on the Sulzfluh where every ski tourer likes to stop. At Zimmi, Berghaus Alpenrösli you will be pampered and come out feeling like a new person! Things are open and warm here.
