We went there with the company to hike and have a drink. We were lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy the beautiful view.

Always worth a break from skiing...

Wonderful place in the middle of the mountain. Very friendly staff, also to the children. The food is really great, the taste, the large portions and everything freshly made! The daily specials are highly recommended, but don't forget to try grandma's meatballs with red cabbage and mashed potatoes! To die for (or the plate) Can certainly be pleasantly busy, but has a good turnover speed. Always room if you look carefully and/or have patience. There is a self-service section, but also the option to be served in the a la Carte section.

Chaos. Way too expensive. Chaos. Pure disaster.

Great place for lunch when skiing in Vella, they have family friendly menu items where a family meal is sold in a serving bowl for a flat price. Update: great terrace and sun loungers. Even in winters with little snow a great place to sit and enjoy the mountain view.

A bratwurst (dry and shriveled) with a bun CHF 14! Bratwurst with fries and onion sauce medium portion, little sauce and moderately good for CHF 25. Price/performance is no longer okay. We have been coming for decades and will now avoid the Triel. After driving, we prefer to take the children to the Migros restaurant in Ilanz or to Leo if we need something on the slopes.

Not a good business card for the ski area The restaurant has a staffed section and a self-service restaurant. In the served part there is pure chaos. A single lady goes from table to table with a tablet and takes orders. She is not only alone but also completely overwhelmed by the technology. After more than half an hour we ask the boss if we can still order. He sends the lady to our table in a somewhat unfriendly manner. The reprimand made her so angry that she refused to serve us. We ultimately solved the problem by getting the food from the self-service area. At the tables around us there is only shaking of heads. There are better options. I'm going to Leo's snack bar again.

Incredibly fast service despite the full terrace, best burger in the entire ski area

19.1. There was braised beef cheek The meat was tender as butter, red cabbage like grandma's, mashed potatoes as well (no stocki!!) and the sauce was just a dream! Sensational, thank you!

Bar, à la carte and self-service restaurant halfway up the ski slope. Large windows and a huge veranda to enjoy the magnificent view, the interior has elements of modernity but at the same time warm and welcoming. The cuisine is of an excellent standard, with dishes made on the spot (as regards à la carte orders). Highly recommended for a quick bite to eat between one descent and another, to warm up with a hot drink, or to just relax!

I sometimes pay 24 for a burger, but then it just has to be good. Unfortunately, this burger tastes like McDonalds (really) and I had to pull brown lettuce out of the rubber bread burger. So: value for money is not right for me. The self-service checkout was very slow, so the food at the table was already cold again. It's a shame for the great view.

Far too expensive for a plate of self-service penne tomato sauce at CHF 24.00!

Dear Restaurant Triel I completely understand that on days like New Year's Day all hell breaks loose for you. I just really don't understand why there aren't more fully automatic coffee machines in the self-service area so that your guests can get a coffee or cocoa. On the one hand, this would greatly reduce the burden on your service and, on the other hand, your guests would also be happier, so that they don't have to queue at the counter for at least 30 minutes for a cup of coffee, Ovi or tea. It's a shame, things used to be different there!

Perhaps it would make sense to include on the Google homepage the information that the restaurant is only open when the flag is up. Or the note - pay attention to special opening times in cloudy weather. It's a shame/annoying when it's open and the restaurant is still closed when you get to the top.

Nice restaurant, nice staff, fine drinks and good food with a great view

Unfortunately, things are no longer the same as before. With self-service you could eat something quickly and easily. I found it very pleasant to choose a menu while waiting in line. In addition, people often spontaneously grabbed a dessert or a snack. However, that doesn't have to be my problem if it means less sales. This year, due to this change, I have never eaten here. It's not possible that the drinks menu in the open bar shows prices for 3.5dl, but a 3dl glass is brought. The service then only explains that something would also be filled in over the 3dl line. In other places the authorities would certainly intervene quickly. It's a shame, I've loved being here in recent winters.

Top menu selection. Very attentive service and good value for money. Not cheap, but worth every franc.

We always ate very well and extensively. Great vegetarian dishes and family portions to share. It's very homely inside, although everything is very bright and open. And the mountain panorama is of course a dream.

Very disappointing, no comparison to last year. What a shame! New chefs? Unfortunately the food was very greasy and not fresh. French fries smelled very much like stale fat? Luckily the parmesan was good for our alpine farmers because the sauce had no taste. Unfortunately, our impression was that it was a pleasure and a tasteless kitchen service was a shame. The star is just for the view.

The location is very good as the ski racks are almost right next to the entrance and the restaurant is right on the ski slopes. Unfortunately you cannot pay with Twint here. Nevertheless, the view of the mountains and the surrounding landscape is very beautiful. I recommend the restaurant but you have to take some cash with you. Otherwise very good food!

After the waiting times were very long at the start of the season, this has now improved significantly. The food and service were very good, and the ambience was great, especially when the weather was nice. Even after 40 minutes of waiting, I couldn't place an order. For this reason I unfortunately cannot give a rating for the food.

So nice and modern ski resort restaurant with friendly stuff. The food is delicious, pleasant waiters give you a drink and a food and you can enjoy staying in the mountains. Busy at midday, so I recommend to visit for a lunch not at 12.00, but a bit earlier or later. For such a large number of people, they cope quickly Definitely recommend Triel 5+!

Very poor service and organization. Last year it was great and this year it was an absolute flop. Switching from self-service to service is one thing. But then so little staff. You have to come up with such an idea first. People inside and outside want to pay and can't because there is probably only one EC device, tables are not free and people who actually want to consume something can't find a place and leave again. That's exactly how you lose sales.

Nice view and a nice new building. The food is average. The service is very friendly, which creates a pleasant atmosphere. The prices are high but not different than usual in the region.

Extremely slow service. Wait staff disinterested. Food came so slowly that my stomach actually started digesting itself while we waited. Place wasn’t even busy. Hate to see it during school holidays. Expensive. #fail.

Sat at the seat at 12:55. After calling the staff four times, the order was placed at 1:19 p.m. The drinks arrived at 1:41 p.m. The food arrived at 2:15 p.m. (burger with fries) 2:40 pm pay quickly, after almost 2 hours of stolen skiing time. Definitely not recommended for a quick lunch. If you're hungry and can wait an hour and have time, it's fine.

Lunch was phenomenal. Everything was delicious. Very clean and tidy. Employees are friendly. I will come again 😊

“START OF THE SEASON” We were on the slopes right at the start of the season on Saturday, December 17th, 2022. After taking a look at the Triel mountain restaurant and the view of the beautiful panorama, we decided to stop there for lunch. Not only was the service staff very competent and friendly, but the food was also excellent and it was served to us very quickly! For this we get full marks with a big thank you to the entire crew and the extremely friendly host “Jan”, who personally took care of our well-being despite the full house. Thank you very much for that. We wish the Triel mountain restaurant continued success and say goodbye after a perfect start to the season. Best regards Karl family

1X NEVER again. When we arrived we could first wait until the coffee machine was ready and that at 11:30?! The food offer consisted of fries and bratwurst, are you serious!?! At first we thought it was a belated April Fool's joke. ANER also upon request from the service was informed that there was NO other food. What was the chef there for?? Our 10 year old daughter can do it better. The best thing of all came when we asked about the homemade loaf and the answer was immediately that it was sold out. So few guests and the homemade loaf was sold out, which was probably not something the chef wanted. UNFORTUNATELY it can no longer be compared to last year, which is a shame

Delicious menu and good food preparation

Great meal in a great place! Friendly and hospitable service. All three of us had a salmon sandwich, delicious freshly baked bread, fresh asparagus and generously topped with salmon, delicious dressing and garnish. Good range of delicious wines. The buffet offers a wide choice of freshly prepared meals, a hamburger is highly recommended! Quality high compared to other mountain restaurants we have been to. We will definitely come back!

Convenient stop at the slopes with great view and tasty food

Quality has decreased significantly this year. The menu selection is very narrow and not very diverse, even in high season. There is no longer any part served, no certificate check, the staff does not wear the mask at all or wears it incorrectly. It has also become more expensive. A pity! The food itself was i. O.

Was there for the first time on 12.13.2.22. It's a nice restaurant with good cuisine and I immediately felt at home. After the nice and friendly welcome from the gentleman who checked the certificates. I'd love to come back.

A cozy mountain restaurant with a beautiful terrace and a wonderful view. You can enjoy the view not only on the open terrace, but also on the closed one. The mountain restaurant is right on the slopes and the ski lift and can be reached either by ski lift or on foot if you want to plan a day of hiking. In addition, the food "Burg, fries...etc" is very tasty and the service is friendly and courteous.

Very difficult, easily discriminated against!

Unfortunately, the level has fallen sharply in every respect since 2020. On the first of several sunny days, the garden restaurant is covered in snow from the ground to the chairs to the tables, even after midday. The price level is high and in no way corresponds to the performance. For example, cooking is done with a lot of oil/fat. The cheesecake is good, but the salad garnish consists of a small pinch of chives, a very small bunch of sprouts and 2 cherry tomatoes for the price of CHF 17.00. No trace of sauce. The coffee machine for customer service was not in use. There are no drinks by the glass, despite the fact that there are only 3dl glasses. Minimal dessert offering. Certificate check = none. It's a shame about the once great mountain restaurant.

Corona situation very well adapted for guests!

Very nice ski resort stop with good vibes and people despite covid. No crowding, everyone is really respectfully keeping the rules. Both hot/cold food and drinks are available to take away. Hope next season it can open properly again with the nice sunny terrace! Super professional staff at the lift and at the restaurant as well.

Great offer even during the pandemic

Looked delicious, but only cash payment possible today!?! Probably landed in the wrong century ☹️ Update (answer): If the problem was the internet connection, you could have set up a hotspot with a mobile device. If it was the reader, I wonder why it doesn't have a backup device. You could also accept Twint if necessary (we asked two different employees at the restaurant twice whether this was not possible). I think there would be plenty of options whenever you wanted. Today you can no longer expect tourists to still carry around hundreds of francs in cash. The restaurant would have to be prepared for an emergency like this. My opinion. By the way, we were day tourists and couldn't truthfully answer "yes" to the question "Will you be back tomorrow?" For at least responding to this criticism (unfortunately not a given these days) there is definitely an additional star.

The new landlord - Jan - is really doing a great job and has improved the Triel enormously, especially in the current difficult Corona times. Finally someone who offers their customers a great product and service in Vella! Food varied and excellent. Prices okay and service efficient and friendly.

Winter, excellent view and completely new building. Fast and friendly staff. 2 steps from the chairlifts to and from Obersaxen.

Very good takeaway (due to Corona). Burgers, nuggets and fries were very good. As expected, the price is not cheap, but normal compared to other ski restaurants in the area. We'll definitely come by again.

Nice, large restaurant in the Val Lumnez/Obersaxen ski area. There is a staffed part and self-service. "We take all cards" - as long as it's not a postcard! TWINT is also not available.

Good family offer, modern yet cozy! Like so many ski restaurants, it could be a little cheaper.

The staff was very unfriendly. When we went to the restaurant with an injured child from my ski camp group to clean a wound, the staff very cheekily pointed out to us that the water we had brought with us (which I only used to rinse the wound) was not on the table allowed to stand. We were not offered any help...

Very very bad hospitality! Way overpriced! When a painter passed us with the chocolate melon we had to clean it ourselves!!! Just cheeky!!

This restaurant is separated into à la carte restaurant and self-service but the separation is difficult to see especially if it is your first time here. The self-service food was very good.

In the self-service area, the fries had been warm for a long time in the afternoon and were no longer fresh. It's a shame, because otherwise it's fine dining in a cozy atmosphere.

Restaurant at the middle station between Vella and Hitzeggen. Has direct connection to the slopes and the two ski lifts. If you don't want to take the lift, you can hike here from Morissen, Vattiz and Vella in winter. The signposted winter hiking trails are all leveled. Be careful with the summer hiking trail signs. These paths are difficult to dangerous in winter, depending on the amount of snow and avalanche warning level. In summer, Triel can also be reached by car via Vella. A hiking bus also runs regularly. Thanks to the very large panoramic windows (around 270° all-round visibility inside), the view is not only beautiful on the terrace. In winter you can watch the hustle and bustle on the slopes, and in summer you can see the agricultural operations in the fields. Triel is very well attended in winter and is also used by the lift staff and the ski schools for their lunch break. At the peak time (12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.) in winter it is difficult to find a place for groups. However, the kitchen opens earlier and still offers all dishes after 1:30 p.m. To German ears the prices seem very expensive. Compared to mountain restaurants, the prices are local. The food is so wide ranging from fast food to regional (Bündner Fleischplatte) that everyone can find something. The service is very friendly and helpful in summer and winter, both in the served part and in the self-service area. The toilets are exemplary clean despite the high frequency of use in winter. There is also a wicke table here. Overall, a clear recommendation, both for summer visitors and winter guests.

Beautiful and modern mountain restaurant with a great view. The food is delicious and not overpriced either. The service is always friendly and accommodating. However, if the boss is at the bar, you should order with “extra shot”.

Very good food. If there are a few more guests, one cook and one waitress are not enough. Very long waiting time...

The food is very good, what I don't like is that the Coca Cola is offered in 500 ml bottles for 5.50, but the guest is only served 450 ml bottles. If you ask the service employee why that is, here is the answer: Our menus were already printed when Coca Cola reduced the size of the containers (bottles) and the effort was too expensive and too great to reprint all the menus. When we asked why she couldn't bill her guests correctly based on consumption, we got the answer: They can have the boss's business card and call him. I have to say not very friendly to your guests since we usually bring their wages. Or do they work for free? Was there once and also the last time. Take my money to where the price and the goods are correctly stated.

Nice location. Modern rest. Unfortunately, you don't always feel wanted. You can't make a reservation and still there is a table marked "Reserved" Staff buffet and kitchen not really friendly and motivated. Stars are for location and furnishings.

Beautiful terrace with breathtaking views. Fine dishes (e.g. Pizokel) and no long waiting times. Also ideally accessible on foot. Prices are a bit high which is normal for such a tourist place. I'd love to come back.
