The Hotel Bergsonne is a small, family hotel in Rigi Kaltbad. The wonderful location at the upper edge of the village of Rigi Kaltbad with a wonderful view (when it's not foggy 😀) is fantastic. We had a fabulous girl hiking weekend at Hotel Bergsonne Rigi. All the 8 ladies in my group love everything about this mountain hotel. The view is amazing with the panorama view of lake and mountain. The location is perfect: alpine hiking trail to Rigi Klum starts just from the backyard (thanks to the tip from Pascal), the Rigi panorama cliff walk is just 10-15‘ away, Rigi Kaltbad spa and train station is 10‘ walk uphills. What make this hotel special is the professional and warm service from all the staff that we met here (from Pascal, to the chef and The general manager Andre). You can feel the difference from the personal care at this small mountain hotel comparing to the big hotel chain. The best customer services in Switzerland, this is the Swiss hospitality that I‘m looking for.

Tiramisu was nothing special. Overall average food. They have some good wine on offer.Service is not really good. The table was dirty when you arrived . I had to wait long until I got served, staff was not very attentive. And it was not a very busy day. I hope the new owner can improve the food and service as it is a very nice place.

Mein Mann hat das Saltimbocca mit Rosmarinkartoffeln gewählt und ich hab mir eine Pizza mit Parmaschinken und Rucola gegönnt. Wir haben selten so gut gegessen! Das frische Saltimbocca und die Pizza mit dem besten Teig den ich je hatte (luftig,locker aber doch knusprig)waren einfach der Wahnsinn! Dazu noch die aussergewöhnlich herzliche, frische und vorallem kompetente Bedienung und unser Besuch in der Bergsonne wurde zu einem äusserst positiven Erlebnis. Bevor wir gingen kam Alessandro dann auch noch mit einem Grappa um die Ecke und sogar einen Blick in die wunderbar saubere Küche durften wir erhaschen. Da das Essen so lecker war und die Portionen für den Preis gross waren, haben wir uns entschieden, dass hausgemachte Tiramisu beim nächsten Mal zu naschen. Wir freuen uns bereits jetzt schon sehr auf Alessandro, den Rest des Teams, die tolle Küche und die wunderschöne Aussicht! Vielen Dank und bitte weiter so!

Auch die Kellnerin war super, welche auch am Abend immer noch mega nett war. Leider waren wir am Abend nicht mehr begeistert. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 13 Leuten und haben dort auf der wunderschönen Terrasse gegessen. Die Aussicht war wirklich atemberaubend. Wir haben dann 2 Flaschen Wein bestellt und er hatte keinen weiteren davon mehr. Obwohl er bei der Bestellungsaufnahme gross gesagt hatte, ob wir gerade einen Karton Wein möchten. Okay, das ist ja nicht so schlimm. Er sagte dann, er mache uns ein super Angebot zu einem super Preis. Dann stellte er uns zwei angefangene Flaschen hin.
