Fantastic Italian Fish and Seafood Restaurant. I had a great Birthday there 😊

Sadly Zurich doesn’t pop up in my head as cities with amazing restaurants, but this one swayed me and I will definitely revisit. And even though it’s a wine place, the cocktails were great too.

If you only want to eat fish 🐟 in a magnificent setting of refined cuisine, attentive employees at more than reasonable prices, go eat at Bianchi, always a great pleasure

I was there for new year eve. There was no music at all, I do not know, maybe this is typical to Swiss, but being in restaurant for 4 hours without music on new year eve is really bad… the food was just not my type of, it was fish type, but mainly not cooked at all. In general my worst new year eve. And on top of that we ware sitting on same table with some other people that we do not know…

The food was quite good; we've had fish which was cooked really well, with the flavorful sauce and tiramisu for dessert, one of the best I've tried. However, the service was quite bad. It started with a very long wait for the menu, to the point where we were almost ready to stand up and leave, even though the place wasn't even half full, and missing bread basket from our table (while all other tables had it), the fact that was ignored the entire evening. Despite not having any bread on our table, at some point we were offered to take some from a common basket instead, which I refused, because I couldn't tell anything about its freshness, and overall this gesture felt rather awkward. When we finally were served, our waiter kept checking our table, taking/putting things from it constantly, when it was not at all necessary, which killed the intimate atmosphere and felt quite stressful. When accompanied with prices like in this place, it is usually expected to have a much higher level of service than what we've experienced that evening.

Don't ever come to this place! I was poisoned by the fish soup!! The food is more or less good, but when I came home after dinner in that restaurant, I was really terrible. Then, atmosphere in the restaurant... I have a reservation from 6pm to 7.30pm. At 7.29pm they brought us the bill without having asked anything, it was to make us understand that we have to leave. So, if you want to eat well and not feel that the staff is not happy to see you, choose another restaurant.

Very warm atmosphere for a romantic dinner. Service of impeccable quality, our hostess and the manager took great care. We will come back with pleasure to discover the other dishes on the menu 💜

Fantastic experience from beginning till the end. Very friendly and accommodating staff. You know it will be a great evening if you’re asked if you want a glass of Franciacorta 🍾for drinks and not Prosecco in an Italian restaurant 👌 I ordered the lobster tail for my first course, perfectly cooked and it went very well with the avocado 😋 Next of course the Linguine with lobster, so fresh so delicious 😍😋😋😋 As for my dessert I opted for a classic choice , the tiramisu, which came “gift wrapped” in chocolate with a chocolate powder crab. What an awesome combination 😎 Thank you for this wonderful dinner experience 👏👏👏

Incredible service from our waiter Fernando. He recommended dishes based on our personal palettes and wine pairings to match. Must try the oysters, turbot, spaghetti clams, and surprisingly the Chianti by the glass.

Culinary delights in an excellent location I recently had the pleasure of visiting this special restaurant for my birthday, which stands out for its central location and excellent accessibility. The service was first class - attentive, quick and professional, which made the experience all the more smooth and enjoyable. The menu, although small, impresses with carefully selected fish and seafood specialties that will delight every sea lover. The difference lies in the quality and freshness of the ingredients as well as the kitchen team's ability to brilliantly reinterpret authentic Italian dishes. The highlight of the culinary experience was of course the excellent wine selection, which included sparkling wines as well as white and red wines. The dishes were not only delicious and lovingly presented on the plate, but also optimally portioned. Thanks to the size of the dishes, we were full after eating but not overcrowded. In summary, the combination of delicious seafood, exquisite wines and attentive service makes this restaurant a place I would happily visit again and again. A must for every fresh fish and seafood lover!

The whole experience was pleasant until it got to paying. Since we then realised that not looking at the drinks menu and going with the staff recommendation can be surprisingly costly. We arrived separately, and as the second person arrived, they were asked multiple times if they wanted to join in having a sparkling wine, making them feel pressured into doing so. Not listening carefully enough, they got asked if they wanted to join in having a champagne, though the other person was having prosecco. Thus, the almost 20 chf glass of champagne was a surprice indeed on the bill. We got the seafood soup and cod, which were both very good. Though for serving a cod skin side up, I expect a crusty skin, which was not the case. The fish was, however, cooked to perfection. Dessert was a pleasant experience. For the pricetag, it still leaves something to be wanted. The absolute wow factor was missing. The staff was nice enough, though, perhaps because we sat close to the bar, they felt a little too overpresent for it to be a nice place for an intimate date. It was a special occasion, and the restaurant missed the mark in taking the opportunity and making us feel as such. Perhaps that is cultural difference, but a small gesture in the total scheme (such as a dessert/glass of wine for the birthday girl/boy etc.) would have had me wanting to return for other special occasions. As it is, even though food was good, I am unlikely to dine here again.

The food is nicely presented and ok (but not waw, which I was expecting given the high price). The service is very friendly though and at a good location. Overall I would have given 13/20 instead of 14/20 on the Gault Millau.

Very nice restaurant downtown at the river. Service is excellent, couldn’t have asked for more. Food was also great. Good for a lunch or dinner in a classy setting.

The fish here is superb. They have a large variety of seafood with mainly Italian dishes. The seafood stew was delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

I had Buratta for a starter and the seafood risotto, I would say this was one of the best Italin resturants I have ever tried in my life. Freash, flavourful food with friendly staff👍🏼

We were walk in’s for a Sunday lunch and were able to be seated immediately. For starters we shared the crab tartare with tuna steak and wild mushrooms, this dish was very good, perfectly displayed, with delicious crab and tuna. For mains, we had the lobster linguini (small size) which was delicious and fresh; and the only non-fish dish from the restaurant, the burrata and spinach cappellacci in a delicious refreshing butter sauce. Over all the food was 5 stars, which I would only expect for the price.

They got me a table for lunch without reservation. The service was good. The tuna was cold at the center despite a warm crust and what should have been a medium cooking but that's all right, it was delicious anyways. From sitting to paying was probably 30min, with only one dish. Impressively fast for the quality of the place. There are not a lot of young people around, despite the atmosphere being a clear fit for dates.

All delicious, very attentive to customer needs. Spaghetti al DENTE which is rare in Zurich. Restaurant also suitable for families with small children. Very kind staff. Thank you we had a nice afternoon.

Great cozy Italian restaurant in Zurich. Great, you can also enjoy a great meal in the afternoon. The starters were very tasty. The branzino fresh is wonderfully fine and split up great for the three of us. Service very attentive, friendly, friendly, Italian but also German-speaking service employees at all times. We felt very comfortable .

Very customer friendly and good service

We ate very well and the fish was of very good quality. As for the atmosphere, the restaurant is noisy and not at all codified and pleasant. The worst was the service and the atmosphere of stress felt and created by all the servers. In fact, they do several services per table and rush people because the kitchen closes at 9:30 p.m.… really very unpleasant atmosphere. Value for money too expensive for a factory

Perfect food of excellent quality with courteous service!

It is my favorite restaurant in Zürich. The service is excellent. The food is delicious and the atmosphere of the place is very calm. Paulo makes you feel really welcome to that place.

Where do I even start? I am traveling solo through the country and I like to splurge on a nice dinner towards the end of my journey which happens to be Zurich. Read some nice reviews and decided to try this place out. I walked in behind an older couple (maybe 65-70 years old) and they were quickly sat by a male server without asking for a reservation name or checking the tablet for a name. When the sever returned to the front I asked for a table of one and he point to who I assume is Mr. Paulo Alexandre. Mr. Alexandre told me they were fully booked and I cannot dine in unless I have a reservation but I can sit outside at one of the empty tables if I like. So I chose to do that. However the older couple in front of me had no issues getting a table by the server. Now the food was amazing but the service was less then stellar. I don't know why the server (I don't know her name, but she was Italian) treated me so poorly, maybe because I look young and dining alone, so she assumed I can't afford it? I guarantee you I can afford a nice dinner when I want. I asked for a wine list, I never received. I was never informed of the specials, but the table next to me were told the specials. I was only offered one piece of bread while the table next to me were offered more. Whatever the reason was, she shouldn't judge a guest by what they look like (or dressed like) or if they are dining alone. After paying $117 USD (99 Francs) for my one meal and one dessert, I still tipped 15 Francs. As someone who has been in the hospitality industry for 20+ years, I always leave a tip, even if I was treated poorly or like a child. Unfortunately, the amazing food was overshadowed by the terrible service which created an unfavorable atmosphere. Let this be a warning to those who travel/dine solo, that you may not receive the same service as others.

Every time I look for a restaurant, either to eat with business associates or just to have a good time for personal business, I always end up coming back to this place and have never been disappointed. This place isn't cheap, but I always have the best memories of it.

Once again top! Always experience a short break there like on the Mediterranean! Top products, top preparers! the crustacean plate is a dream! I would have one small improvement, the leaf spinach with a little garlic and sautéed onion would be awesome!

Bianchi stands for high-quality fish and seafood cuisine. And yes, the quality was excellent. I would have liked a little more sophistication with the starter (crab), which was good but nothing more. I found the service to be very technical. A little more empathy would enrich the experience. The ambience in the restaurant is certainly not intoxicating, the tables are close together and the background noise is considerable when the house is full. But if you want to eat good fish, this is the place for you.

Another one of my go to places in Zürich, especially if you are looking for a good restaurant with Italian cuisine. The location is perfect, very easy to find and close to the Limmat. The service is always very friendly. The food is amazing; the food quality is top-notch. I can't think of anything to complain. I will definitely come back:)

Good food, bad service. It was kind of embarrassing because my guest was quite important to me. I wanted to treat her for a good meal. I hope it’s not because we were 2 Asian women…

It was our anniversary dinner. We walked in with no reservations and were treated very nicely by our server and the manager. The food was delicious and priced appropriately for the quality it was. A very nice experience in a great location allong the river.

We had a fantastic Italian meal here. The lobster solid was amazing- perfectly grilled with a glaze of olive oil and vinegar. For my main course. I had this spaghetti and clams, which was also very good. We had a wonderful server who was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend coming here for Italian food with a seafood emphasis. I also had my first ever white wine merlot.

The food was outstanding, very fresh fish and tasty sides. I got a fish with black rice and the rice was so tasteful even when it was plain. The salad was nice with the lobster, but it was mostly lobster and not really the salad 🥗 service and quality is just amazing! Best spot for fish in Zurich. Fine food that is delicious and served hot. Jessica, the waitress, is helpful and exceptionally knowledgeable about the dishes. She speaks good English and is able to answer our queries. We had lobster soup (rich & good), spaghetti with seafood (they are flexible in switching risotto (in the menu) to spaghetti) and the sea bass. Generous with the seafood in the spaghetti. The fish is very fresh and comes with spinach & brown rice. Though the price is a little steep, the food is of high quality. We are so happy with the food and decided to make a reservation for dinner two days later - for the sea bass !

Recommended by our concierge at Hotel Storchen, Bianchi was the perfect choice for our first dinner in Switzerland. Gorgeous interior with huge windows and very comfortable furniture. Elegant and refined service, without at all being stuffy. The fish entrees were AMAZING. Perfectly prepared and inventive. The bread basket was so good, we wanted to take some rolls back to our hotel! (But honestly we were too full from the fabulous dinner) . Highly recommend Bianchi when visiting Zurich.

Visited again after a very long time. From the offering to the quality of the food to the very professional, attentive and friendly service to the beautiful location, everything is really 5 stars. The service is particularly noteworthy. Something that is not a given in Zurich. I assume because, to put it simply, well managed. Probably the best fish restaurant in Zurich. The prices are at the top end, but considering that everything is just right, it's still ok. Small criticism is definitely allowed. The chairs outside should have armrests for such a restaurant. Maybe you'll think about it the next time you make a purchase. Still coming back.

I regularly visit Bianchi a few times a year and it remains the best fish restaurant in Zurich. I recommend anything with lobster... tiramisu... you simply can't go wrong. Impeccable service as well.

This review is specifically for customer service not the food. We were eager to try this place for my mom’s birthday coming up and I came in today around 12pm to get the gift card. The manager was first confused as to what are we asking for, and then he nervously said several times we should come back because it is too complicated for him to sell a gift card at this time. Specifically he said ‘well I need to go to the office and get it, come back come back’ and was eager to see us leave. Thus I cancelled our reservation for my mom’s birthday lunch, and will probably never go back to this place, as the customer service leaves a lot to be desired, especially from the shift manager.

A great experience, the food is delicious, the soul of the lobster bibimbap is the delicious soup. The toilet is very clean! The baby stool is also very considerate.

Our party of seven had a great dining experience. From grilled scallops to linguini with lobster, spaghetti with hard clams and seared tuna -- it was all great. Best part was kids get anything for 15 francs.

Great!! We loved this place. The dishes we choose where delicious and for this reason in two days we where in Zurich we went to Bianchi restaurant twice! The service was great and fast. Nice place to go to have lunch or to drink a good wine and have a great dinner too.
