Bistro Hanoi in Dübendorf

This is such a wonderful place! First of all the welcoming atmosphere and a very kind owner couple working side by side! The food was fantastic! We were 4 people and all 4 of us agreed that everything we ordered was delicious! The place itself was very cozy and well located. This is a MUST try!

Greetings ok, no farewells when paying. en guetä or something like that while eating? After studying the menu for only vegetables with rice and no meat, fish or tofu, the owner explained to me exactly what I wanted. various fresh vegetables with rice at szuchan. Sauce tasted sweet at first before spicy. Despite ginger production in Switzerland, the tea unfortunately comes as a bland imported tea bag. Totally 21.- just with vegetables too expensive for what is on offer. a shame for the pretty, well-located restaurant.

We love coming here as a family. Warm hosts and they always try their best to serve us well. The food reminds us of our good times spent in the far east.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem... So lucky to have it in our neighborhood! The food is authentic and simply delicious, hands-down the best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. The owners are really warm and friendly - You can feel how much they care and everything is made with love. Definitely worth a trip to Dübendorf!

The fish sauce made my fave Summer spring roll so much better. I liked the beef pho. The beef was tender and the soup was tasty! * Please don't get me wrong. I'm sure most of your guests prefer the hoisin sauce, I just prefer the fish sauce more. ☺️

The owner is very friendly and the food is so good, especially the Nem Rán Hà!!! I've never had Vietnamese rolls this good anywhere else.

As our favorite vietnamese restaurant was closed on Thursday, I accidently found this one as an alternative. And wow, the food here was sooo good 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 From appetizer to dessert, I really enjoyed all food here. Friendly staff, cozy restaurant and delicious food :) We will definitely come back

Never again. First time I have put a negative comment on a restaurant, but here we felt insulted. What a disappointment, after coming here several times and enjoying the authentic cuisine. Today I went there with my daughter and a friend to show her the place. My friend found 2 hairs in her soup, which couldn't be hers because they were different. She continued to eat a little, after the first hair found (removed from the soup and put on the ground). At the 2nd hair, found deeper in the soup, she stopped eating but didn't say anything because she didn't want to spoil the meal for us. When my daughter and I finished, she shared her findings with me. The soup was barely half eaten. We tell the waiter, almost no reaction. He will say it in the kitchen without much conviction, and we see that they look at us with suspicion. The cook comes and asks us where the hair is!!! We explain to him that they were removed and put on the ground. The bill arrives and the soup has not been removed. Not even a gesture (half for example, or a free drink whatever, but a gesture!). Nothing. When we leave I go to see them, after reluctantly paying the entire bill, telling them that it's not normal to pay for a soup that you couldn't eat because you found something in it. hair ! (The cook does not wear a net or anything). And there, as amazing as it may seem, we get yelled at! The boss becomes hysterical and yells at us. She asks us again to show the hair. Great madness. As if we had tried not to pay for one of the dishes by inventing a story. I would have understood (possibly) such annoyance if we had refused to pay for the dish. But to insult us like this just because we make a remark when we have still paid for an inedible dish is scandalous. Beneath her honeyed smiles, a hostile woman bordering on reason. My daughter was shocked. I will not set foot there again and will warn all the people to whom I have praised this place.

Hello, I went for lunch this afternoon in this restaurant with a friend and her 8 year old daughter. My friend praised this little restaurant, telling me that it was good and authentic. We started with a delicious starter. I unfortunately discovered a hair on two occasions and I did not dare to say anything so as not to spoil the pleasure of my friend and her daughter who were enjoying the meal (which was indeed fresh and good). However, I could not finish my meal , disgusted by the 2 hairs that I found (I insist on the fact that they are not my hair and that the cook was not wearing a charlotte (open kitchen)). I spoke about it to my friend who wanted to say it to the owner (with my permission. I don't speak the language at the moment) He referred it to the cook and certainly owner of the place too, who had a hysterical reaction. We were extremely shocked by this behavior (it is important to point out that my friend had paid for our meal). The lady was gesticulating and screaming. We couldn't talk to her, she was screaming so much. We had to rush out while she was still screaming. In addition, I actually have thick hair that was tied up and the hair that I found was thin. I actually coughed because the soup was very spicy. So I did not use chili pepper as the owner indicated. Ultimately all of this is not important: the most important thing is to have been treated like this, to have had to leave this restaurant, worried and shocked by the hysterical cries of this lady, worried about my friend's child who is 8 years old. years old who didn't understand this scene. I regularly post reviews on Google and they are 100% very good. This is the first time I have given a negative review as I am so shocked by this lady's behavior. Of course we won't go back there again.

Really the hidden gem. Feel very blessed that this restaurant is located in Dübendorf where I live, not in Zürich center. You won't be able to find out this much of cost performance at anywhere else in Zürich area. Super good taste with a decent volume, and very good price.

One of my favorite restaurants. All soups are fantastic and recommended! My favorites are the Bun Bo Hue soup and the Vietnamese rolls Nem Rán Hà Nội. The ingredients are always fresh. Very dear hosts.

Had the dumplings and they were fantastic. Completely inconspicuous place from the outside. Once inside you feel comfortable and eat very well!

Very delicious food here, a real hidden gem. It was quiet when we came here on a Monday around lunch time. The owners were very friendly and we ordered the papaya salad, banh xeo and pho bo. All three were very flavorful. Not fancy, but just really good food. For dessert we had the che banh lot and it was a great rounding off of the meal.

Excellent new restaurant in Dübendorf! Fresh products cooked on demand. Nems perfectly fried and really good! Like the rest but it's been a while I did not have this feeling and taste. Not so easy to find but clearly a hidden jewel. I wish that quality will continue once they start having more clients.

We had a delicious papaya salad and pho bo soup! It is a tiny place but very welcoming and everything is cooked by the owner and his wife. Its on our favorite places around Zurich now. Fully deserve the 5 stars.

My wife and I are absolute fans of this restaurant. You can feel the passion and dedication of the owners for their small, high-quality company. The food is excellent and the service is very friendly. You leave with the feeling that you want to come back at any time.

This is not a typical Asian snack bar, because it is freshly cooked and very tasty. Comfortably furnished inside, would love to come back.

Very good small restaurant. Everything is freshly cooked. Also good Swiss red wine available, correct price. The premises are hidden in the Dübendorf City Center. In German: Klein aber fein. Gerne Wieder In French: Excellent little restaurant. Everything is fresh. Whether you choose the Omelette (Banh Xeo), grilled bacon (Banh Hoi Heo Quay), Vietnamese rolls (Banh Hoi Heo Quay) Duck or soups (Pho) you will not be disappointed.

A small, fine restaurant. The food is very good, in addition to classics of Vietnamese cuisine, there are also some specials that are worth trying. If you are interested you can watch the cooking. The host couple are very friendly and put in a lot of effort. We left the place happy and will definitely be back soon.

What can I say, we have been here several times already and they have always surprised us with their delicious dishes! Small place run by a husband and wife, both great, very kind and it almost feels like being in Vietnam because they managed to make it a small diamond in the center of Dübendorf. We will definitely be back to try other dishes!

What a gem! The Pho Bo is definitely worth a trip to Dübendorf. They also have local wine on their menu which pairs perfectly with the food. I will be back for sure.

Our secret favourite place in the neighborhood. Have been to many Vietnamese restaurants in Zurich and this bistro has the best pho that our kid loves. Other dishes are so delicious too! Authentic food and so nice atmosphere.

This Vietnamese restaurant is a little gem in Dübendorf and the region. Unfortunately it's a bit hidden in an unfortunate location but that's just how it is with these rough diamonds. The sophisticated flavors, great portion sizes along with the prices make the Bistro Hanoi an insider tip. Hopefully it won't stay like this for long and will become a popular address for Dübendorf residents. We look forward to the next visit.

Since I've only been living in Dübendorf for a short time, I was particularly happy when I discovered a Vietnamese restaurant right around the corner and I wasn't disappointed! Super fine Pho Bo, just the smell took me straight back to my beloved Vietnam - the Nem rolls and the slightly spicy soup were also incredibly tasty, the Banh Mi was even better than what I had eaten in Hanoi. We'll definitely come back, next time we'll be happy to eat directly in the restaurant instead of "just" take-away. Keep it up, good and authentic Vietnamese food is so rare in Switzerland, and when it is, you can hardly afford it - you are the perfect exception😊

Fantastic food! The noodle soup with beef (home-made broth cooked for 10 hours) is food for the soul. Also the homemade meat rolls as a starter or the summer drink with lime and raw egg - oh… wonderful. It's always delicious here. Great hosts with heart. A little hidden in the passage, small, but all the better.

Charming little Vietnamese restaurant in Dübendorf. The food tastes excellent and is freshly prepared (the preparation of the food can be followed directly). The dessert Che Troi Nuoc is particularly recommended. Parking spaces are available in the area.

We discovered Bistro Hanoi by chance. Since we were already traveling in Vietnam, we couldn't resist and sat down. Beautifully and tastefully decorated bistro. What really impressed me was the fact that the boss personally stands at the stove and cooks authentically. Our menus were prepared very quickly and tasted excellent. Very nice owner couple.

Authentic - I can confirm that even as a Vietnamese 😉 The food was very tasty, the portions maybe a bit small for a man, but the prices are also moderate. You can try the starters and desserts, it's worth it. Chi Huyen cooks all by herself, which is very impressive. The restaurant is beautiful, clean and we felt very comfortable there! We would be happy to come back and wish the host couple a good start!
