Boccalino, menu in Lausanne

A Burrata pizza without parmesan, without arugula,... but with tomato sauce!! The pizzas on Monday at €15 have nothing to do with the pizzas on other days! Too bad we weren't warned!! It's a real disappointment!

I have been in the restaurant on a Saturday night with my son, we have been accommodated to a table straight away. The service was good and food arrived in time, the waiter was always very prompt on all our requests. There was an error on my Quattro Formaggi, under the cheese layers there was a layer of pepperoni and ham, not sure why, I was too tired me and my son on that evening and I didn't want to raise any complain, I'm not vegetarian, I did checked online the menu and there is no such pizza in the menu, so I don't know what was happening... also on the Margherita ordered for my son the cheese was a bit too much, in excess... I'm hopping my review is constructive for the business and thank you for the prompt service offered on the Saturday night.

Our restaurant experience today was disappointing, and NULLLLLLLL. Despite placing our order at noon, we waited until 1 p.m. without being served. The tables around us, who arrived after us, were served before us. The waiter assured us that we would be served quickly, but that was not the case. I asked another waiter and the excuse which made me laugh: 8 people ordered the same thing and as a result It's going to take longer!!!!!!!!! Plus we didn't even receive our drinks. The attitude of the waiter, who was on edge and even addressed us informally, was also inappropriate. At 1:20 p.m. we left the restaurant and nothing was ready yet, even the drinks and table service. In short, this experience was marked by a lack of professionalism and staffing, and we hope that steps will be taken to improve the situation in the future.

Without reservation on a Sunday lunchtime, we were able to have a table for 6 and with a good welcome. The dishes were good. The pistachio pizza is original :). And a little extra: The boss offered the children some paper and pencils to keep them waiting. I will return with pleasure.

And the cuisine... everything is made with fresh food, from starters to main courses. The pizzas were wonderful (all) with divine dough... It's once again a delight to find yourself in a good, no-frills Italian restaurant with good people. Thank you for this evening that we will repeat until we are no longer hungry and thirsty.

So here we are in Lausanne on vacation for 3 days. We looked for an Italian restaurant for this evening. We stopped at this restaurant. Without reservation we nevertheless obtained a table immediately after a very friendly and very spontaneous welcome. The menu is very good, we ordered a salad, a pizza and half chicken. Everything was excellent and cooked to perfection and arrived quickly. Even our coffees were excellent. A big thank you to our waiter Tristan who, in addition to being very friendly, totally masters his work. I come to Lausanne regularly for work and will 100% come back. Thank you for everything to the team and I recommend this place 1000%

Very good restaurant! The spinach-ricotta cannelloni and the truffle pizza are excellent!! We were able to eat from 5:30 p.m.!!

The service seemed very bad. Not nice behaviour from the waiter. The way how he greeted, seated us and prepared utensils was not nice. Tried 3 pizzas and all of them were undercooked and the dough also seemed weird. The topping were good though.

Very good cuisine offered there. I went there with my partner. We had the bruschetta as a starter which was delicious. And pasta as a main course, served in generous portions. The only downside was the time it took to be served but the coffees were offered to us in return.

Magnificent place, super attentive and very pleasant waiters, fast service, and exquisite flavors, we had the 4 cheese pizza and the fried calamari accompanied by two glasses of Swiss wine and everything was delicious! A place to return to, thank you for such excellent treatment.

I haven't eaten here for a year or two and unfortunately I found the pizza to be heavy and in fact I had trouble after eating it, I felt bloated. It's a shame because before it was impeccable. Update: two with my wife with stomach cramps, yes you deserve a star because I can't give zero.

Dinner on a Sunday evening as part of the Lausanne Marathon: What a nice surprise! We were really satisfied with the service which was exceptional, it must be noted: The whole team is smiling, caring and professional, in fact it has been a long time since we have been served this well. If you want to eat a good, very good, or even excellent pizza, I recommend “Le Boccalino”. Fresh ingredients, wonderfully crafted pizza dough! For my part, the “salmone” pizza is a real treat!

Italian restaurant and, as such, bustling! It is not the best place for a romantic dinner. It is the ideal place to eat tasty Italian-style pizzas and typical dishes from that country. It is the ideal place to go with friends and have a fun time! It has a living room on the first floor, ideal for celebrating birthdays and having meetings and a lot of noise. Downstairs, the tables are very close and the movement is intense. Therefore, it is to eat relaxed, without pretensions of solemnity. The food is varied and tasty and the service is very pleasant and friendly. You can also order take away pizza. Good place!!!

Restaurant just good. Too many stars for the quality observed. Pizza cooked in an electric oven. Without interest. Uninteresting caprese. Rigatoni with pesto just right, on which they placed a small burrata made very far from Puglia. Everything is done very correctly but without interest. Avoid for gourmets.

Very very mediocre. Eatable pizza but lacking the taste of Italy. Burrata and tomatoes TOTALLY devoid of taste, fortunately it's the season and in the supermarket it's better... We just have the feeling of eating in a restaurant that saves money to make maximum profit. As a result, it has ABSOLUTELY NO INTEREST. Go eat at another Italian place.

The pizzas are delicious. Fortunately, because the waiting times are staggering during busy periods. I waited more than 50 minutes before being served, while people who arrived after me were served before. A waiter even brought me a dish that I had not ordered, which highlights the lack of organization. I actually had to ask a waitress for the card after waiting 10 minutes at my table after my arrival. The restaurant is very noisy, so the atmosphere is not very pleasant.

My friends and I went to there last night for dinner, we ordered EGGPLANT TORNITO, LASAGNA, Pizza half MARGHERITA half Vegetarian. The food and service was amazing. The perfect “tourist trap”!! Last week, dinner with friends without reservation. Privileged location, a stone's throw from the lakeside. The pizzas look satisfying. For my part, I tried the breaded escalopes... scandalous!! 2 hard slices bathed in oil. Dehydrated green beans between 3 tasteless carrots. Only the fries were edible, but probably also frozen? Cold welcome, very slow service, I didn't dare try dessert. Too bad given the strong competition around! I will not come back

We ate at this restaurant last week, we ordered 2 pizzas and a plate of pasta. Everything was relatively good overall but nothing transcendent. The young waiter is very polite and attentive. On the other hand, the person who, I think, is the manager put pressure on us to order quickly because the kitchen was going to close, while he himself invited us to enter his establishment. Our cutlery was quickly placed on a table. We didn't feel very comfortable.
