One of our favorite restaurants. A bit disappointed that the Grilled Salmon I ordered to be just Medium was a bit dried already. As I was very hungry, I didn't bother complaining as it would have meant I would wait again. To be fair, my companions ordered additional appetizers when your team was about ready to serve our mains. You probably had to keep my Salmon warm...which resulted to the well done texture of the fish. It would have helped if the waiter offered to serve the mains that were already ready. Nevertheless, we appreciated the attentiveness of one of our waiters who quickly provided a spoon without our instructing him when he noticed one of our companions looking for a spoon.

The establishment has been an institution in Geneva for many years. The typical charm of the famous Parisian brasseries is there. The service is very professional while being friendly. We had an excellent evening. The menu is extremely varied and extensive, you will definitely find what you are looking for. We opted for the cordon bleu and the Milanese escalope. A treat for the taste buds. However, it should be noted that the price is commensurate with the place, or high. Count 55.- for each of these dishes. I must admit that I was a little disappointed, at that price, to see that the fries were not homemade. We tasted the legendary millefeuille and it must be said that its reputation is worth the tasting. An address to recommend for enjoying quality dishes in a “Parisian brasserie” atmosphere in the heart of Geneva.

Excellent experience at Lipp. The snails (on a plate NOT in the shell) were excellent. The muscle bowl was good and well worth enjoying but could have had a bit more punch. The desserts were to die for. I had the floating island which is the ultimate for Caramel lovers and my wife had profitarols with chocolate ice cream and chocolate sauce which was the ultimate for chocolate lovers. Service was friendly and efficient.

My partner booked here for our engagement celebration dinner and stated that when booking online,there was nothing extra added to the dinner,would have been nice to make our evening extra special. We also booked for a set time and when we arrived we had to stand in the hallway and wait and extra few minutes to be seated while other people came in and got seated right away which was a little annoying. We ordered the fish pie and steak with mash,my steak wasn’t cooked medium more medium rare and mash was cold,the fish pie was nice. Dessert was the best part! We got the profiteroles which had ice cream and warm chocolate sauce and the chocolate mousse. Service was a little slow but staff were very friendly and nice! Very affordable dinner at about €100 for both including two mains,two waters and two desserts,only downside is the tables are super squashed and you have to pull out the table to sit in the banquette area. Very traditional French food and decor was timeless!

Excellent on all points, top food, service and great atmosphere. We loved it…until we paid! I had a restaurant choice card (announced when booking and upon arrival at the restaurant). When paying, I was told that there was only 100.- on the card. I insisted on the fact that there was 200.-! I got a little upset, so I didn't insist. I checked the balance once outside, guess…I have 100.- left! Super disappointed, because I had to advance charges that I hadn't anticipated on my credit card!

We booked to be in the rotunda room, we were placed in the noisiest room in the establishment, the steak inedible, pepper sauce without any taste. The sauerkraut with dry cold meats looks like it was reheated, fortunately the service was efficient. Too bad for us friends arriving from abroad that we wanted to introduce them to a mythical place in Geneva and that we saw a strange place where it was impossible to talk to each other. We left without having dessert or coffee, the meal was so unpleasant.

Food was amazing! Really one of the best places I’ve been for delicious French food. We kicked this off with an oysters sampler, super fresh and the vinaigrette was delicious. We asked for 2 glasses of house champagne to go with it which was sweet and fresh as well. We continued with half a dozen of escargot and oh my god, best I’ve ever had. They had a citrus flavor that I’ve never experienced before. Again, paired with house champagne. For main course we asked the entrecot for 2, with fries. I paired it with a marvelous 2016 Bordeaux Greyson, very oaky and with texture. My husband asked a 2021 Borgogne red which was bold and fragrant. To finish things up, we asked for tiramisu and crème brûlée. Both deserts were amazing. In general a great place, if a little bit crowded (which I appreciate because they accommodated us without a reservation :))

Absolutely delicious! The chicken with cream sauce and morels and French onion soup we had as a starter were incredibly good, and the mussels and fries were just fine, though not necessarily the best I’ve had. The service was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the small burner candles they put on the table to keep your food warm while you ate! Very clever addition for the colder months where you just want to chat and stay cozy over dinner. The decor is clean and classy, though it does get a bit loud with the tile floors, so come a bit earlier if you’re looking for a quieter night out.

Unhappy staff can be dangerous. Table of four. This restaurant is an institution,it's a pity that service was so poor last time we went there. Management&staff problems need to be battled out in private in this TOWN, not in front of customers! Your waitress was on strike, her shift was over yet she was being asked to serve a a few more tables. She was in a hurry to remove our plates, dropped food from another table on her way to the kitchen and didn't even stop to pick it up . The list goes on... We had empathy for her even if her behaviour was unpro.

I've been eating at Lipp for 20 years and mostly during busy times (e.g. Escalade). Last night was not busy. Typically, orders are respected and the dishes are hot. This time it was the opposite. The lobster bisques were lukewarm and it was clear that the bisques had been left in the kitchen too long since there was a crust on top. Regarding the dishes, the oysters and the salmon tartare were very well prepared. Unfortunately, the order for Venetian veal liver was replaced with veal kidneys with mustard. Fortunately, I like both but..... Let's see if we come back another time.

Super Restaurant, where we had dinner, and spent a very good evening with our son & his wife on this last day of the year, Sunday December 31, 2023. The atmosphere of the restaurant is excellent, the impeccable service with a nice, friendly server with a pleasant sense of humor. A variety of refined dishes composed of fish, seafood, excellent meats and poultry. After an excellent aperitif. We chose: as Starters - Avocado Vinaigrette < Mimosa > and hard-boiled egg with soft-boiled yolk & country bread - Burgundy-style snails with parsley and garlic butter - Roche Méditerranée Rouille fish soup, croutons, grated gruyere. In Dishes: - Roasted Scallops lobster and feuillantine sauce with buttered leeks - A Darling of the Sea (succulent) - Canadian Lobster Thermidor Style stuffed with spinach and baked in the oven. Rice pilaf. - Grilled Label Rouge Salmon Steak (Scottish salmon) Béarnaise sauce. Seasonal vegetables and roasted apples with fleur de sel - And for desserts: Millefeuille with chestnut cream & a scoop of chestnut ice cream. - Floating Island with Salted Butter Caramel Custard and pieces of nougatine Everything was tasty from start to finish of the meal, a delight for the taste buds, and the presentation a pleasure for the eyes. Having come to Lipp Genève many times over many years, we always love the atmosphere and the fast service despite the excitement. A downside however this day because it seems to me that for a Parisian brasserie the fries should be served crispy and hot whereas they were brought soft and lukewarm. It's a shame.
