Britannia Pub in Genève

We stopped for a round of beers as we still had a few minutes to wait for the train. The service was friendly and the pub is very quaint and cozy. Sports are playing on the televisions and Irish music is playing from the speakers. What more do you want. Since we were there in the early afternoon, there were fewer people there. We didn't eat anything.

Ate there as a Solo traveller, staff really made me feel welcome and immediately put me at my ease. Food was fresh and tasty.

Hui on the outside, yuck on the inside... lousy atmosphere and lousy food. The service was caring, the food took a long time to arrive, the fries were okay, the burgers were bad, as was the strange music.

It was a bit crazy busy so the service was off a little but the server was very kind and the food was fantastic!

The pub is very nice. I recommend eating in the room at the back on the left because otherwise the place is a little too noisy.

Expected a tourist trap near the train station but got fantastic food and beer, real pub atmosphere, and great staff! 10/10

I went there to eat and drink a Spritz with my boyfriend and I was not disappointed! I think they make the best Spritz in all of Geneva! We also ate fried squid which were excellent (and their sweet and sour sauce too!) and burgers which we also really liked! A superb experience that I highly recommend!

Went here with my partner it was partially empty sat down no menus wasn’t greeted when someone came over they said we’d have to sit outside in the cold there was 6-7 empty tables in the pub… If you want a good British bar go to Flanagans

Good food and pleasant atmosphere

I didn't try the food but it seems a nice sports bar. Due to it's central location and close to hotels, it loses a bit the feel of a local bar.

A diversity spot but for adults.

Excellent alternative when the brewers are armored like that evening.

In Britannica Pub, there is the best food I have ever eaten in any pub in the world. Try the salmon or the lamb - it blows your mind off - just incredibly good.

Pub with good choice of beers. Dated and classic atmosphere for a pub. Welcoming and friendly service. Hamburgers a bit anonymous and thin. Televisions with football matches and various sports. Prices in line with the area.

So maybe it wasn't the right day, not the right time... But the atmosphere wasn't there: the location on the edge of a busy road and the lack of space on the terrace didn't help. doesn't fix anything. In short, it wasn’t great, maybe it will be better next time :)

A typical old English pub. The bar man spoke both English and French. TVs showing different sports. Didn't eat there but the menu looked good. Accepted various currency in note form only.

After a week of eating in Val d'Isere the food here was lacklustre. Breakfast was ok. Dinner was very ordinary.

The place is cozy with enjoyable music. The staff are super friendly and nice. The food is delicious and the alcohol is well-done. Loved it. Recommended.

A perfect place to spend a nice moment between two connections for example, as was the case for me. I suppose in the evening the pub is also lively. Very friendly and attentive staff, and a good, hearty burger. The coffee is very good too, and good selection of beers. In short, a good address!

Warm, chilled out pub with friendly welcoming staff

I arrived in Geneva after a difficult two weeks and was greeted by the Britannia not 1 minute after walking out the train station. 1L beer, friendly staff who made such an effort to speak English as my French is basic at best, great atmosphere and, without a doubt, one - if not - the best burgers i have ever had. I don't know if it was the beer, my exhaustion or the burger itself but wow wow wow! People were watching me enjoy the heck out of this burger, I couldn't care less. What a way to start my travelling journey through Europe. 5 stars because 8 isn't an option

It is a very well located place, since the train station is right in front and it gives you the possibility of having Wi-Fi if you are a traveler and need it. Very good local beer in many types of sizes. There is also fast food. I really liked the site. Very easy to understand with the waiters

Staff is friendly and available. They have a very good burger for a fast meal, not expensive for the local prices. Lots of beer options from many different countries. Outside you can enjoy the rush of the people around the rail station, that keeps you busy if you are alone having a beer. Take into account the typical client is not very fancy compared with other places, so if you are looking to something fancy this is not best option.

The pub needs a big refresh. The carpet and seats smell of smoke.

Very relaxed ambience. The prices are reasonable and the bartenders are friendly. The beer selection menu is displayed at a convenient location. There are some big tables which might fit around a group of 15+. They have some good selection of spirits. Be sure to ask them if you have something in mind.

Quaint pub with really good chilled draft beer. Always a “beer of the month” on tap. Absolutely fine for the location and the general price structure here in Geneva. Staff very friendly and prompt. I can only recommend.

Best pub in geneva to watch football

The beer is good, the setting is nice with the terrace overlooking the church. But the service needs to be reviewed + beware of the scam of paying in euros. I had some for 17.50 CHFR, I gave a 20EUR note and I didn't get my change...

Britannia Fish & Chips (Perch Fillets, Shrimp tails in breadcrumbs and fried calamari). Instead of the classic fish and chips (which they serve here also), I went for the mixed version in this English Pub that has a range of beers on tap. Good place to be if there is a live footballl match going on too.

Good atmosphere, great staff...and lots of very good snacks

07/18/2022 3:30 p.m. I enter the bar, the waiter stares at my partner because she is going to the toilet and mutters something, it's already off to a good start, then we are given a menu and explained to us that we have to order at the bar, ok. I go to the bar and the only waiter (or boss I don't know) is smoking outside while we are just waiting to order a drink in this heatwave, finally we leave. In short, there is everything to review, there are motivated people looking for work.

The beer we drank there was very cold. You could sit outside, but it is not really spacious but sufficient

Basic English pub in Geneva centre. There are screens to watch sports. Also a good meeting place to meet friends before setting out for the night.

A must in cosmopolitan Geneva, where since at least 1970 we have met people from here and elsewhere, all of whom are characters from John Le Carré, some of whom we find at 7 a.m. in the cafeteria from the station for a last coffee before going to bed to spend this Swiss Sunday
