Service very friendly. Unfortunately, the food is no longer that good: Ribeye steak very gristly/not so good quality, the fries very greasy, the Café de Paris sauce pure fat with no taste, the Riso Venere with shrimps (4 pieces) not well seasoned.

for 30.- all-you-can-eat buffet. It was very tasty and had a large selection. The staff was also very friendly! Gladly again.

Great restaurant, unfriendly main waiter, food so-so for the price range. Waiter thinks he's funny and probably doesn't like working very much. We only received the wine list after asking twice. A guest's schnitzel was not fried, but was at least replaced. We probably won't come again.

Breakfast buffet including warm drinks for 29.- you can't say anything about that. The service is also very friendly. Important: If you choose the buffet, do not order drinks from the staff, as they will be charged separately. Make it yourself at the buffet.

Nice staff and delicious food. I had a good meal with fish; Zurich salad and a chicken sandwich; the French fries are very crispy and yummy 😋 Ice cream is normal but okay; not too sweet like I want. The restaurant is open on all days of the week; we chose it because it was at our accommodation and open late on weekends but the experience was so amazing. Highly recommended!

We spent two wonderful evenings in the Buckhuser Restaurant and received extremely courteous and friendly service. The food was great and gluten-free options weren't a problem either. The team is incredibly good and, together with the great location, created a unique atmosphere. We'll be back, that's for sure!

Unfortunately insufficient. The waitress insisted that I didn't have a reservation despite written confirmation. No sorry or anything like that. After that the service was very disorganized. Several waiters asked us about the same order. Nothing is likely to be agreed upon or stored in the system. Very unpleasant for the paying customer. Will consider other restaurants in the future.

Been living in Zurich for over two years where I have gone to a restaurant 1-2 times per month, and I have to say this is by far the worst restaurant I have been to in Zurich which should say alot. They use canned fruit. They used frozen meat (probably from Aldi). We ordered ribeye, but all we got was a stake that tasted like rubber. We also ordered some bacon with our starter and it was like chewing on plastic dvds Avoid this place like the plague The service was good though

Restaurant of the Placid Hotel with modern bistro-style furnishings made of concrete and wood. The service in general made a lot of effort, unfortunately our waiter was somehow not on task, so various things were forgotten. But this couldn't dampen our enjoyment of Moules Frites, as they were excellent and the fries were very large and crispy.

A really great location to have a good and inexpensive breakfast. The breakfast buffet is varied with fruit, yogurt, bread, croissants, eggs and much more. Cold and warm drinks are included in the price for the “all you can eat” buffet. Really great!!! The staff is very helpful and friendly! I would come back at any time. Thanks!!

Our friends were staying at the adjacent hotel (Placid Hotel Design & Lifestyle) and traveling with a child, so it was best to go to a place nearby! Was a bit hesitant to go to Buckhuser because there weren’t a lot of reviews available on Yelp, but actually glad we came here! The food and service were both spectacular! The restaurant asked if we had reservations, but for a Friday evening (8 PM) this place was not busy at all! However, you can book a table online if you want to be safe. My fiancé and I split our entrees. He ordered the chicken club sandwich (not pictured), and I ordered the veal burger. Both entrees were served with a side of fries. I felt like both entrees were very good! Everything tasted way fresher than what I am used to in the US! I was blown away by the food. Also, +++ stars were for the non one-time use sauce containers! I loved that little touch and wish more restaurants were like this and more sustainable!

I had a wonderful evening at Buckhuser on Valentine's Day! The service was very attentive and the food was simply delicious. The atmosphere is very nice and I immediately felt comfortable. I was particularly impressed by the wine recommendation, which went perfectly with my meal. I can only recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back! The service was very nice & accommodating. The ambience of the restaurant is really nice, but back pain occurs after sitting on the uncomfortable chairs for a long time. The food was delicious, although there is a small selection for vegetarians. Unfortunately my pasta wasn't cooked all the way through, but that wasn't a big problem. The rib-eye steak was very delicious. Personally, I would expand the wine list and add one or two wines for the sweet wine lovers. We would like to come back.

Wonderful breakfast buffet-so many options, from bread + cheese, cereal, fruit, yogurt, hot items, etc. Service was also great!! A plus was that the staff made hot drinks per request. Price is very good for the meal. Setting was very modern and clean. Would definitely go back again.

We actually like to eat at Buckhuser as a group because we work nearby. Unfortunately, I didn't have a good experience today when my food was served barely warm. The “truffle” ravioli tasted like nothing, no trace of truffle. In addition, the male waitress was extremely rude and made me feel like I was being treated like a child. A pity

Food was terribly bad, club music from 2014 was playing so loudly, set-up is fine, but more a food hall vibe than a restaurant. Not worth the visit.

The restaurant is based in a hotel. It's 5 mins walk from Tram Station Kappeli in Zurich. I can recommend the mussels. They are very good. Their burger is also very good.

Probably it was a bad day for the breakfast/brunch here, but most stuff were empty when we went there and it took forever for the restaurant to have some of them refilled... Not a great experience after all.

Really liked their Sunday Brunch! Especially the option to have a basic nice brunch that really includes already so many choices at a fair price (hard to find in Zürich) and then add extra items "a la carte" at a reduced rate of you already choose the main buffet brunch. Really great concept

Pleasant atmosphere for brunch on Sunday morning. 😌❤️ For 25.- you get bread, cold cuts, fruits, cheese, yoghurt, muffins, croissants, bacon, scrambled eggs, muesli, orange and grapefruit juice, all sorts of jams and chocolate spread etc. Of course you can also add cappuccino, espresso and latte Macchiato etc. have. All you can eat. For me, a good place for brunch. I've been there twice now and I'm still impressed. 😌😘 The parking garage is a bit special with an entrance and exit, but it's okay😅. You can have your parking ticket validated free of charge at the reception when you leave.👍👍👍

We celebrated two birthdays there. The staff was friendly and tried hard. The table was specially served for us and part of it was on the house. There was happy hour (2 for 1) until 7 p.m. The mussels were good! A pleasant, calm atmosphere. I can only recommend the restaurant.

We took a city trip to Zurich 4 weeks ago. We stayed at the Placid Design Hotel, in the same building as the Buckhuser. We had booked half board, breakfast and dinner were in the Buckhuser. A very good choice as we discovered on vacation. Praise to boss and employees, always friendly and competent. Breakfast was good, dinner great. Especially on the mild evenings on the outside terrace. I thought it was particularly great that we were treated to a really great dessert and champagne on the evening of my birthday and our wedding anniversary. Thank you again for this. For us, this restaurant was definitely a highlight of our vacation.

Everything was right here. The service was quick and very friendly, the food was very well cooked, and the price was very fair. That's why this restaurant deserves 5 stars. The moules frites marinière (750gr) extra large from Holland for CHF 29.00 were absolutely the best quality and the sauce was first class. Probably the best moules I have eaten in Zurich. The chocolate soufflé for 9.00 is also first class with a very fair price. Only the coffee cream was a little watery. Nevertheless, the 5 stars are more than deserved.

In principle nice and clean, friendly staff. I was looking for just a coffee and croissant for breakfast (was not a guest at the hotel) which wasn't possible. There is only the option of a big buffet.

Zürich, a city that wants to do too much and gets lost, like this megalopolis, this restaurant that would like to look, but which doesn't look at all, as the song would say.. The coldness of the spaces and the staff contrasts with the warmth of the prices on the menu. The cuisine is really not worth the detour. If you're passing through the area, don't stop.

In Coronazeiten ist es sehr angenehm, wenn es nicht so voll ist. Und wenn das Essen (aktuell sind die Moules frites sehr zu empfehlen) und der Service dann noch gut sind, darf man sich über einen schönen Abend freuen.

Die Sesseln sind äußerst bequem und den Abstand zwischen den Tischen finde ich überaus vertretbar. Dort bekommt man in keinster Weise das Gefühl, wie Sardinen in der Dose Abend zu dinieren.Das Personal hat hurtig, reinlich und freundlich gearbeitet.Das Lokal ist durchgehend nett und wir hatten da einen herrlichen Nachmittag.Die Speisen waren reizend angerichtet und werden jederzeit warm gebracht.

Tolles Restaurant mit guten Mittagsmenues zu bezahlbaren Preisen. Auch mitten am Nachmittag zu empfehlen, einfach mal ein Kaffe auf der grossen Terrasse im Hinterhof trinken und sich dem Kollegen oder Kolleginnen austauschen.

El menú de almuerzo diario cambia siempre es agradable, especialmente la hamburguesa semanal los miércoles:), y también tienen excelentes ofertas de temporada. Pero también es un gran lugar para tomar una cena relajada o tomar algo. El personal siempre es amable y cercano. El Buckhuser se ha convertido en uno de mis lugares favoritos en Zurich desde su apertura, especialmente en Altstetten.

Great place to lunch and to hang out in the evening. Friendly waiters, great food and fancy cocktails after work. A good collection of beers and spirits.

I can recommend restaurant Buckhuser to anyone! Their mussels are as fresh as they can get for a landlocked country as Switzerland, and I really liked their fries! Besides the mussels they have variety of dishes and the ones I tried were all great. Furthermore, their service is very friendly. Lastly, for Zürich their prices are fair.

Das Preis/Leistung Verhältnis stimmt nicht. Heute das Fischmenu gegessen, mehr Teig als Fisch bei den „Knusperlis“und das Fischfilet war auch kein Gaumenschmaus.

Il locale è molto carino e arredato con cura (spettacolare la collezione di bottiglie di vetro di ogni foggia e misura all'ingresso, sopra il guardaroba). Anche la cucina è all'altezza, molto appetitosa la soup of the day (crema piccante di cipolle). Il menù offre prevalentemente carne, che non mi andava, così anche se suona strano ho ordinato muscoli e patatine fritte. Per essere a Zurigo, erano anche buoni. Complessivamente un buon locale, con equo rapporto qualità-prezzo e servizio adeguato. Promossi.

Eigentlich nehmen wir uns bei jedem Besuch vor, doch öfters hierher zu gehen, da das Essen fein ist und der Service sehr freundlich. Dieses Mal hat uns insbesondere das Reh-Tatar und der Rehpfeffer sehr gut geschmeckt. Wir wundern uns immer, dass in einem so guten Restaurant doch recht wenig los ist...

Sua decoração é moderna e simples, tal como todo o hotel, repleto de linhas retas, sem perder seu conforto e requinte.O restaurante em si também é super agradável e garçons simpáticos, que puderam fornecer as informações que desejamos (grupo de 6), atendendo as necessidades. Bebidas e comidas servidas na forma e temperatura corretas.Para nosso grupo, que ficou no hotel, foi uma ótima surpresa, pois pudemos ter um excelente jantar após um longo dia de turismo.

Danke an alle, die das fantastische Apero für heutige Feier vorbereitet haben, serviert haben und sich um alles andere gekümmert haben. Es war ALLES fantastisch. Update: 12.10.19 Heute waren wir da zum Brunch. Einfach sehr sehr empfehlenswert. Buffet ist nicht riesig, aber absolut ausreichend, damit jeder mehr als genug zum Essen findet. Die Qualität ist in meinen Augen auch top. Dazu muss ich sagen, dass ich diese Ambiente - - der schlichen, aber moderne industrielle Styl des Restaurants absolut liebe. Auf jeden Fall vorbei kommen und sich selbst überzeugen. Mitte September 2019 Mega schönes ruhiges Ambiente. Kurz im Innenhof ein kühles Turbinen Bräu (Rekord - Malzbier- mein lieblings Bier im Moment) sehr vorkommendes Personal und wirklich sehr schönes Restaurant. Muss, mal zum Essen kommen um mehr sagen zu können. Aber der Erste Eindruck ist schon sehr gut.

The restaurant is insight the Placid Hotel. The interoir is very modern and stylish but what stands out is the friendliness of the staff and the delicious food. The veal liver is delicious as well as the cordon bleu filled with cheese from a selected mountain farmer. I will come back for sure. Ate in this restaurant on my last night in the hotel, it is very pricey but I splashed out on my final night. The desserts are delicious.

Lamento decirlo, pero el servicio es más que malo. Por lo general, el personal no está orientado al servicio, parecen estar realmente molestos cuando se les hacen algunas preguntas sobre las opciones de alimentos. Tuve que ir al restaurante varias veces por razones de negocios, y nunca tuve una experiencia positiva. No se ofrecen opciones veganas reales y el personal de servicio no hace ningún esfuerzo por encontrar una solución, en cambio, recibe algunos comentarios muy groseros sobre elegir comer de manera diferente. Realmente es una lástima, el lugar tendría potencial, pero no así.
