Burger's Bohrerhof in Allschwil

The Bohrerhof restaurant is characterized by first-class food and excellent service. The asparagus starter was freshly and deliciously prepared, while the main course was a delight with juicy saddle of lamb and potatoes. The dessert was a real highlight and rounded off the meal with its exquisite presentation and delicious flavors. A special thank you goes to the outstanding staff, especially Katia, who made our day special, and the talented chef Markus Burger, whose culinary creations exceeded our expectations. Overall, a brilliant gastronomic experience that we would happily repeat.

Without a doubt the best place to eat in Basel for the price we paid. We had an excellent daily menu, with soup, salad and main course for a very good price, and they also served us the side dishes that were left over. But without a doubt, the best was the treatment, close and very authentic at all times. The best experience of our visit to Basel.

Once again we were able to spend a wonderful evening at the Bohrerhof in Allschwil. The Trois fillets were excellently prepared and, as always, they offer a poem with crispy fish. In the end we were so full that we had to forego the desserts, which were also very good. We had a brief, uncomfortable moment when we looked at the bill. We didn't entirely agree with one item. After a nice explanation from the boss, the matter was already settled. Conclusion: We will come back!! Thanks to the whole team for this lovely evening.

We had our departmental event with 9 people in the Bohrerhof and it was wonderful. In addition to the great ambience, the very charming and attentive service, the food was also excellent. For starters we had some crispy fish with a fine tartar sauce. Afterwards there was the "Les Trois Filets" menu, which consisted of three services with different fillets - very, very fine... I can only recommend the Bohrerhof, be it as a restaurant for an occasion or just a cozy place for two Enjoy dinner.

One of the most beautiful gardens in summer and always something going on. But even in the cold season I always receive very friendly service. I was warmly welcomed, the atmosphere is nice. The kitchen is phenomenal, what they prepared in a short time deserves praise. The fried fish is for a medal, as is the cake with apples. I had a nice time, we said goodbye nicely, I'm looking forward to the next meeting.

At the end of the Dinner the Chef stopped by to verify the customers' satisfaction; on each table which gave it a WOW effect 😍 👌 😉. It is worth highlighting his kindness and empathy with clients. We have been guests at the Bohrerhof for several years and every time we feel like we are back in our own room. We dined there after our wedding and toasted the birth of our first son in the beautiful garden. So this place always has a special place in our hearts. This pretty restaurant is recommended for several reasons: price/performance is great, the staff are passionate about it and best of all: the food is cooked with passion! The raw loin is unique, but the à la carte dishes are also always recommended. Excellent restaurant a few minutes from the centre, using tram or bus. We stayed for dinner and in winter, so we didn't take advantage of the outdoor areas. Inside, the place is very welcoming, elegant, with a warm family atmosphere. The dishes were all excellent, with a special mention for the game medallions, served with many appetizing and well-assorted side dishes (fruit, chestnuts, vegetables,..). We also appreciated the kindness of the staff who helped us choose the courses, with excellent advice and the final chat with the chef who also speaks Italian (and loves Italy). Prices are fair, maybe even cheap for Basel.

Just fantastic! If you like a traditional meal, you have to go here. The food is fresh, seasonal, extremely high quality and tastes excellent. The plates are beautifully presented, not too much frills, you can see and taste the love. Staff TOP, you feel looked after and at home, as if you were eating with the family. What is particularly noteworthy is that the chef/innkeeper greets his guests personally at the table and takes the time for a short chat, we love it, we appreciate it, we always enjoy coming.

In my opinion, it is a good middle-class restaurant with fine, tasty Süplemance. A man comes into the living room and wants to spend the day there. That's how I perceived it. The service... lovely, nice, competent... top The ambience, warm-hearted. You arrive as soon as you sit down. The host is a great guy too, comes out of the kitchen, asks questions etc. It was the first time there... but certainly not the last

The restaurant owners are very friendly and put you at ease immediately. When you enter the restaurant you find yourself immersed in a typically Swiss universe that is very pleasant and the meals they offer are delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We really enjoyed the excellent food and the excellent service from very friendly and attentive staff. Despite the large number of guests, the boss also went into the garden and asked at every table whether everything was OK. O. was in a very positive mood for us. We will go again.

We have been going to Bohrerhof in Allschwil for many years and have never ever had a bad experience. The food is delicious, the atmosphere among all the strangers when it's crowded is amazingly friendly - The staff are very nice, so good at what they do and nothing is too much for them. Markus and Katia work so hard and always have a nice word no matter how stressed it is. I wish we lived next door :-)

The ambience under the plane trees in summer deserves seven stars; The dining room is a bit narrow and very loud when full. Overall, the Borerhof is a place you need for a good life!

A culinary delight in an oasis of well-being Wonderful food, venison medallions in an excellent game cream sauce, red cabbage with chestnuts, Brussels sprouts, poached pears and plums, grapes, cranberries and homemade spaetzli. Everything freshly prepared and cooked. Beautifully prepared plate. As a starter, fine homemade soup and mixed salad. Rosé Prosecco for après, dessert vermicelle with vanilla ice cream, meringue and cream or fresh apple tart with sorbet and cream. What more do you want. We were spoiled for choice when it came to the Sunday menu. Be it beef medallion with Bernaise sauce and herb butter, perch fillet in beer batter or veal steak with morel cream sauce or the venison medallion. Cozy restaurant with a homely atmosphere. Very nice staff, the service attentive and extremely friendly. Even though the restaurant was fully booked, there was no rush from the service. Each table could eat at their own pace, no waiting times, the courses followed not too quickly, not too slowly, everything was just right. The chef and chef demonstrated professional pride by showing the neighboring tables the freshly prepared saddle of venison, which was excellently presented on a silver plate. At the end, the boss took time for small talk with all the guests and asked whether they were satisfied with the food, etc. We found this a nice gesture and will certainly consider this host couple again, who offer excellent cuisine, fine food in a cozy atmosphere with loving service. What a warm welcome and friendly service. The whole team is extremely well-coordinated. The restaurant was very busy - make sure you make a reservation. There was a 3-course daily menu on Saturday for CHF 21! - The soup was super tasty and homemade. The salad plate was fresh. Main course was of choice. The sauce the fish was a poem! There was enough fresh bread for the soup and again for the salad. An all-round successful one Visit to a restaurant 💜

I simply cannot find any fault. The atmosphere is homely and unpretentious. There were families with kids, dogs, but it was quiet and amiable. The food was superb and, for a foreigner like me, full of surprises. The Swiss wines were pretty and fragrant. The service was relaxed and attentive. 10/10 for me.

In a friendly atmosphere, the team will serve you very good dishes prepared with care with a smile. The lunch menu is "short" and devilishly efficient, which guarantees you quality and fast service (very valuable if you have to return to work quickly). Even though the room is large, I would recommend booking. In season: the terrace is large and the trees provide just the right amount of shade and freshness to have a pleasant time.

I recently celebrated my birthday at the Bohrerhof. We were a large group of 13 people plus children and babies. From reserving a table to ordering food, I was always informed about everything I needed in a friendly and courteous manner. The Burger family also called me the same day to alert me to the cool temperatures regarding table placement. So we were able to enjoy the aperitif outside and the food inside. I really appreciated that. The service was very courteous throughout the entire evening. Be it extra pillows, short-term changes in portion size or someone leaving earlier. In this case, the dessert was quickly converted into apple tart so that this guest could also take some of the dessert with them. The food was excellent! From the colorful mixed salad as a starter, to the beef 'Chateaubriand' with vegetables and croquettes, to the sorbet plate with fruit. All in all, we had a wonderful evening and I would like to thank the whole team again. We'd love to come back!

You just have to find it cozy under the huge, shady chestnut tree. Especially when you can let yourself be pampered by the charming and extremely attentive waiters, led by Katia. Not only have I been a guest since day one, but I also have the privilege of having Markus cook for me in my stroller under the stairs.
