Everything is great in this restaurant. Everyone goes out of their way to pamper their guests.

The food was good, but the service employee was very unpleasant, unfriendly, didn't respond to questions/was annoyed and ended up ripping the receipt out of my hand?! No-go for this price.

Wonderful location for a date night! We were thrilled by the great decoration, the great hospitality (thank you dear Luisa<3, we really liked your warm openness and fulfilled all of our wishes) and the food was more than premium. Very tasty cordon bleu! We will come back in the summer, perhaps on a motorcycle tour in the beautiful garden restaurant.

The Bürgisweyerbad restaurant in the garden is an absolute dream. It couldn't be more idyllic. Unfortunately, not everything inside was left as rustic as it was. Therefore a minus point for the ambience. The food was fine. Unfortunately, during game season there is almost only game. Since game wasn't our thing, we only had soapstone or liver to choose from. There wasn't even a normal or mixed salad on the menu. But as I said, the food was fine. Although there are a few tiny reservations here too. When I order an egg sponge quiche with fall salad, I don't actually expect a reheated quiche. When I almost only get chickpeas for my fall salad, I'm a little disappointed. If you like beef entrecote bloody, soapstone is a bad choice. Before you know it, the piece of meat is more than done. Luckily we like the meat just that way because there is no way to remove the meat from the hot stone. When the serving staff then tells us that we are responsible for the cooking point ourselves, that's not entirely true. Quickly gratinating the potato gratin with parmesan may be very practical in the kitchen. But in my opinion, parmesan doesn't belong on a potato gratin. But perhaps there is room for interpretation. Nevertheless: All in all, a good kitchen. Definitely worth a visit.

We stopped by on the way through and enjoyed dessert. The Coupe Messelrode and the Apfelkücklein were excellent and the service was very accommodating. So, we're looking forward to eating there...

THU Aug 17, 2023 We stood in front of or at the please wait sign for 5 minutes. The older waiter ran past us at least 3 times. Nobody was interested in us. When I made myself known and asked if we could perhaps sit, I was told that it was starting to rain. The rain was short-lived, maybe 2 minutes. I told the lady we didn't mind as the sun was coming out again. Unfortunately without success. I then decided to leave again and they called after us, if you want you can......... It's actually a shame, because the food is excellent. What also surprises me is that many visitors have complained about the same thing for months, years and still no change. As the saying goes, the jug goes to the well until it breaks.

Yesterday we were able to be pampered by them, with friendly, attentive service and delicious, beautifully presented plates. The weekly hit menu is a very good value for money offer. The main courses on the menu are on the upper level. One or two medium-priced dishes would round off the menu. The garden terrace and garden is a lovingly designed oasis of well-being. Thank you for a successful trip for your palate, heart and your hospitality. We will be back.

I reserved a nice place 2 weeks before my birthday, we then had to leave because we were given a place with a lot of wind, when we complained they couldn't find an appropriate solution, we would then have been allowed to eat inside, where the tablecloth was totally dirty, we then got up, said thank you and left. It was a completely successful evening. The Chateaubriand was wonderfully tender and both plates were beautifully presented. The ambience in the garden couldn't be nicer. We were served very nicely and competently. Definitely one of the most beautiful locations in the area.

You call specifically for a birthday and make a birthday greeting over the phone, which is then followed up with zero compliance and all that comes to the mind of this great boss is “it just happened”. A decent restaurant would do more than simply give a crude and cheesy answer. Zero service, zero customer friendliness. Not to be outdone in terms of arrogance, so rude. Restaurant not recommended!

The service left a lot to be desired. We had to wait 5 minutes until we were shown to the table. We also had to refill the wine ourselves. The terrace was well occupied but not full. A service employee would have had enough time to take care of it! The food was fantastic!!!! The prices tend to be on the higher side. 1 liter of spring water is charged at a price of Fr 9.00. In our opinion this is totally exaggerated. Enjoy the location with the pond.

The food was good! The outdoor area is particularly beautiful and cozy. Unfortunately, the interior cannot match this beauty. The waitress, a gentleman with bright, conspicuous suspenders, was unfortunately very unfriendly. It is also particularly questionable that a rosé that can normally be purchased for CHF 15 was sold here for four times as much. That seems almost outrageous. One of the 4 people's starter arrived 10 minutes late (with no apology). At CHF 41, five pieces of perch fillets (neither local nor organic) are simply too much. Especially considering that there were flowers of life, Buddha statues, etc. everywhere, I would have liked a larger selection of local food (the labeling was largely non-existent) and organic products.

Very fine food and a very nice place to stay. Unfortunately there were very long waiting times. Service could be more attentive. All in all we had a very nice evening. We'd love to come back.

We spent a cozy afternoon in the beautifully decorated garden restaurant, enjoyed a fine ice cream and a refreshing house aperitif. The beautiful pond with seating also invites you to linger. In short: after 10 minutes of waiting at the entrance we left again. We were seen, but neither greeted nor noticed. The blonde service worker preferred to bring drinks and bread to the tables. that three times. She didn't think it was necessary to greet. He walked past us without noticing us. and the older lady looked us up and down and looked like it was about to start raining. Did I mention that she didn't think it was important to greet us or accompany us to the table? At the entrance it says: 'please wait here. An extraordinary visit started in the other direction from Bern, on the border with Lucerne is the Bürgisweyerbad. Simply put "obe usa" The food was delicious, the soapstone is recommended. The service was simply “top attentive and friendly!!” Price performance is right. Despite the distance, we would love to come back. Regarding the negative references of the thumbs down pushers: Just as you call into the forest, it comes back!

All in all the food was very good. Unfortunately, the vegetarian and classic Flamkuchen wasn't quite our cup of tea. Unfortunately the service staff was completely overwhelmed. We had to wait ages before we even got the card. Unfortunately the menu wasn't complete either, the lady had to come three times to bring us the Cordon Bleux menu and children's menu and read out the daily menu. We then ordered 2 tarte flambées, these came first. Wrong... Unfortunately, the coordination with the children's menu was also a bit awkward, our food came about 30 minutes later. It took an eternity for us to get the dessert menu and then our coffees were forgotten... We even had to wait in line at the "terminal" to pay with a card. Everything could be better organized to better justify the experience at this price.

The restaurant is on our regular cycling route and passed by maybe 50 times. Parking always busy, in the summer the garden is full of people. That was a good sign and, finally, we decided to try. Amazing experience, great service, and delicious food. Decent price for the quality, not fussy, just good food in a warm, cozy atmosphere. A sure place to come back. So happy to have tried it.

My absolute favorite restaurant! My fiancée and I are often guests here and we always feel comfortable. It is always a new experience to dine here and just to be there, because there is always something new on the menu and often something new in the decoration/pictures. You meet the Schreiber family in person every now and then, which brings out the best part of a family business - transparency! Absolutely TOP!

I rarely give five stars to a restaurant, but this one definitely deserves it. We were served in a friendly manner, all of our wishes were taken into account, the food was served at convenient intervals and tasted fantastic. What particularly pleased me were the perfectly portioned main courses: with a starter you were full afterwards, but you could still afford dessert. The flambéed fillet is an event and tasted great. The fish was also wonderfully seasoned and the vegetables were still nice and crunchy in all the main courses. I would particularly like to point out the Picaie 2013 - Cecilia Beretta: This red wine was fantastic, went well with both the meat and the fish. In terms of price, the restaurant is definitely on the higher end, especially in the rural region of Oberaargau, but it is definitely worth it!

We celebrated a birthday of six as a family. The location is super beautiful and very well maintained, especially the garden. Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us all. The vegetables were almost overcooked and didn't seem fresh. The spaghetti was swimming in oil, instead of the piece of lamb kidney (as listed on the menu), there were too few racks of lamb (son was still hungry afterwards). At these prices we expect better quality of food and also sufficient quantity. The service was thoughtful and friendly. Commendable: After a complaint about the spaghetti floating in the oil, this meal did not appear on the bill.
