Very nice place to stop at the edge of the slopes and sunbathe. The only regret was that the fondue was really too liquid. Given the world, we didn't want to bother to correct it. We will come back all the same

Very good food, very friendly staff. You can see how they make the food fresh in the pans. Definitely an insider restaurant of sorts.

Stayed here in winter with my family and the manager was welcoming and made us feel truely at home would recommend for anyone looking for an adventure in comfort warm beds and homely food would definitely come back!!

Magnificent setting, warm welcome

Great place to stay overnight after a hike. We loved the overall service and stay here. The view is marvellous 🏔️ rooms are clean and dinner is simple but testy 🍲 The only thing i believe this place needs to modify is the top rooms. They make a lot of noise while walking on the floor and could be disturbing for the people staying below. 🙂 This would be the one and only change needed in this place, it’s perfect in all other aspects ❤️

Great cabin, we stopped to eat a cheese crust and a mixed salad, the view is magnificent, the team very friendly, great spot.

Very good homemade pies! The staff is also super friendly. The women who served us exuded the joy of living and it is clear that they love their work. It’s nice to see that!

The view from the Balavaux cabin is incredible! We are in a little corner of paradise far from the noise of the ski lifts and in full sun, it's very nice! The dishes are good, although a bit light in terms of quantity. It must be said that after skiing, we have an appetite. The new order-taking system is good, if not better, but there is quickly a wait inside. I still recommend it, for the good humor shown by the staff 👌

Great lunch spot when skiing or walking on south facing slope for sun lovers.... Good food and drink and reasonably priced. Inside seating and great terrace with tables and sofas. Excellent homemade tarts....

This is not what you expect when you come skiing. Hostel like concept. Make sure the bill is correct. First time 40 CZH too high. So pay attention.

Wonderful place for a lunch break while skiing; the cabane has a beautiful terrace and breathtaking views. We enjoyed delicious meals and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Owner in Nendaz, I like to invite my family to lunch at the cabin. But the new manager must learn to welcome and respect customers, otherwise she must make a career at the prosecution office.

Very sweet welcome. A classic Swiss chalet with a twist of good vibes.🌞 The food is delicious and there is a serious effort to propose the classics (fondue, croûte fromage, raclette, meat plates ,salades) with a touch of originality compared to the average mountain restaurant. 🧀Local cheese, from the farm 300m down the street. 🥦Vegetarian options. 🥧The homemade apricot pie is a must. 🍹Homemade iced tea. HIGHLY recommend. Will come back for sure!

A really beautiful alpine pasture with a fantastic view. The three girls are super sweet and active. You get along well with English, otherwise everything is in French. Easy to reach on foot from the cable car. Further down is the 700 year old larch. But be careful, the path is tough. And don't forget, .an has to go back too.

Wonderfully hospitable, very laid back environment, a perfect end for a day of hiking. I am unable to speak on the lodging, as I already had a place to stay when I found this place, but if I didn't already have lodging, I absolutely would book a room here.

Despite the beautiful view, very disappointed, platter at 32.- not very generous, 1.- per slice of extra and dry bread exaggerated I don't think I'll come back again

What a hidden germ where one feels like home! The deco,the welcome,the drinks,the staff. Everything was great and my all group who I led that weekend loved it too and kept talking about it the next day. I will definitely be back🤩🤩🤩🤩 It's really a pity that people leave 1 as a review. They either do not know how to appreciate things or are jealous...

Back from the Balavaux cabin where we spent the night. Magnificent object of work, splendid terrace and view on the other hand execrable welcome, non-existent smile and kindness what a shame for such a beautiful place. I wanted to introduce it to my family... I will go elsewhere...

They used to have the best Goulash soup and macaroni with local cheeses. The food is still good but the menu is a little short. But the location and view is JUST GREAT.

Beautiful place to stay and relax. The food was great and the place is run and furnished with a lot of heart. An all-round lovely stay with a wonderful view and a unique sunrise and sunset so that you don't just come here once😉It's also a great place to take a break in winter for skiing and snowboarding⛷🏂

More than 1h30 of waiting without finally being served. So we left while being reimbursed. I won't go back there again

A fantastic stop for coffee and cake or for lunch with delicious local beer. The team is very welcoming and there's always a great vibe. The food is excellent. Swiss classic dishes but also creative vegetarian options.

Don't forget to order at the bar. The food is delicious and the view is astonishing. During summer you can go by car, but it is mostly a dirt road so will take about 25-30 minutes from Nendaz. Definitely worth the trip!

Apart from the great view, theres nothing worth talkin about. We ordered one dish per person and had to wait 30 minutes for the first dishes, just to realise they won‘t serve the other dishes together cause they‘re main plates or deserts. Not quite the right concept in winther when nobody has 2 dishes. And to top it off they tried to serve the cake after we got the bill.

Great location with truly fantastic views, good friendly service food and drink.

Service was breathtakingly slow. Had to remind our waiter five times to bring us our beers. We even doubled up, so we wouldn’t have to wait again... Food also took over an hour to come out and I had to physically bring our dishes from the pass to the table (much to the amusement of my friends). I ordered a Mac and cheese, but the chef had forgot to put any cheese on it. By this point I couldn’t be bothered to complain anymore, I just wanted this hellish experience to be over. But, in keeping with the rest of the service, we had to wait in a queue to pay the bill. Rubbish. Absolutely rubbish. Would give a 0 if I could.

A magical place, a breathtaking view and setting, relaxing and beautiful. The team is superb, the manager Sophie is a lovely woman. She makes your stay unforgettable with her kindness and attention to feeling at home. A few days at the cabin and you leave with a heavy heart, full of memories and well-being. Without forgetting the cook Mo, as adorable as Sophie. If you go to Haute Nendaz, go to the cabin you will not be disappointed. A big thank you to the team for this magical moment.

Beautiful cabane. Don't expect much unless you're staying the night close to some of the oldest larches in Europe. Beautiful and tranquil setting. Food, drink and sleep are an added extra. Currently up for sale so check before going.

We (15 persons) enjoyed a perfect weekend with overnight stay in the cabane. The team was very hospitable and familiar. Authentic food for that region was served. In comparison with other cabanes in local ski resorts you get, what you pay. Thanks a lot to the team.

Great location when sun is out. But service is very slow. Still waiting for food 40 mins after ordering...

Beautiful view, poor service. It takes a very long time before you can order. When the order comes, it is not complete. And if you want to pay there is no return money. The basics are clearly missing here. A pity!
