One of the best bakeries I know! The best products far and wide. Nice...well-kept restaurant...parking spaces right in front of the house. I always enjoy going there. We recommend.

Everyday coffee, charming and with its own bakery

I bought a braid and a Ruchbrot here. Very friendly and courteous service. The plait was very fine and the bread stays fresh for a long time. There is also good parking space for bicycles in front of/next to the house

One of the best bakeries and pastry shops in the canton of SG, but definitely the best Zopf in the SG Rheintal! We had a motorhome meeting in Altstätten and Cafe Gantenbein delivered rolls and plaited bread to the parking space. A great service - but the quality was even more impressive. This braid definitely has an “addictive factor” 🥰

The staff is very friendly, the shop is pretty old but very cozy and cared for with love. Reading invites you to linger, even alone. Grittibänz was super tasty and unfortunately I couldn't resist the cream slice in the afternoon. Super tasty as it should be. Fine, fresh, crispy pastry and the vanilla cream finely mixed with cream and the sugar glaze is top. So let's go, everything looks very nice.

Very fine brunch buffet with the best Rösti, with ham, onions and/or fried eggs if desired. Crispy rolls and airy braids by the meter. Selection of cold meat and cheese, and at the end various mini patisserie. Excellent price/performance ratio. Very friendly service. Will definitely come a 3rd time👍
