Café-Bar La Strada in Birsfelden

A cozy afternoon with an aperitif at La Strada is simply a MUST in summer! It's so creatively designed, the service behind the bar is very friendly and organized! Delicious drinks and fine coffee. I just really love the ambience, but unfortunately I don't get enough of it. Please keep it up, you are simply great!

La Strafa is located on Kraftwerk Island in the middle of greenery. Very quiet place. It looks very unconventional with the furniture thrown together. Has a hippy touch. The food is very good.

Something else. I didn't know it at all and was very surprised. Will 100% go back ☺️☺️

We were just at the jazz/blues evening on the Circus Meadow in Arlesheim. There was a great atmosphere, great music, but the catering left a lot to be desired! You had to look for prices like in a bar/restaurant for Aperol Spritz or Hugo and the alcohol Long queues, no organization, no concept. The employees neither knew the prices by heart nor could they do mental arithmetic. It was missing in every corner and it was a shame! The musicians had to wait too long for their food, resulting in a break of almost 30 minutes! Dear club members, you have to find another caterer!

Go and see for yourself. It will be worth it if you like an alternative...

Hospitality is probably not that important. At 7.30 p.m., you were no longer allowed to go to the toilet (after drinking and returning the glasses) because it had already been cleaned and they were already closed. Because of a few raindrops. (According to the sign, the restaurant is open until 8 p.m.) Very unfortunate. I won't be able to spend my money there anymore.

Summer holidays in Basel - and the food is great every time! Also good with children to play on the large lawn (bring a ball or Frisbee and enjoy a drink for two)

Today is July 31st. at 4 p.m. reserved for 7 p.m. When we got there we were informed that we couldn't eat there because they didn't have enough guests to keep the business open. The whole thing really irritated us because several other people also wanted to eat there at the same time. And in terms of customer friendliness, the boss or someone from the staff could have informed us about the cancellation over the phone, which is actually normal.

Cool hippie bar on the inseli, offering live music and a very relaxed vibe. Best is to come by bike, and enjoy the sunset right behind the stage. They have some basic food options, but it’s mostly as appetizers. You order and pick up at the bar

Holiday ambience with top staff...

I love this place off the bitten track, in a wonderful very peaceful and spacious location. The 'caravan style' make it so unique. If you want to surprise people with a different bar, this is the place to go.

Love the place: a bit surreal, and the time slows down there somehow, it has this cosy and informal "dacha" feeling. An atmospheric place.

Very nice atmosphere and friendly waitress, the same cannot be said about the kitchen I understand the effort to make three completely identical menu proposals but unfortunately I am allergic to strawberries and berries, present in the three menus, I asked to have something replaced 3 times but evidently it was too difficult for the chef so it was ignored my request and they brought me things that I couldn't eat, thank you, if you don't want to work on Sunday you can easily stay closed

a chilly cool place to be, great voice, daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m

Pretty restaurant facing an open field on an island. Menu is not very extensive but sufficient. We tried the classic flammekuchen and pulled pork burger with fries (CHF19). Ordered two house iced tea (CHF6.50). Decided against the house power tea although it has an interesting mix of ginger and cayenne pepper. Perhaps another time when the weather is not so warm. Food was relatively good. Just a little bit overpriced probably because it is the only restaurant on the island. The restaurant was full even though we went on a Wednesday.

A shame on this magnificent place!, I don't understand how the town of Birsfelden could have authorized the establishment of such a camp!

Wonderful place, somehow still a kind of insider tip. Great caravan rental offer including BBQ, fully stocked fridge (especially the cloudy Chopfab beer and the rosé from Lake Zurich).

The rude manager makes it impossible to recommend this buvette. Serving your customers in such an unprofessional manner and insulting a customer who wants to use the toilet with “but you’re already ordering something” and then asking in an unfriendly and provocative way “young man, is everything okay?” after which you can see the dissatisfaction on the customer’s face See, it doesn't work at all. It's a shame, because the employees are friendly and, according to colleagues, the food is ok. Better avoid the store.

There is everything your summer heart desires here. Great atmosphere on an open lawn with ice cream, coffee, wine and cocktails. For dinner there is pizza and tarte flambée (highly recommended!)... you shouldn't miss the homemade iced tea in a mason jar either. If you don't feel like walking a bit, you can come here and stay.

We really enjoyed it, the big circus wagon is very stylishly decorated. Miguel is a very good host.

It was very nice and cozy. We were 10 people and 5 kids. It is very child-friendly and we ate very well. Thank you Miguel! It was a very nice experience for all of us.

A mixture of garbage and circus and warehouse (lots of wooden pallets screwed together for construction - no words), no idea how or what. Disaster and really not inviting. How can you allow something like that in such a beautiful place? Incomprehensible!

I don't ususally writte reviews, but this time I feel I have to do it to protect a very honourable profession and to prevent customers from being abused. This is a very cosy place in the middle of a beautiful park. It is however ran by an extremely unfriendly, unpolite manager practicing a shamefull behaviour. We just witnessed the individual running this place shouting to kick customers out because the place was full and he couldn't sit waiting people for him to cash more. Never seen such an indecent lack of professionalism anywhere, ever. A 25 CHf order won't buy customers a corner on a sofa for longer than few minutes if they guy thinks he could be cashing more. When people left the guy even dare to start applauding with the intention to humiliate the customers who, certainly, paid too much for a indecent service. A shame for the profession. A shame of individual. A place to avoid.

Cozy, sunny, informal, wonderfully quirky, not too expensive, super child-friendly. Am thrilled!
