At Cathy's you are welcomed as at home. The light wood interior and pretty wall frescoes immediately put you in the mood. The menu is simple, limited but delicious: cheese fondue and Valais plate. We come for it and we are not disappointed!

Initially correct welcome in a nice setting then ignorance. Fondue is all in all very ordinary. We asked for a plate of charcuterie which they tried to take away before the end on two occasions. At the end of the meal we are not offered dessert or coffee, we are brought a plate with some IKEA biscuits (and yes we recognize them). We tried for 45 minutes to ask for coffee and a carafe of water without success despite our kind attempts to order directly at the counter while keeping a smile. We end up going to pay, there is no one so we call into the kitchen. They hand us the credit card machine without asking us how the meal went. Still no dessert, coffee or water. The service was surely too busy with the table of around ten very noisy people who were copiously served with drinks, desserts, coffee and others. We remain courteous but it is a bad experience.

Disgusting place the glasses we had our drinks in smelled like eggs. The women we talked to though we couldn’t speak a bit French. When we ask for something she insulted us in French! She had no patients.

Very friendly service and the decor is rustic and traditional. People travel long distance to enjoy a cheese fondue here and I understand why. It's worth the trip.
