Fantastic food, beautiful ambience!

Food at the wedding was not served as discussed, no effort was made to prepare the plates and the children did not get schnitzel fries as agreed, but schnitzel and fried potatoes with peel. It is absolutely not possible for anything other than what was agreed to be served!!!

We booked catering from Kupferkessel for our garden party and all the guests were absolutely thrilled by the friendliness of the two employees, the cooking over the fire and the food. The children were fully involved in preparing the food and the chef remained completely calm. The food was very nicely prepared and tasted fantastic. The service staff kept track of everything throughout the afternoon and evening. Without them we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the festival as much as we did. The organization in advance was also top and uncomplicated. Many thanks to everyone - 100% recommendation!

I rarely give a negative review, usually I give places several chances and they end up changing my opinion for better. Is not the case with the Restaurant Kupferkessel. Let’s start with the fact that they are unable to update their website properly, when you try to see if they have a menu or if is open, it stills shows the food truck options during the pandemic and appears otherwise to be closed. Later, when you by miracle pass by, you can see is open, but unfortunately their service personnel appears to be disgusted, yes, I said disgusted, to have a costumer arriving. Their faces, mannerisms, tone of voice, it appears to try to deter any costumer from even ordering food there. Honestly, their waitresses, the three times I’ve managed to eat there (I’m not counting the many times they even denied me service for lunch at 13:29) has been impolite, the most unfriendly and to be honest they should look for a job in any Branche that has zero contact with costumers. The food is ok, but not worth the suffering of having to stand the mistreatment of the waitresses.

In the Kupferkessel restaurant you will find exquisite cuisine. The lunch menu is very fine and there is always a vegetarian menu if required. The service is quick and very friendly. From autumn to spring the restaurant was also open on Thursday and Friday evenings. We were wonderfully treated to raclette, fondue or entrecote from the grill. You can now reserve a place for the event evenings that take place on the last Thursday of the month. I am very pleased to find a multi-award-winning restaurant in the heart of Hitzkirch (SRF Mini Beiz dini Beiz, Best of Swiss Gastro, Swiss bread expert jury).
